- This is my cover of this monster epic song! The whole album it's an absolute masterpiece,and this is my huge favorite from Morbid Angel! I tried to get close as much as possible,but of course it is NOT perfect! Anyway,the only one, MASTER Trey Azaghtoth can play this incredible solos perfectly on my opinion!

Such a huge opener for an album
The best song they ever did, on their best album. To me this song is the definitive death metal song, with the best solo part i ever heard. You played this so well dude, major props. When they came in Montreal in 2002 i think? They played Annihilation most of the show. Best night of my life, way before cellphones too.... just weed and beers. Good memories.

The gallops in this song are too much for me to handle all the way through. I play black metal and found it easier to tremolo the riffs 😔
Those are called "triplets" ,just takes some practicing and a good picking technique.
@@joedeathcarnage2396 Those aren't triplets. They're what I call "tri-gallops" or "three-note gallops". It's two 16th notes followed by an 8th note which takes up the space of a quarter note. A triplet would be three equal length notes that took up the space of that same quarter note and would sound like a rolling tremolo not so much a gallop. You're plying it great! Just calling it the wrong thing. lol Forgive the music nerdery.

I use my ears,l take riffs a part if I have to,and listening separately the different guitar tracks,usually left and right tracks! I wish it would be out there something accurate tabulatura,that would make it easier for me too!

I personally love the Tucker era, Formulas and Gateways are simply brilliant masterpieces! I would love to do more covers, but unfortunately I'm going through some negative shit in my life, and because of this, I'm unable to do anything currently.

I'm using BIAS FX 2,and BIAS Amp2 and I did a few tone match and tweaked till I got close enough! Took me a while! If you know what's Trey's signal chain,you can pretty much do the same thing! I hope,it's help!

Trey uses dual amps and cabs (Marshall JCM900 4100 100-Watt Dual Reverb) with different FX setup,I really don't know what is exactly his EQ settings, etc! Also you have to playing with the mic position front of your cab,till you find the sweet spot!
I did a lots of research and I hardly find anything useful, but here is the amp eq settings ;Gain 10, Treble 4, Middle 5, Bass 7, and Presence 6
