The people of Stars Hollow are absolutely certifiable...but I also love them. I'm a big city boy most of the time, but it's the admittedly exaggerated but still believable sense of community/family that I really find appealing about the idealized small-town life.
Someone should remind Taylor that protesting is a 1st Amendment Constitutionally protected right. As long as it remains peaceful, no town can ban anyone from protesting no exceptions.
Nah it was pretty much only Jess, and unlike Emily Lorelei let Rory make her own decisions for who she wants to be with and didn’t try to wreck or break apart any of her relationships and accepts her choices
smurfyday Lol she was being a protective mother over her inexperienced daughter who just had her first kiss I’d say that’s pretty normal and Lorelei had a good relationship with Dean. Logan she only had a problem with because I understand Rory’s character definitely started to change since she’s started dating Logan and a bunch of bad stuff happened as a result. But u obviously didn’t see the very great conversations between Lorelei and Logan where they clear everything up like when he got her to write the letter, and also when they were discussing Logan’s career and maturity path where Lorelei had respect for him also when he asks Lorelei for permission to ask Rory to marry him they had a great respectful conversation before he popped the question to her.U can’t ever compare Lorelei to Emily because she actually wanted to try to see the person as better.

smurfyday that was literally like like the 5th episode of the show, if u remember when Lorelei told Emily that she had a bad feeling about Jess, Emily said that Lorelei must have boundaries and if she has too to lock her and throw away the key! And Lorelei went to Rory saying that she never wants their relationship to be like that, she just accepted if Rory liked him then I’ll stay out of it as much as I can help it.Like I said Emily and Lorelei cannot be compared when it comes to how they treat their daughter’s relationship, plus if u remember with the Dead grocery scene if u remember she was partially mad becuase Rory may have felt that she wasn’t comfortable talking about guys to Lorelei and that scared her becuase Lorelei thought it was important to know about and make Rory feel comfortable to talk about guy related things. Like when Rory told Lorelei that she was thinking of losing her virginity with Jess at some point and Lorelei just told her to tell her before Rory decides to do it. Where as Emily tried to get a minister to talk Lorelei and Rory out of having sex at all!
Luke: "Hey, if anybody has a picture of Taylor getting dumped on, I'll pay top dollar."

That town is one giant mental institution. The only normal ones are Lane and Luke. The rest of them, including the girls are insane.

I've seen this episode in its entirety twice, and I usually skip it on re-viewings, but some of the best parts are the Town Meeting and the Protest.
