Dave's Bonsai E56: Colorado Blue Spruce Fall Prune

This video is about my two $10 Colorado Blue Spruce. Though I would have preferred to do this trip about 3-4 weeks ago, I should get no bleeding during this mid-fall Prune. Now the decision is to keep outside or squeeze into one of my cold frames. I also update the Christmas Cactus.

great looking trees. I think Ryan at Mirai says if you're not breaking a few branches when you wire. You're not doing it right. and you are not learning.. same with experimentation. left a like

I know this video is a few years ago, but I just today got a very nice blue spruce at, of course, Gertens. What can I do to it no, trim the trunk size, or the branches? know I can't touch the roots until spring.

Wait on the big chops until further into fall, or even winter.

@@maryweber4176 you are probably okay to chop now. The later into fall the better. If the tree is healthy, go for it.

I think I will give it a try. I would have brought one of them to the meeting on Saturday, but my husband (those were his running shoes I gave you) is having his left foot operated on Friday, tomorrow. He needs round the clock help for several weeks. He's been walking on a broken foot for about 2 years now. @@DavesBonsai
