- In this video I tried out Resortpass, an app that lets you buy day passes to hotel pools. I've been curious about this app for a while so I decided to try it out for myself at 4 different pools in LA, and see if it is worth it!

I see this being a great service in big cities. I could totally see myself looking this up when I visit NYC to see my friend in summer. It gets hot as hell in Manhattan and having the convenience of a pool without having to take the train out to a beach would be awesome.

Just because they dont give you cash, doesn´t mean it isnt sponsered.
TH-cam´s definition of sponsorships "Sponsorships are pieces of content that have been financed in whole or in part by a third party.". Since they have covered all your expenses related to the video by giving you passes, it is a sponsorship.
True. It is not a paid endorsement, but it is still a sponsered video if they paid for her tickets. But there is a lot of youtubers who dont know the difference between sponsorships, paid product placements and paid endorsements, even though they really should.

you can stay at the roosevelt for 200 a night FYI. we did that last month (3 of us) and hung out at the pool all day! sounds like resort pass would've been 300 in this case. thanks for reviewing!

LOVE this video!!!!! Didn’t know this app existed.
We have dedicated outdoors swimming areas where I live. It's about 7$ per visit and they also sell food for about 10$ per portion. Not fine dining though but just fries and meat balls etc.

The last pool you went to seemed super nice but it doesn’t seem like it was worth the price. Given that you’re in LA, some of these prices aren’t that crazy. Great video!
Reminds me of the time I went to Vegas and paid for access to the Golden Nugget Hotel pool which has a seperate shark tank in the middle of the pool which was super cool. It's only $35 a day.

This is cool. I haven't been swimming in forever and found out a hotel near me has a reasonably priced pass. I love it.
$65 to swim at the Beverly Hilton seems like a decent deal actually, I would rather pay that to go there than $35 for a much smaller and much less prestigious place. Also Shelby in that red bikini 🔥

Some these prices are as much as I paid for a Las Vegas hotel room during the pandemic and it had access to pool.

That's a pretty neat service app! You can save a bit of money by staying at a smaller hotel and still have a fun day at the luxury pool for a fair price! Not bad at all.
Love the video! Would be interested in you trying some like sleeping, working out, etc apps - I can't think of them off the top of my head right now, noom is one I believe.
Just ones that help with sleep, relaxing, eating, I think anyone them could he interested! I always wanna try one but don't hear about them enough to bite the bullet and pay for one.

This is so cool! I wonder if they have it in NYC 🤔. Quick question, regarding pool temperatures why are warmer pools more attractive than cooler pools? Id imagine that the temperature in california would be warm/hot so wouldnt you want a cooler temp pool to cool off in? Not freezing but u know what i mean. 95 degree pool sounds too hot. Just curious lol is it a Cali thing? This is such a cool program tho thanks for going to these different pools and reviewing them. If i ever find myself visiting cali this would be such a fun thing to do, pool hop around LA. Those memory foam loungers sound like a dream!!! 😍

I’m just learning about ResortPass in 2024 🤦🏾♀️. But the apartments I lived in had pools so I wasn’t worried about it. We recently moved to an apartment that has so pool so I had to download the app. I also downloaded “Swimply” which I’d definitely want to use with friends. Thanks for sharing your experience. I might a video for Long Beach pools once I actually use the app.
i live in South Florida and instead of buying day passes my family goes to have lunch. For instance, the Mariott in Fort Lauderdale has a nice little outdoor restaurant with like tacos and stuff. We go at 10am get pool chairs, have lunch around noon, stay until the free cookies and lemonade and then leave. I am 34 and we have been doing that nearly 25 years.
Guessing that the Waldorf Astoria, adjacent to the Beverly Hilton, isn’t part of Resort Pass. Ditto, the BH Hotel?
For the cost of entry to any one of those Resort pools you can instead go to one of many water parks for the same amount but get so much more.

Dang I wish this was more popular in Seattle. I just checked and there’s not a lot to choose from.
In the Dominican Republic you can pay $50.00- in some resorts for an all day pass, you get to the pool, drinks, and meals.
Its a good concept, but it does seem a tad expensive... like you pay $50 to get in and then you pay for hotel markup food and drinks, def not a cheap day out. a beach day would be much cheaper, but like LA I guess
