Looks awesome man. Your channel inspired me to make my own timelapse of plants. They are not as smooth as your videos but I'm satisfied with how they are turning out. Your pepper plant videos and others that are from seed to fruit are very satisfying.
I bought a dragon fruit cactus about 10cm in size with various shoots. In three months, its girth has tripled, and the shoots are seven times their original length. It's crazy how quickly these things grow. They’re in nature crawling up beside other trees up to 30 feet high!!
Such patience. 😊 Dragon fruit seeds are sold in my country under the nickname "lucky grass". Some plant sellers sow these seeds as a ground covering for a bigger house plant or in shaped soil pouches. The chubby succulent sprouts look cute so they're sold as decorative plants. Since the sprouts take quite long to show it's identity, they look cute for really long. Most new plant owners or ones seeking novelty house plants won't know what these sprouts are till at least half a year later. My mom bought a small ZZ plant with dragon fruit sprouts under it's foliage.
Really awesome mate, i have a lot of seedlings growing for rootstocks, but this video made me want to make a few into specimen plants aswell, looking amazing 🌵🌵💚💚👍👍
Amazing buddy. According to my opinion we should let Nature decide its way, and that's always in favor of all the other creatures include us (so called human).
You did a great job that no one else could do. I can easily see and enjoy it, but your efforts are amazing. I highly appreciate your persistence and effort. You are not an ordinary person. Are you from outer space? Thank you.
I have a question. If the dragon fruit plant keeps wanting to fall over without outside support how does it grow in the wild? Is it like a vine that needs a tree or rock face for support?
That is correct. The fruit grows on the part of the cactus hanging down off something, but from the high part near the light. His grow lights are not strong enough to form fruit, at least not yet. In a bigger pot with even more grow lights, you might get small fruit in a few more years when the vine reaches maturity.
For some reason I kept expecting this video to turn into hentai any second. Especially at the end. But that’s probably just my brain in a gutter talking 😅 😂😂😂
Hey Boxlapse! Love your videos. Just wanted to bring to your attention that there is a small typo in your thumbnail. There is a comma in between 1 and 5 instead of a period. Just thought you might want to know. Thank you for the amazing content! 🌱🌿
The cactus just keeps wanting to go to the light on the left side of the screen. "Why do you chain me, human?!" 🤣
Crazzy huuman
This was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I don’t care how long I have to wait, as long as its within 5 years I’m happy. Year long timelapses are the best
@@kepler180 love this
This little guy just grew and grew and grew!
I love plants. I love everything that grows!
Thank you for yet another wonderful video.
There should be academy awards for videos like this!!!
Are you listening, TH-cam???
That was incredible to watch. I can't get over the incredible amount of time and attention it must take to make these videos.

That was incredible!! I lived watching the new growth wave around day 428, what an amazing thing to capture!
If you keep this going, an update at 1,000 days would be incredible.
It's astounding how much patience and hard work you put in this incredible video. Mad respect. ❤

I became passionate about time-lapse by watching your videos, and I decided to start as well by creating this channel!
Never knew dragon fruit was so spindly ☺️. This was great to watch ♥️
It's not normally, this one wasn't getting enough energy and was desperate to reach more light.
It's called etiolation. It happens when a plant doesn't get enough light.
Missed out on the chance of seeing it flowers then fruits. its super pretty!
I respect your dedication, Thank you for the great video
Salute To your Hard Work 🙏
Beautiful
Ohh amazing! I have a tiny one right now, excited to see where it‘ll go!
Efforts 🔥
Definitely a different way to start the week! 😲 Kiitos!

A beautiful lesson in patience
What a pity! It didn’t bloom and bear fruit, it was just a cactus!!
they take 7 to 10 years to fruit
I would love to see your set up one day.
Extraordinary!
Hylocereus megalanthus (Palora) 🌵

Wow, wasn't expecting that. Does it usually grow along the ground? It looked almost like it was putting out roots at certain points.
You did a great job that no one else could do.

Did you guys also think the cactus was growing support "legs" before expecting to fall to the ground? So amazing!!! ❤
Those are air roots. In nature dragon fruit climb trees. They use the air roots to "grip" the tree. :)
Lovely!!!!!!
it broke my heart when you cut it but I guess it had to be done 🥹
Thank you I love your videos ❤
Thank you very much for your work!!!
The music!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous 👍😎✊
Wow! Can You make ash or larch tree timelapse? Also, can You make updates of Plants from Old timelapses?
OMG awesome video! Do more year long timelapses. do a timelapse of Dennstaedia punctilobula. do some outdoor timelapses too!
I was thinking about growing dragon fruit from the seed, now i've changed my mind.😅1.5 year with no fruit.
Very nice video. Again. But...how long You have to wait to get a dragon fruit from this cactus?
From seed about 5 years. From cutting about 1 to 2 years.
Amazing video, I love it. What type of gear do you use? Please advise on a camera and lens
Amazing. Thank you.
Very Nice 🌵
Amazing ❤️
Omg wonderfullll ❤❤❤
Amazeballs!
I've planted mine something like six months ago and while they're doing well, they're still very small and thin... any reccommendations?
Mine’s As well I think we need to buy special soil…

Google what a dragonfruit cactus looks like in the wild and you'll have your answer.
@@sylviagarnetstone563 That’s pretty cool. Thank you for letting me know :)

Bravooo ... but where is mango update?
It’s a grower not a shower.
素晴らしい👍でも出来れば花が咲くところまで見たかった!
Legend says it's still chasing the light
Now know the reason why its called 'dragon fruit'.
No .. why ?
@@Snauzers cause it grows long and scaled like a dragon 🤦🏻
@@Snauzers because to grow one you need to kill a dragon and use its unfertilized egg to grow this
Patience
Makes in perspective how hard it is to grow food.. so much time for so little and you eat and it goes away so fast
Each one of the seeds can grow into thousands of dragon fruit
did not realise the were so long and thin, i always thought it was the girth that counts.
I was waiting for the dragon fruit to grow 😢
Incrível ❤
I’m just wondering how these grow in the wild if it is so skinny and tall
Life finds a way.
the light used in the video is not nearly strong enough. google what they actually look like when given the right environment
@@Squilly101 I have one under a 200w light and the bottom is perfect, but the top isn't reached by the light so it's skinny af
They attach to a tree or bush or anything close by if none then on the ground like how watermelon grows
Yea it's the light
I grew one of these, it got to over 8ft in length before i cut it down and got rid of it 😅
The cactus is biutiful❤
will you keep updating us about the mangoes you've grown before :(
The cactus: "NO! ONLY LEFT!"
girl you are growing too tall you are going to fall over

Boxlapse can you do Mexican mint I wanna see it
i never knew what the plant looks like before.
At the end, it almost seems like it was dancing
❤
Have to wonder how it grows in the wild if it can't keep itself up.
👌👌👌
The way this grows looks heinous
What soil is this guy using? all of the plants do so well. Me and I think a lot of people want to know❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅
👏👏👏👏👏
યાર જલ્દી સે વિડિયો બનાવો એટલે દેર કે લગ રહી હૈ😅

At this point you have about year left till first fruit
Are you growing the Palora variety?

525 din ho gaye sabar ka fal mitha hota hai yaha to fal he nahi mila😂😂
Its like a weed with spikes
Dragon? More like Drunken worm.

This thing really doesn’t know what straight is. How could it ever survive without help?
Why not just rotate the pot every few weeks. Thats what i do with my house plants
Maybe baobab tree from seeds now
how long till first fruits? what would happened if you didnt help it keep straight for going up?
