I lost track of how many times you said "all right"! LOL I noticed that you didn't mask off anything before you painted.... like the wheels. :)

Hello Chaz it's me again Joe S, Nothing like coming home from a long day of work and seeing an update on the Camaro. As a fellow Camaro enthusiast and owner I enjoy watching your updates. The painting of the chest got me a little excited as I look forward to you painting the car......remember metallic purple and gloss black top would look good.

OMG! You have a Gerstner too? Please, whatever you do, don't paint it! Restore to as new specs Please please please! Gerstner boxes are keepsakes and an absolute thing of beauty worthy of the effort and money it takes to restore them to as new condition. Until you are ready and skilled enough to do exactly that, just use it as it is.

Dont do that again. I apologize in advance for the comment that follows, but here goes. You destroyed a decent looking Kennedy box that did not need to be repainted.
I get needing to learn and hone your skills but next time, for pity sake get some old turd that has been beat to shit to learn on. Boxes like that are great to sharpen your skills on as opposed to choosing a box that already looks decent.
You are a young guy, you will learn in time and after enough restoration projects.

Not a fan of the Kennedy color but I totally understand your point

@chazwould Yup, I get that. Funny thing is, I don't know that I have ever been particularly in love with Kennedy brown wrinkle paint myself. That said, a Kennedy box (great quality box and brand) is just not a Kennedy without brown or red wrinkle paint. I just decided to get used to it! LOL 😂

I re did the same exact box. It is one of my favorites. I used Rust Oleum Universal Hammered Black. It does not require primer. I also made my own handles for the drawers using 1/2" round aluminum round bar. Here is the link to mine.
