    Love how the Infotainment system doesn't lag. Don't know why companies don't prioritize fixing lag. Love your work as always.

      It was easily one of the most responsive we've used, one of the reasons we continue to like iDrive over everything else. We'd be curious to see how the system runs with the rear monitors and tablet functioning, not sure if they share the same computer system or each screen is independent.

    As a former '01 E38 (sport) I always love the bigger luxury car reviews. The problem with the 7-series is that , like mine (287km) buying the used is the cheap part AND eventually, (though 287km is some distance for any car).... all 7 series end up being worth much less than $5,000. Great review, I hope a G80 review is in the future. Thanks for the video.

      That's very true, and we're thinking to incorporate something to talk about the depreciation of these cars coming up! We're also hoping to get Genesis at some point, we don't think it'll be too hard since we know the team managing the fleet out here.

    To me, this is so much better looking than the current S Class. I do love the older S Classes though.

      We still love the look of a facelift W220, but the W221 was iffy even though it follows a similar design. We haven't had the chance to drive the W222 yet, but we're hopeful that this episode will get us one step closer to getting one!

      DIAMLER yeah but the s class sells lot more, you barely see anyone driving this car

      The CSi might be hard to find, but we have spoken with the owner of an 850Ci who's interested in letting us film their car. We're hoping to film by the end of this month.

    I hope you guys can review the new Lexus LS 500.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We hope so too. Lexus/Toyota are basically the only manufacturers who aren't giving us press vehicles at this time, but we have reached out to them several times since we've had requests for specific models.

    nice review as always Nile. How has reliability been on the seven series since the dreaded Bangle era cars? Also I've never been in a car with massage seats, are they any good? Or are they just a vibrating sensation?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions. I think like any luxury flagship (Lexus excluded) maintenance is going to be insane. All the tech in this car has the potential to break down and repairs will definitely be expensive. Our E38 is relatively straight forward, even we could work on it if we had the right tools, but something like this is really going to be limited to dealerships. I can't imagine an indie shop wanting to work on something like this.
      We didn't have a chance to use the massaging seats in depth, at least compared to the Cadillac. As far as we could tell there were only 3 presets for the driver, but BMW's website mentions 8. We're hoping to have the chance to get one on loan later this year so we can have much more time with this, the car really deserves it!

    A question in 2016 it looks like they did not make the 75 LI only I ? And 2017 they start making the LI ? And this for the M sport also ? Thanks for the review

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For some reason BMW decided to only sell the long wheelbase models in the USA, but dropped the L from the badging. So all 2016+ 7 Series models are long versions, but badged as if they were short. No clue why.

      LOL. Just imagine this 7 Series back in 2018 was seriously well equipped for the price, now a mid-grade 5 Series could cost the same.

    i know the 740IL is a bit older than this, but how does it compare to the G12?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally if my E38 was absolutely mint, everything worked flawlessly, I would choose it over the G12 only because of it's heritage, people instantly recognize it thanks to the exposure it's gotten in media over the decades. The G12 has so much going on for it though, and it really enhances what luxury is in comparison.

    • @PRNTestDrive

      Definitely down the road! We'd hate to see what the cost of ownership is like on any of these modern luxury flagships once the warranty is over.

    BMW’s are great cars but hit the bucket at resale. All of them do bc the cost of repairs is astronomical. If money is no problem and performance is top priority, BMW is the bullseye! P.S. they are definitely fun to drive!

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed! There's so much technology going into these cars now that repairs down the road are going to be hard hitting for consumers. Most people only lease these during their warranty people and upgrade to the newest model after, avoiding any repairs out of pocket. It's the second owner that's going to have to deal with it.

    luxury german car logic: fells so nice when new, broke your wallet when warranty expired
    luxury asian car logic: good but not amazing when new, doesn't broke your wallet when warranty expired
    the last full size bmw with resonable reliability was probably the E60, a friend of mine purchased a 10 yrs old 250k km e60 but it works without major issue, im sure i cant say the same for a g30 10 years from now

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We love these newer cars, but I feel like they're more disposable than the old ones. Our E38 has been alright, but it isn't cheap to keep it running either. I expect these new ones to cost much more, and few people will bother with them.

    • @rulerss
      @rulerss 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the e60 is the worst 5 series from all times. what an idiot!

  • @Evan-memo

    any car that expense even if it’s a Honda if they make Honda for 120k 5 years from now also will be just as cheap as this no difference has nothing to do with what make it does not matter depreciation goes to any car any make and they will all depreciate more I’m not sure why people think it’s only German even if it’s a Honda or Toyota same thing when people say Honda holds value is because your looking at 20k 25k car not 120k car lol go buy a Honda for 120k see how fast that car will lose value way way more then any other make
