The plastic has broken on one side and the metal cup fork fell out, i had to piece things back together with strapping tape (clear with fibers).
When removing them i used to grab one cup and kind of roll them off my head and place on a hanger, apparently this was too much stress for the soft plastic.
The fact that people are 3D printing replacements says it all, i use but do not abuse my equipment.
Now i have to very gently grab both cups to remove.
Mine are the kingston version, i have had then for almost one year.

This. Plastic parts in a new ones are way worse: sides, sound card clamp, headband - they just basically falling apart by itself, now when it's been almost two years and warranty on majority of new HP units are expired, you can find a boatload of photos from users with cracked and broken parts. Had to cancel my order when I found out that this is HP model, price and discount was so good tho (I'd say suspiciously good, like they're trying to get rid of HP units as much as possible)... Shame. It is normal to experience some variation in the sound quality of a new headset compared to your previous one. This is because different models have different specifications and features that affect the audio output. To adjust to the new headset, its recommended that its used regularly for at least a week and then evaluate the sound difference.
