Even the most polished games can be broken in some ways. Or, rather, glitches, bugs, etc can be caused by the player's input.

Feel like they really nailed the sound effects tbh. Makes the game 10x more scary.

as someone who play horror games with no sound to make it less scary it also adds an extra layer of difficulty

It also increases the chances of jumpscares cause if a monster is following you and you aren't aware of it... Big F when it attacks you. Happened to me a lot!
