Japanese culture anime games manga etc has a lot of stories centered around high schoolers or those in their 20's . Instead of trying to explain to haters if they cant understand a game vs real life not to mention the rated M 17 + then let em think whatever they want to. I didnt even discover persona series until i was in my 20's didn't feel weird or creepy at all to play em.
Not to mention, the characters used in these youthful tropes often look in their 20s as well. I think those that fixate on it too hard/bring hostility are sorta outing themselves for questionable intentions, rather than those who just enjoy it for what it is.
What's important to recognize also is that in Japan all Persona games until Persona 5 have been CERO B (Ages 12+), and even Persona 5 (And P4G) is CERO C (15+)....so at least in Japan I think the target audience is people of a similar age to the protagonists.
Anyone who equates fictional characters to real people they are the weirdos who need to touch grass and talk to real people. It's a game.
Agreed. I will probably be in my 30s by the time P6 drops, but I will play it regardless of if it's set in Highschool or a retirement home, lol.
