I think you just showed how to destroy a seat belt mechanism.
By removing the latching parts, the belt now comes out easily, but it will NOT latch when it is needed to prevent possible serious injuries. The latch parts need to be in there.
I thought the same thing. Show us how it works when someone hits the brakes....junk.
