    This is the most informative and fascinating interview that anyone has ever done with H. G., IMO. The genetic link is dead-on accurate based upon my subjective observations, as is the positive correlation between heart disease, panic attacks and narcissism. This interview tied up a lot of loose ends for me. I hope to hear more about the connection between narcissism and physical maladies.

      I can relate to that, but the reason I think it relates too is thyroid problems. Having spoke to people who have thyroid problems, they or their immediate family have had children with neurological disorders of autism and adhd. Also there is heart problems, panic attacks, and depression, associated with thyroid.

      Its kook gimmick pathological liar rubbish to the extent that it should insult your intelligence & remind you of every time a pathetic creep such as HGT played such mind games. Belief in NPD has become a cult & thats attracted its actors. Life if much more nuanced that weak minded resorts to call everything NPD.
      Apart from that not one NPD was diagnosed globally. Worse - its was thrown out of the DSM for being such an idiotic and immature attempt at personality disorder listing.
      Why ? - because it tried to describe every other p[personality disorder in ONE ! I.E was a childish mixture of them all that goy under the radar for a while / caused nothing but trouble & massive chaos in the profession, sensible and properly educated persons only wondering how the hell such social work trained post structuralised philistines got it listed.

      “You can’t inject emotional empathy into one who does not have it.”
      That sentence is on the bottom line empathic as a line of communication since theoretically no real narcissist would say it.
      It gives information that helps and assists another human. Don't believe his secondary tripe that seeks to quash that form of analysis. All that shows is he knows how to defend his gimmick, while any real narc would not be in the position that requires such a secondary explanation just in order top act as extra protection for lies told originally.

    Great interview!
    Just a thought regarding the L.S.D. commented on towards the end of the interview and trying to "cure" the narcissist or to get them to appreciate "feeling". Years ago, for less than a year, I worked in an alternative clinical setting. My appetite for study and research into helping people through alternative methods started way before however, having had lots of babies. This kept me trying to assist them with their needs rather than run them to the doctor for every bump, bruise and sniffle. Of course we utilized doctors for things such as eye exams, etc., as well as other things that would arise for which a doctor was needed. In trying to help my husband, who I believed at the time to be bi-polar, he began using kelp. In my studies the mineral Lithium was a deficiency in persons suffering from this along with the subsequent "mental disconnect" or "triggered rages" or simply "bad mood or temper". I believe Prozac is still used for this. Kelp was the only source I was able to find that was natural and contained Lithium in high amounts. He has taken kelp for 15 years or more. It hasn't cured what I now know is narcissim (mid range) but it helps keep him on a more even keel both physically and mentally. He keeps himself supplied with the kelp knowing that he is a bear without it, especially in his work environment. Also, a side note regarding vitamin C. We discovered recently high doses of vitamin C completely upset the apple cart, kelp aside, and his temper was on a hair trigger. Of course there may be many variables, such as which type of narcissist we are dealing with, blood type, homeopathic constitutional type etc. This is just food for thought from my own perspective and experience for what its worth.
    Thanks again for the great interview. I'm a real fan of HG and his work.
    P.S. I find it interesting that an episode of Star Trek Voyager somewhat deals with this topic. I don't recall the exact episode but its later in the series as Seven of Nine is instrumental in "curing" the individual.

    I think Narcs might well be Empaths to begin with but wounding helps create Narcs. The numbing becomes sustained and so deeply ingrained, its internally as if there is no empathy. ( I have heard HG say there is none at all and this may well be the case)
    I could be wrong of course

    • @doctorchristineb
      @doctorchristineb  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I’ve actually asked HG a similar question in one of my later interviews because I too believe that perhaps the person they really are deep down is that person you first encounter and then they build up a defense due to the inability to handle any wounding, but everyone, including HG say that’s not the case, but I have also pondered that…..

    • @maryhill6316
      @maryhill6316 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is my belief also. The wounded child is in the void at their center.
      The very young childhood trauma over time is so overwhelming that the child builds an impenetrable wall around their soul, spirit, mind to protect themselves through ongoing abuse.
      I have three adopted daughters, all victims of csa, neglect and chaotic environment. They were removed from parental custody at ages 3,5 and 5. They had intensive psychological treatment and at that age, had an alphabet soup of varying diagnoses. Now they are age 39, 41 and one at age 41, within the last year, self destructed with alsoholism and illicit drug overdose leading to her death. From age 7 to 18, we, as parents were able to keep her on the straight and narrow. As an adult, she made hellish choices. Choices that affected ALL of us , including her twin, younger sister and her two children, who loved her.
      All that to say that although I have not run them through HG’s narc detector, I believe all three daughters have NPD. In addition, I believe our daughter who died was also psychopathic.
      I believe her daughter is also a NPD/Psychopath. Her other child, a son, had an intervener. He seems to me to be an Empath in spite of 2 Narcissist parents.

He then mentioned difficulties getting his desired jobs as some recruiters saw right through his facade. He even went to a psychiatrist and took prescribed drugs. According to him, the drugs only made him feel more lethargic and unambitious while still not allowing him to feel empathy. I assume, he told all of this to manipulate through pity play or maybe because he was just drunk. Either way, I suggest everybody to be wary of these people. They could betray anyone at anytime. The unaware ones do it more often however.

      He has had a lot of time with what he calls “good doctors”.
      His Narcissistic Psychopathic condition has been thoroughly vetted.
      He is completely unable to give up control of whatever is happening.
      There will come a time when he will have to though. He is still young, under 50 he says. I’m thinking of illness or injury, a car crash maybe. Perhaps needing anesthesia as examples.
      I am probably an Empath who sometimes see my lesser but present narcissistic tendencies come out. I am a control freak working on laying that part of me down.
      I’ve had to have quite a lot of surgery including 5 times in the last year.
