Thank you, the boot device worked for me. weirdly the headset would charge off the bobovr battery but not the wall charger. It is now charging normally. A definite subscribe from me.
I got one for Christmas after playing on it I plugged it up it wold not work the first method worked for me, thank you for helping me you saved me from a little heart attack 😂
If someone get the 50% charging battery problem.. use this method. You don't need to switch to USB mode to charge it 100%. Simply hold down the power button when the oculus asks to shut down or restart, press the power button again. It goes into dark standby mode and you can charge the oculus to 100% in this state.
What exactly did yours do? Mine is showing a battery with 0% then shuts off :( did yours do that, when I plug the c cord in the side it will not stay on it shuts down

These not a lot of options when it comes to working on these things! Pluss my buttons started sticking drifting! I used alcohol on a Q-tip for that so these other two things I’m just telling you just in case they do happen, but that didn’t work for me
Out the box and within 3 minutes it starts making a extremely loud fan noise, later this goes away but when I try to charge it does not work. I have waited 2 weeks for a heavy paper weight that I can’t charge…

Yes! You can use any USB C cable and any other wall charger. Most of the time I just use my phone charger because it’s more convenient. Hope this helps!
while i was playing i heard a loud pop sound from my quest and it got shut off, idk why but i been trying to get it to turn on for over a week and still nothing. idk what to do now.
So mine is not turning and there is no light when I plug it in. But when I plug it in, the oculus lens are black and flash white. Is it broken? I've also tried several plugins and cords.
My problem seems to be unique. When I plug it in (multiple outlets, boxes, and cables) the light does not come on. If I power on the headset it starts charging but only about 1% every 3 hours. I've factory reset and everything. It says it's charging but leaving it overnight only gets it to about 4%. And when the light does come on its red the entire time.
@@Mrllama-ui5ke Mines been doing it since about July so not sure how recent the update was but I reset the headset and still no fix. Just sent it in for a replacement.

I just did this Reboot option on a dead battery ( oculus didn’t turn on only showed the dead battery symbol) left it on a charger all night even though charger indicator wasn’t showing. In the morning while plugged in I rebooted it Now it’s charging. I’m sure I will have to do this everytime

Tried doing the boot system method, but I remembered my oculus's battery was dead.

My headset was completely dead and wouldn't charge and I did the steps to boot the Device and it started working again 10/10 try fs

I have the same problem. I think it might be tied to the recent software update

Yep I’m screwed the charger port is damaged because nothing else is working and I don’t want to reset it
If your headset is not charging at all (Or not LED) , Just keep holding the power button while plugged in.
