throughout the entire series she was not entirely able to visibly control her ability, she lost consciousness as you say, but at the end of the second season she appears from the portal exactly as in the film she does not lose consciousness and can hold the portal without much difficulty.
I love how her power isn’t just the portals, which are super cool on their own, but she also has to possess enhanced spatial awareness and reflexes in order to use the portals as not just a passive means of transportation but actually a defensive weapon. I wish they would do more with her.
Knowing she's the only one in the defense team standing, she has the means for escape but shw can't because she's all alone now. She has to make a last stand, even if she's the only one left.
i want to say she is powerful but also very smart. i see people saying she can just cut the sentinels with her portals and that she should have trained to close her portals more fast but, the reason why she got killed in the first fight is because she was saving her teammate so she forgot about the portal. In the final fight she used her powers defensivly which was smart. if she used her powers more offensivly then she would die probaly before sunspot. Because the sentinels kept attacking her and she choose to defend so that they would get a lot of time. Cutting the sentinels to half is nothing since there are more than 1000.
i think she was avoiding using her powers on them so they couldn't copy her. they knew they couldn't win, they were just trying to buy time for the time travel. if they had her powers, they could jump straight through the vault and stop her too soon.

I don’t think she does when she joined the x-men, but in the gifted series, she could only create portals from anywhere in the world to a place that she had seen before like for example: you’re in a building, and you watch into another building, she can create a portal there. Additionally, her eyes are green for a reason, she can see energy which allows her to see where she teleports. She could also time travel, because at the end of the gifted series, she died, but then she was brought back to life from the future and she teleported to when she died. So, in conclusion, she does not have any limits.

I don't think this movie producers wanted her to be THAT OP because of the plot which demands she and those other mutants die in the hand of sentinels except for Magneto, Prof X, Logan, and Kitty I think Rogue was also alive.
After however many years this released, I am only today realizing they establishing in the open scene that Blink's portals will close and sever the sentinels, when she got killed with the arm. But she never uses that again. Bruh she could have been one shotting sentinels with portals.
