    Man isn’t it great to just be able to pick up the camera and go! Great battery life, built in ND’s, XLR, etc. c200 has aged incredibly well, still holds it’s own 3 years later. Great video, footage looks fire!

      Thank you! Man I just can’t believe you’re writing me and looking at my stuff lol. I love the c200. I still don’t know if I want to buy that or the c70. But I can’t do this bmpcc. Lol. I should have known to stick with canon. I started with a t2i.

    I’m glad to hear you were able to streamline the canon raw lite workflow. My friend owns and loves the camera and shoots raw for music videos. For short form stuff its easier to manage but for long form stuff like docs, its better to shoot with just 8-bit (that’s if your satisfied withe results) otherwise the media and storage cost will rack up pretty quickly.
    Good luck on your continued search 👍🏾

    • @BrittneyJanae
      @BrittneyJanae  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yea when. I did shoot RAW it took up space really quickly so if I purchased the cane I would have to be okay with shooting most of my content 8bit. Which is still beautiful footage but longevity wise with all the cameras out there providing more idk if it’s worth getting this one

    I used a shoulder rig for the first time a few weeks ago and everything felt so wobbly for me! Maybe more practice will remedy that. Your cover video footage is so dreamy! Can't wait to see the final project!

    • @BrittneyJanae
      @BrittneyJanae  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!!! For the shoulder rig you have to make sure you counterbalance with your body. So your arms should be close to your body to have more stability. And the cover video is up! Yay! th-cam.com/video/XBump6kAE2c/w-d-xo.html

    Great video! One thing you might want to consider is upscaling to 4k (even if you've shot in 1080). TH-cam compression really lowers the quality! How do you find the Buffnerds filter compares to the Promist?

    Yo, great work! You're doing the right thing. Definitely take your time on the camera selection process. I found a middle ground in the pocket 6k ( Reasonable price with the features that fit the type of work I'm doing). Also definitely mess with Resolve . It takes a while to get into but it can unlock a lot regardless of which camera you're using.

    Hi Brittaney. I love the footage you put out of your c200. Question: Do you still use it? I am about to get a cine-like camera and torn between blackmagic 6k pro and the c200. Can you share your experience if you have used both?

    • @BrittneyJanae
      @BrittneyJanae  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I do still use it but not as much. I think it depends on what you need and what type of things you’re looking to shoot! I only use the c200 now mainly for podcast. It’s great that it has everything already for you as far as inputs and outputs so it’s so easy to use. The blackmagic has a little more features since it’s new. Both of the sensors are beautiful. You can probably push the bmpcc a little more in post. If you shoot’s raw in the c200 the files are huge so you’re working with 8bit files most of the time which wasn’t an issue to me but it is to some since most cameras now are at 10bit. But I love the c200. But I think for like mini films and things like that I would use the bmpcc.

    • @pythno1456
      @pythno1456 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the insight@@BrittneyJanae . I plan to shoot raw, 8bit 4:2:0 is not really what I want or need. I know the Blackmagic has ProRes and all. The problem is that I don't really "trust" the blackmagic. The built quality seems so flimsy and the Pro's ND filters seem to shift the colors to magenta. I will be a lot on the road and probably in weather conditions that aren't as pleasant as California (never been there but I was told it is pretty much 20-25 degrees celsius all year around which seems like heaven to me). It will be raining, snowing and hot and humid. Lastly I wanted to ask where I can watch your documentary about hair. I saw a video you made about it on your channel. I was not aware of the issue and would like to see it. Ugh, this was long. Sorry! Take care :)

      It’s true when I color proxies it always comes out lighter and green. Coloring proxies isn’t the greatest workflow at all which is why a lot of people color as the last step because once the edit is finalized you unlink and delete proxies and then color for complete accuracy

    1:30 handheld? I know your arms were sore in the morning. My first day with the C100 I spent 4 hours shooting test footage hand held. Let me tell you. I _learned_ that day. 😂 In my experience shoulder rigs aren’t comfy though. They can cause damage in the long run. You may want to look into an easy rig or an ergo rig.
