Somehow I had missed this video. I love scrappy quilts. I appreciate all your tutorials. Thanks again.
Glad you like them! Thank you!
I just discovered your channel. You really explain everything really well. I love it.
Thank you! That’s sweet of you to say. I appreciate it!😊
I like the way the blocks are put together and the sashing.
Love this. What more can I say. I’ll be starting this ToDaY! Thank you so much.
It’s fun and using scraps is my favorite!!
Delightful Penny ❤
Finally someone else who doesn't like ironing! I consider it a necessary evil😅
I do it when I have to. 🤣
Love it, Penny!
Thanks!!
Beautiful. I lost part one. Where can I find it. Love your tutorials.
I’m connecting them on you tube now.
Didn’t they used to use paper for the square they pieced the scraps on? You explain how to do these so even I understand.
Thank you. And yes, you can use newspaper or telephone book pages instead of the fabric. I just chose to use the cuts I found in my scrap bin instead.
Would it be possible to put the batting and backing on as you sew the scraps on and trim them all ? Thanks.
Sure. It could be a quilt as you go!
Love your videos. What sewing machine do you use? Name and model please
I use several different ones but I believe this video was the baby lock joy.

Since I am so new to quilting now I know to not throw away my scraps. Do the scraps all have to be quilting cottons?
Not necessarily. In old days they used polyester and whatever else they had. They all work. 100% cotton is the best though.
Thank you!
Where did you find the scissors you are using?
We sell them here in the shop. Sewcharmingquiltshop.com
I see you don't backstitch is that not needed..
I’ve never had a problem with it. Doesn’t mean I won’t one day but I’ve been sewing for many years and it’s worked thus far. Some things I do though.
Typically im quilting, backstitch is not strictly neccesary. Each seam is usually crossed over by another seam and that holds them all together. Some quilters do backstitch out of preference, or out of habit if they learned garment sewing 1st.
