I'd buy the 530d. If i could afford it. Cars keep getting more and more expensive. The current e class and 5 series cost more then the sclass and 7 series did in 2007
This time around 5 Series would take my money. Current E class and A6 look boring to me.

It seems as if you had the front passenger seat in its normal position when you sat in the rear of the 5 series but in the merc and audi the front seat was pushed forward.

I feel.mb should have bought the regular base variant along with the lwb. I prefer the c-class which looks better proportioned. While the e class is an amazing car. It gives a very taxi like feel when u drive it. Kinda like the previous gen superb. Wont be surprised if a lot of 5 star hotels start using e class as their fleet.
This test is grossly incomplete without the jaguar xf and Volvo s90
All the 3 cars are Grossly Overpriced by 15-20 lakhs. Almost 80lacs OTR for E350 is just ridiculous. None of the 3 r worth more than 45lacs.
thank you for saying that.....i cant digest how expensive luxury cars are getting and dont understand how people buy cars that cost as much as 2bhks in a big city
ashish paralkar not really expensive ...but there are heavy taxes on luxury cars that made these cars expensive
nitin nanda all the 3 germans have their manufacturing facilities in india where they r assembling these cars. Nd der hasnt been ne significant increase in duties n taxes rather der has been a decrease in taxes post GST. Jst 2 years back the ex showroom price of 5 series was 42lacs nd suddenly wen d new e class was rolled out d priced ws increase to 63lacs for no reason. Similarly d audi A4 was available for 32lacs otr nd it sold gud numbers but today d new A4 cost almost 48lacs otr which is just insane.. loot rhe hain yeh log aur luta rhe hain hum.
The problem is that the tax is 43 percent on these cars which makes the price go up in comparison to other countries.

why merc is lacking behind in technology then BMW jus for remote parking I ll choose BMW over merc but over all I m deep lover of retro styling merc...how cool to control your luxury car using remote to park..
The only defect that I find to audi is that it has very modern lines to be mixed with wood.
Audi A6 is best car.I personally guarantee it. Superb riding and driving comfort

E-class makes a lot of sense over 5 series...5 series is benchmark in terms of handling but in terms of rear seat comfort its seriously lacking behind E-class...even superb has same or better rear seat space than 5 series
Audi a6 will be going to get a new model.... Mercedese needs a faclift...bmw styling is the best

I guess the last line summed it up. So BMW is being BMW, Merc being Merc and Audi being Audi, and not trying being each other. Gr8. Now if only BMW can get the same done for the 3 Series, we'll have 'The Ultimate Driving Machine' back!
@OVERDRIVE How did you managed E220d acceleration 8.4s from 0-100 km/h ? Did you mean 7.4s? That time is impossible even for older E220d...Mercedes claimed acceleration is 7.3s so I think you meant 7.4s.

I like how you guys compared the old version BMW vs the current one, thanks a lot for that! As far as comparison, I like the 2016 version look much better than the new 2017. The rims looks sportier, the angel eyes look much better and just more sporty overall. I do however LOVE that BMW listened to us the consumer/customer and brought back the spare tire. Overall, a touch choice between these luxury cars. The Audi has some nice armrest features I liked better than the others, the BMW has that sexy sporty look and fun to drive factor and Mercedes has luxury on lockdown. Overall I think I'd take the Mercedes over the other simply because of the space and how long it is compared to the others.
From inside....interiorwise. .noone can beat e class...but need a facelift.
