OMGness, that dress is so fabulous! You look like a million bucks in it as well! What a great video! I am DEFINETLY doing this! Thanks so much for the time, effort and knowledge you gave us!
Love this!! You look so amazing in your new dress!! I love how you have some pre-made styles of the same pattern that you've sewn for us to see in your video! Very Awesome! Leave does make a huge difference!! I especially love the split short sleeves with the lace! Gorgeous!! ♡ Thanks so much for sharing!!
Oh my goodness, that is lovely! I would never have thought you could combine a knit dress with lace. It is just stunning! Thank you for sharing this video. Will definitely have to try this!!
You are awesome! The dress turned out beautiful and you look gorgeous wearing it. You made this look so easy. The tidal is one of my favorite patterns… and I want to add lace! Thank you so much! ❤ Diann
A lace overlay always seems to be my go-to for dress clothes. I can do all my fit work and have wearable muslins that look decent and then make up the final version that fits comfortably but looks frilly. Thanks for sharing your technique for making it happen!!
Great idea! Love that shade of blue on you! I have this pattern already...now I want to get one made. Thanks so much for sharing! Can't wait to see what you make next! 🌹💞💐🌻🥰
This video is exactly what I was looking for! I want to make a dress very similar to this with the lace overlay but wasn't sure how to do it so thank you so much for your clear explanation!
OM Word! Your dress is looks wonderful on you! What a grand idea to add lace. I wish that I had had this pattern & your lace idea for my son's wedding. Excellent idea. Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
That lace was a perfect match for that base fabric! FWD is great for consisten orders. I have some Cotton Lycra that I want to make a dress out of. I have had the Tidal since it came out, but haven't made it. It is on my short list. I think the lace for just the front panel would be a great look, too! So many great options for such a simple pattern, too. Thank you for sharing.
Such great inspiration and instructions! Now I have visions of an all lace version worn over a slip dress! Also, i wonder if it would work to combine the layers of each pattern piece right from the start and treat each piece as one... Or would that cause the outer layer to not lay as nicely... Hmmm....
Beautiful result and a great idea to use the sleeve from the Chorus for a dressier look. The lace overlay is very pretty.
Such a great idea! Makes for a very unique Tidal! 😊 Thanks for watching! ~J

Yes, I agree about FWD😊. That would be beautiful as well, I like that idea.
I also was thinking about the FWD lace for the Tidal front panel! Haven't decided yet which to do...
Love your video with gorgeous choices of fabric to go with this pattern. I’m going to snag that Tidal pattern. ❤😊

Wonderful color and great use of the lace. Thanks for the tip with the clear elastic. Did both fabrics have similar stretch? The dress is perfection.
Thank you 😊 and yes they both have similar stretch.
Love it!
So glad you love it! Thanks for stopping by! ~J

You could do that, it just wouldn't hang the same, as you said. Just depends on what vibe you're going for! 😊 Thanks for watching !~J
Thank you and yes, I agree it may not hang the same 😊
Your dress is just perfect for a summer event. Well done! What fabric did you use for the base?
Ohhh, good question, I will ask her! 😊 ~J
Thank you, the base is a waffle knit that pretty much has the same stretch as the stretch lace 😊
