Imp Rep 66 - The fighting appears to generally be going well, and the Empire has made gains, though pressures have continued to present other problems and ones that worry many within political circles and has also thrown the Emperor into something of a rage. For fleet command has sent orders desiring Lord Vader to join with Admiral Ozzel and the Southern Fleet to secure the Rebel Headquarters on Hoth, likely hoping to take out their leadership and thus provide the Empire with easier fights against the Rebel Alliance for the foreseeable future and in hopes that once the Rebels recover from losing Hoth, that they wouldn't have any strongholds worth mentioning. To those of us in the ISB on Coruscant, this has seemed like a decent strategy. Though, reports that have reached us from many of the front commanders and from the records kept by Ensign Jaeger Meister, that while Lord Vader was complying with these orders... he was also trying to stabilize the various flanks and other areas that could be attacked and devastated had he simply moved onto Hoth in a single-minded pursuit. The front commanders describe this as wise, given that the Rebel navy has proven stronger than expected. And some of this has shown as Lord Vader's fleet has seen tough fights with the Black Sun and now against the Rebel Alliance in the south as he's finally secured the core and moved to try and stabilize the flanks to where he could depart from the Byss Defense Fleet and join up with Admiral Ozzel. It's also reflected in Rebel actions in and around Sullust. Reports indicate that the Rebels attacked the orbital shipyards in force with a large fleet of capital ships and escorting carriers, frigates, and other craft. The defending garrison did rather well, though it should be noted that Rebel starfighters continue to outclass Imperial TIEs and thus prevented boarding shuttles from activating an incomplete Star Destroyer in orbit. But by trying to work within the range of some Golan Defense Platforms, the garrison was able to take out one Mon Calamari Shield Cruiser, two carriers, and a few other escort ships, which left the fleet far weaker than it was it first attacked Sullust. Adequately reinforced at Crait, Lord Vader took one of the flanking stations and then moved the Byss Defense Fleet to engage these weakened Rebels, though while weakened, they were still in a strong position and from there, the fighting at Sullust descended into a bank and forth brawl that would be hard to escape from if anyone was over extended. The Star Dreadnought that led the fleet took a lot of fire and at times was surrounded by various Rebel cruisers and swarmed by their fighters. Its firepower, however, was enough to decimate these ships when they tried to attack it head on and while protected under its guns, the fleet did well. However, as one of the Rebel's capital ships was destroyed, others appeared to hyperspace in, indicating a larger force than expected and an Acclimator Assault ship then charged forward, with some reports from the Dark Bulwark indicated the Acclimator captain shouting "ramming speed" over the radios. The Star Dreadnought then destroyed a couple of the ships that the Acclimator was charging while the Devastator 2 moved to cover the Acclimator's retreat as the order of "no suicide" was given. Lord Vader fought well, it would seem... and the Devastator 2 helped destroy a few more Rebel cruisers, but in moving to protect the Acclimator, it got away from the protective cover of the Dark Bulwark's guns and was ultimately overwhelmed. The Rebels did retreat from the battle, and they lost more ships. But it would appear that the Devastator 2 was destroyed and many of its escape pods were damaged or destroyed. Ensign Jaeger Meister's escape pod was not destroyed, but it did take a glancing hit from an X-Wing which cracked the air seals. While his records were recovered, it would appear that the young ensign was killed by the vacuum of space. Reports indicate that Commodore Shed also made it to an escape pod, but it would also appear that his pod and Lord Vader's starfighter were hit by other collisions and sent into a Rebel capital ship that escaped the fighting when the Rebels fled. We have yet to receive confirmation on whether or not the Commodore or Lord Vader were killed in the course of this, but the ISB has already sent out spies and agents. If they live, the Rebels will surely brag about it... If not, our agents will find them. This may delay operations on Hoth further, and has some officers upset over continued leadership from Ozzel, even in a moment of calm... and has angered others. The Emperor has already ordered execution of the entire crew of the Acclimator that ran forward on a suicidal charge that has gotten his apprentice into the potential for being captured again. It's something that the Northern Fleet's success after taking Yavin won't entirely off-set, though Captain Pellaeon reports that they are close to taking Mandalore, which they think will deal the Black Sun a crippling blow. For the moment we shall see... In the meantime, the ISB will pick up the recording of the campaign until Lord Vader can be confirmed to be alive and imprisoned... and then rescued. - Secretary Boss Mann, ISB, Coruscant.
Getting just a Victory II class destroyer and a bunch of smaller ships even though you have a tier 3 space station seems unfair. At least ISDs should be garanteed for major shipyards like Kuat, Corellia, Sullust, Fondor... since they make them localy (in the lore anyway).

501st Journal Week 233 - ISD Darkstar Sgt. Kale Clayson "The clash at Sullust" Again! The rebels have stalled our offensive in the galactic South, again! How these pathetic rabble are able to stand against the might of the Empire is completely unknown to me. Our part of the 501st returning to the front got the news mid flight. Lord Vader is missing once more. We obviously weren't given many more details than that but that news alone stirred our anger. Apparently the Rebels launched a heavy counterattack at Sullust, wiping out our installations there. Lord Vader responded swiftly but in the maelstrom of battle he was lost. The rebels suffered only moderate casualties in return but the loss of Lord Vader far outweighs the damage we inflicted. Grand Admiral Star has moved to take full overall command of Death Squadron once again in his absence. The Grand Admiral is a well known and well liked figure here that Lord Vader trusted enough to run the fleet in his absence. Under him Death Squadron continued to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies when we lost Lord Vader before. As long as Shed doesn't interfere again we should be able to regroup and continue the offensive. The rebels here are soon going to find that by removing Vader, they've unleashed something just as deadly. Elsewhere though Captain Pelleon has begun his drive towards Mandolore. The Black Sun have become the new target of Moff Shed since the their fleet has been raiding several imperial worlds and, most notably, after a raid in the Core that destroyed an entire mining facility. The Black Sun need to be punished and with the imperial fleet near Mandolore itself, they will soon understand the cost of war with the Empire.

Please reinforce your space stations. You have so many basic stations with no support, even just a tier 2 station and a golan 1 would make them so much more tanky
As you saw, a single golan or t2 station doesn't mean much in a fight against enemy capital ships - a good rule of thumb is that if the AI is attacking you, it thinks it can win, and if you place a golan it'll just bring more ships. A better bet is to invest in sector response fleets which can beat back any attack on those light t1 stations so that you only lose a couple thousand credits and in return can slap down an entire enemy fleet.
@@thatdollfin3369I do understand and agree with that in principal. However, the amount of points the AI thinks it can attack are currently inflated by the underdeveloped defences across the board. Even if it’s just a few specific key worlds that are gateway worlds that get more defence it’s still necessary. The sector fleets are good but as seen, not enough of them to hold all the sectors needed and the strength required to fend off attacks is still massive. Equally, it’s not very imperial of shed to underplay the defence. From an RP perspective he is playing too much like those rebel scum by not defending enough planets with golans and the like and relying on fleets and fighters… what imperial (except Thrawn) uses fighters!!

In lore, ties have some strong capabilities, but they have huge weaknesses in the fact that they lack both personal shielding and hyperdrives, making them much more fragile and harder to maneuver around. X wings have strong weapons, but their personal shields also make them much more durable in dog fights than ties, so ties will tend to die very easily compared to x wings. the tie defenders, which you can see shack using in some episodes, are a variant in-lore made specifically to fix the weaknesses of the normal tie's, and they tend to be much better in both lore and gameplay

It will be amazing to see them together with a warmer more relaxed relationship. Will put more weight into the future divergence they will have in the civil war.
What is Shed's flagship? We need to know in case he gets put in AoTR(Very wishful thinking.)
Both Bellators have very metal names. We have "Fear's Embrace" and "Death's Honour"
The Tagge Battlecruiser (The largest star destroyer like ship in Vader's fleet
Welp so much for hoth anytime soon
Shack, you really just love throwing Vader under a bus, don't you..... seriously, you just rammed him through a fleet of disablers and didn't have the thought, "Maybe I shouldn't do that." Guess we'll get the Hoth episode next year
might want to look back at your planets as a few with no buildings on
Curious if you found any good z95 models, as I’ve struggled with those.
You really will
do anything including murdering Vader if it means you won’t do the Hoth mission.
I keep wondering if someone on the dev or mod teams really hate ties, or are they established at being as bad as they are in the game?
In lore, ties have some strong capabilities, but they have huge weaknesses in the fact that they lack both personal shielding and hyperdrives, making them much more fragile and harder to maneuver around. X wings have strong weapons, but their personal shields also make them much more durable in dog fights than ties, so ties will tend to die very easily compared to x wings. the tie defenders, which you can see shack using in some episodes, are a variant in-lore made specifically to fix the weaknesses of the normal tie's, and they tend to be much better in both lore and gameplay
Hey shack how do I get my AOTR save to stop crashing when I try to load it
i would live it if vadre is taken to hoth for imperserment meaning you cant do the mission
unless I missed it due to my coughing fit (started choking on my brunch, all good now) I don't recall seeing the message pop up for where Vader is, are you certain you don't still have him? If so, we're still on track for moving towards Hoth.
Yeah he is not in the fleet list after the battle, i believe it takes a full week for the mission to pop up
Tbf, we've 3d printer at my workplace and it's not that bad. But unlike yours our one uses special plastic
SAVE VADER SHACK
Lore wise, one or two to one? The X-Wing is dramatically overhyped for what it has been shown to be capable of.
So shed got demoted to commander for his failures?
How tf did he get pellean in the normal era?
ah yes trying to be clever with a faction that is built around firepower and nothing but firepower
