Fuck, that long take from boogie nights of bill getting his gun has got to be one of the best in history.

I'm so glad Boogie Nights had a relatively happy ending. That movie just about destroyed my soul.

It’s interesting that although the characters in Boogie Nights are for the most part much better people than the ones in Goodfellas, they would probably be more ostracized if they tried to go back to the “normal” world. Even now, ex mobsters and killers are idolized while sex workers have to live the rest of their lives with it as a mark of Cain of sorts.

Arguably the two best films of the last 30 years.

I'm just glad that actor Ray Liotta was able to stop smoking using Chantix!

2 movies u can watch over and over and over and over and over....but I've seen Goodfellas way more times, but I think everyone's seen Goodfellas at least 186 times....that's what I like about Boogie Nights it isnt over played on t.v and not every friend has seen it when the quality of it is up there in its own way with Goodfellas

One of the best things about Boogie Nights is that the soundtrack is back to back, always rolling, and most songs are played in their entirety on top of being classics. It really shows how thought out PTA was when he made that movie. There is not one moment of one song in one scene of the movie that seems out of place. Incredible film.

Both movies are based on true stories also just so you know. What;s interesting is that both are set in the 70's and 80's.

Glad I easily piece together both films. It's old school storytelling, wayward leads, dynamic licensed soundtracks and cocaine. Love both films.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

My two favorite movies. Makes sense to see the parallels. Also, two of the best tracking scenes ever.
