    I think a second date is always a good choice when there’s the “I don’t know” out there. It will solidify either way. This from a woman who’s been traversing this dating world for.... ever. Perpetually single me. I always regret not going on a second date. So much of what we see on a first date is a glimpse of nerves and a person and trying to impress.

    • @katy_4971

      I definitely agree! I think a second date can't go a miss. Feelings take time to develop and relationships take a hell of a lot of effort!

      Sammi Booger Yeah I reckon 2-3 dates is what it takes to see if it’s worth taking further and that is certainly not leading anyone on, it’s just giving it a chance.

  • @onecuet

    Cassie, have you thought about....that he's as or more nervous meeting you. He might relax more on the 2and date. You're NOT going to have EVERYTHING in common with a guy. I think you ought to give it a 2nd date before kicking him to the curb.

    Give a second date a try, it's not going to hurt anything unless you're 100% positive. Having a "spark" right away is nonsense... plus, he might be more comfortable second time around.
    Fyi, my hubby and I were friends online for years before it became more. He visited me for two weeks and I was totally unsure after meeting in person... until it was time for him to leave and I ended up crying because I didn't want him to go that I knew how I felt, and he stayed with me that whole time.
    So it took two weeks of being together every day.... it made me realize that having a spark is b.s. My mom adores my hubby and thinks I'm super lucky.

    • @bendietrees
      @bendietrees 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree. I met my boyfriend via reddit and I didn't take him seriously cause he's 8 years younger than me. But he flew down to Arizona to visit me and it felt awkward cause well, meeting someone new is just awkward and I'm shy as hell and felt so nervous. Now I'm planning on moving to MN and moving in with him and he's probably the guy I'm gonna marry ☺️

    • @Ayachii220
      @Ayachii220 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      A spark basically means chemistry and you can absolutely tell fairly quickly if there's any chemistry. Sometimes you walk away thinking hm I'm not sure and then a second date is a good idea but she doesn't seem like she's torn about whether she felt something she acts like she knows she didn't feel any chemistry with him and she simply feels bad about it. So yeah I don't think going on a second date is necessary for her, clearly she already knows she's not into the dude

    You're reading too deeply into things. But this guy seems a little intense but I think you should give it another try if he contacts you. If hes focused on money theres a reason why, like I think you have to give people chances. My boyfriend said I was moody and grumpy on our first date which I'm definitely not that and the second he said was the best date hes ever been on and we had a lovely time. I think first dates can be very stressful and I think maybe he was alittle anxious. It takes time to fall in love and feel all these things. You can't fall in love at first sight, especially not on a dating website. It takes time for things to develop and feelings to even occur. If he felt something maybe give it another go.

    Cassie, cut fat completely out of your diet until surgery. I had mine out in March and I had to wait 2 months for surgery. The ONLY thing that helped me was cutting fat out of my diet. I averaged less than 10 grams of fat a day before surgery and it made all the difference in the world. I didn't have a single attack once I cut the fat out. I know it's hard, but being honest with yourself and whoever you're out with isn't going to hurt anything. Good luck! I feel your pain.

    Hi Cassie! I had my gallbladder removed about 4 years ago when I was 18 and it truly was the best thing i could have possibly done.
    Actually rejected the surgery once and that lead to a lot of pain and numerous pancreatic inflammations.
    The recovery was quite easier than i thought it would be, since it was a laparoscopy (the thing that hurts the most is the gas that they use for your stomach, but it goes away in 2 days top)and now i can eat and live without worrying about getting a colic (as you said it's not pretty, i was honestly so scared of them that i would only eat baby food for days).
    After surgery i was able to eat normally (your body has to adapt though, but it's not going to hurt or anything, just heavy digestions), also you don't have to forget about greasy foods for ever, i do them sometimes and they don't make me feel necessarily bad.
    Good luck!

    Cass, getting my gallbladder out was the BEST thing I ever did. Having no more gallbladder attacks- a godsend. The likelihood of uh... poop problems... post-surgery is pretty low. I eat exactly the same as I did before and am as normal as ever. 👍🏻 ALSO- in the line of “gas pains” post surgery - yes they blow up your abdomen with gas and yes it can travel to your shoulders and hurt. It just happens. You have to pass (poot) it. The easiest way to avoid shoulder pain is to avoid sitting/standing up as much as possible minus getting up for a short walk every few hours to avoid post surgery clots 😊 Hope this helps!!

    Gallbladder pain is AWFUL, like deathly pain - and I’ve recovered from open heart surgery. Gallbladder pain is up there. I’m glad you’re getting it removed. The recovery took me about five days. Only the first two days did the incision site hurt, after that it was just uncomfortable from the c02 they use. Best of luck. Also, people who say you’re “exaggerating” are annoying. I didn’t see the video they would be referring to, but health is the most important thing in this world and usually the ones who aren’t sympathetic have had perfect health their own lives. Cassie ...try differin gel. I use it as a spot treatment. Im fortunate to have good skin for the most part BUT every damn month i get a couple of breakout spots. Lately ive gotten a couple of inflamed, red bumps instead. They hurt badly too !! I just so happened to have had a sample of differen gel from a Walgreens beauty bag so i tried it on my spots. They were more than halfway gone by morning !! This is the 3rd month ive tried it & im hooked. I never would have known w/o that little sample tube so i tell everyone. I hope you see this & try it out ! Its amazing !

    Cassie, please don’t take this wrong but I think one date is never enough to see who a person is. I think both are as nervous as the other and I think one should go on a second date unless of course it’s safety. I think you need to have more faith in yourself and with that comes showing confidence. Anyway I hope you start feeling better 😊

    I had my gall bladder out last week, and whilst they were in there they fixed a hernia in my belly button, and removed a cyst off my liver (both unexpected). I was self funded in Australia, so opted for day surgery, in at 7.30am, out at 4pm. I slept for pretty much the next 4 days, and although I had books and a sketch book next to my bed, all I could focus on was watching TH-cam and other social media. Day 5 I was much better, able to get up, focus and only sleep half the day. Today is day 6 and I’m sore but feel great, awake and energised. Given I’m over 50 and had completely unexpected additional issues, this was probably a slow recovery.
    I could have waited up to a year for free surgery in the public system, but the pain and sleep deprivation was too much.

    I am one of those that when I first met my husband in 2008 (then we got married in 2012), it didn’t go “great” on our first date. But there was a spark there from the start. I know, I know, 🤢.... Each date after that got better and better. Go with your gut Cassie. Please don’t beat yourself up or feel bad for knowing it’s not a fit, being honest with this type of thing is the best way to go. You are most definitely NOT a bad person, just the opposite.
    Wishing you the best!!

    When I had my gallbladder removed, I stayed on the couch at my mommas for 3 or 4 days, took it slow for at least a week, but I felt decent a couple days later. You'll be fine, you'll certainly be glad the "attacks" are behind you!! Just take it slow!
    These are by far my favorite of your videos!!

    It’s a good thing you’re getting your gallbladder out I had the same problem the doctor said I should wait and I ended up so sick and was at the point throwing up blood then a month later also lost my appendix and during the surgery I had a rare stroke that only 2% people survive so don’t let anyone tell you that your exaggerating! Take care of yourself because you’re number one! I’m now legally blind and have bad balance lost so much because of everything and in so much depression, and have only one friend now too but you got this I wish you best of luck with everything!

    I absolutely love these videos. Chemistry and relationships are fascinating. I can really relate to your situation too. My friends encourage me to persevere with guys because they want me to find someone and be happy but you gotta trust your gut. It takes maturity to end it kindly when you know it's not for you. I'm 37 and still single but I want the real thing, not just a placeholder. I am really not that picky but I'm a unique girl who doesn't match with many people. I still 100% believe he's out there for both of us.

    Hey Cassie! I see so much of my past-self in these videos... I ended up meeting my person 5 years ago via Match.com and remember thinking he was really intense when we first met. I went out with him again and things were a lot better - it was just nerves. I was apparently so anxious I stared at the ground a lot and I didn't realize, which he took for disinterest. Glad we both gave each other a second chance. Praying you find whatever makes you happiest in this life.

    I had my gall bladder out aged 38 it's a straight forward operation. Though my surgery took 4 hours instead of 1 hour because my gallbladder was ulcerated because it wasn't taken out sooner. The fact that I was rocking with pain for weeks! Anyway after surgery you go home and are tender for a few days and after 2 to 3 weeks you are totally fine. You might have to be careful with eating fatty foods for a while afterwards as your body gets used to not having a gallbladder.. as I said though it's a pretty straightforward procedure. Xx

    I want to adress the "the fat girl is eating" problem. I am someone who was more or less severely overweight and I have recently and unexpectedly lost few kilos ( don't get me wrong i'm still a bit on the heavy side and need to lose about 7 or 8 kg oh 15 to 20 pounds as some would say but my weight isn't the main focus of my life anymore ...well not everyday at least haha ) and I straight up would feel extremely uncomfortable buying a candy bar from stores or chocolate because I thought people are probably thinking " oh...candy bar ? Figures" and now that weight isn't my all time obsession I realised something : nobody cares what I eat today and nobody did before as well it is indeed all in our heads I realised recently that I have spent a ridiculous amount of time polluting my mind with thoughts like these when my surrounding had probably better things to think about

    Every woman I know has had their gallbladder out by our 40s. It's in and out, back home taking care of their families by the next day. I had it done with 5 kids, including 3 sons age one and under (infant twins), and was fine to send my husband to work the next day, handling alone, nursing twins, just taking Motrin. Try not to worry.

    @Cheryltwin2012 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh Cassie, I'm so with you on the whole don't-feel-good-but-gotta-live-life thing lol. My anxiety sometimes does get the better of me and when I start avoiding people or making excuses not to go out, I know that it has. I do tend to isolate myself and then people lose interest in me. It takes a concerted effort to put the face on and pick a cute outfit and just go out. I'm a lot older than you are (late 50's) so dating in this age bracket is pretty hit or miss. But I love how you are sallying forth anyway. One thing about my stomach churning (caused by nerves in my case) is that it affects my breath, which can make for a very bad first impression LOL.

    Been watching forever, and I’m so excited to see you dating and putting yourself out there. I loved this video, it was like I was 14 laying on the bed talking to my gf’s on the phone. I miss that time of my life so much. You are ah-mazing! But men get nervous too, and maybe he’s a nervous talker or maybe he was trying to impress you with goals and stuff. When you find someone you grow with them and your two “goals” mend together. You’ve heard tons of advice but dating is hard for women and men. You looked great, I loved that eyeshadow!

    Cassie- If you're looking for someone to accept your "crazy" you'll need to understand & be accepting of theirs too! Everyone has flaws. Learn to love those "imperfections" perfectly! 💕 I have my issues. My husband has his. He has Aspergers, ADHD & C-PTSD from childhood. We are both damaged goods. But we help each other fix the broken pieces.... ❤️

    I'm due to have my gallbladder removed soon due to gallstones and issues with my gallbladder and pain etc. The one thing I have felt during this time is that am I being over the top, but no I've realized that every body's is different and some people live with gallstones with no issue. But some of us suffer and we've got to put ourselves first. I've been through child birth and personally think gallstone pain is worse! I wish you the best of luck with it ! X

      A lot of places don't have an interesting non meat option, so you're stuck with a salad or just steamed veggie sides if you don't want a burger or a steak. I assumed she was referencing that kind of vegetables, not complaining about her choice to only eat non animal products.

Your dating life reminds me so much of mine. Anxiety. Tired of modern guys who expect to be pursued. Modern dating is so confusing and annoying. Thanks for being so relatable, Cassie :)
