How to win in your lane as a support: pray that your lane partner is good
The amount of times I’ve lost T2 goal bc my lane partner did not know how to properly utilize having a hoopa (and other support but mostly hoopa) as a lane partner is crazy. And some just straight up abandon me after dying once or twice bc they kept playing diving recklessly.
My favorite fill Pokemon is Hoopa and clefable at the moment; hoopa having carried me to Masters this season and Clefable just being extremely fun to play. I play slowbro when a defender is needed.
I agree. Matchmaking has been a joke lately. I was around 1800 the last 4 seasons and now I'm stuck in ultra thanks to clowns who plays leftover gardi and things lika that
I love to play support but unfortunately i can't steal rayquaza with a lucky shadow ball every game, so i pretty much regret buying supporters. Too much stress.
@@Louis-wf4fl I went on a 14 loss streak at the start of the season because all of my teammates (ultra rank) insta-locked attackers and ran leftovers + exp share 💀 I went from Ultra 3 down to Veteran 4, never dropped down a rank so quickly in all of the seasons I’ve played and I’ve been playing since season 1. @@flowy3422 not being able to secure objectives is why I’ve been playing a lot of clefable recently. Unite move recharges really fast and I usually get either hyperbeam or hydro pump which makes it super easy to secure ray (and regi’s). Clefable low key a menace too?? I’ve stolen so many objectives with basic attack LOL

This is a fine video Jake but if you really want people to start understanding how to lane properly you should do it in like a film breakdown style I think. Where you can talk about why you made the choices you made, what you saw and felt that led to some of the choices you made.
You do a little of this while playing and it is impressive to play and talk through your reasoning at the same time, but I feel like so much more understanding could happen if you communicated more to us by focusing on explaining it!
People wont watch a film about how to lane in a mobile game.

Something people don't do is apply pressure when playing a defender. Goodra can space enemies away or let them get in his melee range, while having Gooey and Bubble for lane sustain and tankiness. Bubble shield has saved my butt so much, people forget how much value that thing has lmao
I've surprised so many opponents with the burst damage. No one expects that damage!

I agree. I never want to play Eldy cuz I’m often left no choice, then I proceed to slay and win. But still feel unhappy I was forced to play Eldy

Try running Eldegoss with max atk speed and exp share.
Its not strictly related to how to win a lane per say, but since lanes are where scoring happens, I thought I'd add a tip that I've learnt through playing and that I think some people may not realise:
The score animations of different Pokemon actually give them different durations for their scoring, and that can sometimes ruin an overcap if you don't know what your Pokemon's score time is:
For example, if a goal's got 31 points on it and a Lucario has 40 points on, and your ally gardevoir has 30 points on. Even if you both start your score on the pad at the exact same time, the actual time for the points to enter the goal is so much longer with gardevoir's drawn out score animation, its likely that the lucario will have already broken the goal before garde's points are actually counted as being entered.
This is something that has cost me overcaps in the past, and I'm not sure how many people are aware of this so just thought I'd put it out there.

How to win your lane: Have mewtwo spend 12 hours in it
Usually I use Support and defender, and I always choose Eldegoss or Trev as defender, sometimes Hoopa, but I think in my rank people don't use teleport lol
i'm starting to main defenders, love how Crustle plays and i usually play solo or a team where they are carries, so i tend to focus on defenders lol, love the videos! watching them has definitely helped my game!

Got stuck at vet with my hoopa main but went on a win streak and got to master after i changed to slowbro lmao. I think i only lost like 6 games at ultra lol
Support: Elde or Blissey
Defender: Trev, Mamo, or Blastoise
My go-to fills for Supporter and Defender: Umbreon, Slowbro, Eldegoss
I’ve been a Mamoswine main since he dropped - but I’ve taken a shine to Umbreon even post nerf - since it was a fave in the regular Pokémon games. My top 5 played Pokémon are all defenders and supports
I'm the kind of player that mains defenders and supports and when I do it's usually slowbro but there was blastoise for a season
I'm a Defender main and my go too is Trevenant, but I mostly go with what the comp is lacking. If we have to little SpA i'll go a SpA Defender, if we need a Attack Defender I'll go one
With Supports My go too is Hoopa then in descending priority its Eldegoss, Clefable, and Blissley
I enjoy supports and defenders regardless of having to fill, but when I do fill I pick Hoopa/Elde/Clefable for support (depending on ally comp) and Slowbro/Umbreon for defense
For Support I go Hoopa. Was super into the Trick/Shadow Ball build for a while but I'm starting to get the hang of Hyperspace Hole/Phantom Force. For Defender my go-to is Mamo, tried making Trevenant work but I found myself dying way too much. But for Mamo I typically go Icicle Crash and High Horsepower, not too big a fan of Ice Fang/Earthquake
I'm a Goodra main since day 1 so that's my go to. Can't really play supporter that well unfortunately so I leave that up to the better support mains
Personally, between support and defender, I prefer defender because I'm more comfortable covering my squad on the frontline. Support is underrated for me, though.
Blastoise will always be my main defender. I'd play support if I were any good at it but the only supporters I'm okay with are Eldegoss, Sableye and a little bit of Comfey. I'm hoping Mimikyu will be a supporter.

I play a lot of support and defender, but my top is Eldegoss. I also love Snorlax, Slowbro, and Hoopa, and Blissey.
Eldegoss is my go to. I’ve climbed to masterball several times primarily playing eldegoss
Elde has carried me to master 2 of my 3 times, Hoopa was the other time

@@Samuel-tf8jv I usually go 6 green 7 black (I have limited emblem slots so 7 red is inefficient for space) with exp/muscle/rapid, x-attack or speed, always pollen puff, and cotton spore or guard depends on team comp (does my team really benefit from shields? Do I need more independence? Does our team need more CC?)

If i have to fill a defender, my go to right now is lapras, is super tanky and if stacked up it does crazy damage.
I’m glad videos on how to play positions properly are coming out the damage videos are nice but people need to learn all the basics or the community won’t get better!
hoopa is just so much busted with good teamates. Me and my one friend played over 20 matches back on back and we won all of them thanks to hoopa. If you use it properly it can make whole game easier than ever..❤
Whenever I need to fill a spot, I usually pick either Slowbro or Blissey, I think they're pretty useful and I see improvement in the teams whenever I go support
I wanna try out Mr. Mime, Greedent, and Comfey soon when I could afford them
Honestly as a I'm going to say it veteran of playing unite I can back up everything and I can say a couple of my own tips because Pokemon unite we help the little guys but if you're still wondering what you need to do if your support do not worry about leveling up worry about supporting your team as best as you can if you're a speedster just take off if you know you can pop off I advise it to pop off then return back to grinding levels if your a defender just with the supporter do not focus on attacking focus on keeping the enemy team away from the goal if you are a attacker push just go absolutely wild and if you're an all-rounder you can mostly play a lot of rolls depending on the situation you might need to play a defender or maybe an attacker sometimes a speedster but where we should you or do you need to be a supporter and that's what you should be doing oh and also I will train you should go they already tell you which ones you should go support us should follow and all round up or an attacker and same with defender you should also follow an attacker or an all-rounder soccer's gold literally anywhere you want depending on which you have to choose what area is you should go

My go to for each role is: decidueye for attacker(my main), zeraora for speedster, dragonite for all-rounder, but I just unlocked mewtwo and its pretty fun, trevenant for defender, and I never feel like im doing something with supporters, so I don't really go for supporter
my fav fill defender is definitely like snorlax and or like goodra because you can stall for so long on goal with both even if you partner is bad

So what happened to Mewtwo happened to me in a recent Sizor match where I was brawling a Comfey boosted Goodra on It's goal with simply Sizor, and we brawler each other for almost 2 whole minutes before their Zeraora appears and KOs me 10-20 seconds later after it shows up.
I usually play goodra or blastoise if a defender is needed but never really a supporter since I haven't figured out which supporter goes best for me yet
Go to fills atm are Hoopa/Elde and Slow/Mamo
Cleffable has heen my go to supporter when i need to fill but love going Raid Boss Goss build too. For tank im so happy i can fill with mamo
I'm a zeraora main and started playing 7 days ago, so I only have 6 unite licenses, but I usually just play offensive
It seems I usually have to run support/defense bc so many people want to carry. But the funniest thing is most of the time I will do almost as much dmg or more than the top dps. This has happened to me with almost every defender almost every time and a few of the supporters, Eldegoss, Hoopa, Slowbro
I never pick goodra to carry, I just end up carrying 😂😂😂😂

I have to fill quite often which I find frankly upsetting in Master rank. But my teammates pick three attackers and me and my duo have to make up for it. I usually go for hoopa or goodra. Trevenant and eldegoss too. I'm thinking of just maining hoopa with how often i have to play support
I struggle so badly with Sylveon now. My most played pokemon and high wr in the past but now I just can't win with it. I think it's somewhere around 33% this season the handful of times I've played it, and last season was 40s.
Same, Sylveon's one of my mains and most used pokemon but dropped to negative WR esp after the MewTwo release - just keep getting future sighted

Also, Question of the day, I'm literally a support/defender main at this point. I love Eldegod and Hoopa and I'm working on my Blissey game. Defenders is the ender of all meta pokemon Slowbro and Lapras for a bit of fun

Favourite fill has to be either Hoopa or Slowbro. You can't falter how consistent Slowbro has been in competitive, and Hoop's just so fun to play as (and back to its best).

Having dedicated servers for your country or at least ones relatively closeby is a luxury I have not had since release :(
I always go talonflame when speedster needed since it's a really good addition to the team. I get a lot of teams without all rounders now so I use Machamp quite a bit.
Slowbro is the goat of team play and solo que 65%wr constantly for a good 3 seasons now best pokemon in the game

I’m actually curious to know why people play Phantom Force over Shadow ball? I stopped playing Hoopa after the new map came out so I’m rusty. Also my go-to fills are Trevenant for defender (the only one I like) and Hoopa for support (used to be Sableye but I don’t like him after the nerfs nearly as much).
As i hoopa main, maybe bcoz to stun enemies? But shadow ball also stuns em too. Phantom force is also great for breaking ankles lmao

I always try to have 2 or more characters of each role to try and fit a certain role within the party. I try to go more supporter being a proud eldeGOD main, but I am recently trying to diversify my gameplay with hoopa, umbreon, slowbro and in the future goodra

I rode Mewtwo to masters and the moment I got there I started playing strictly supporters and defenders. I can carry but I’d much rather support because it’s more fun and takes more thought to fulfill your role properly.
Umbreon Is has been my go to defender since release, yes, it Is a very simple character but it fills the role of a tank, defender and support pretty well wich Is balanced by my team never picking anything but speedsters and attackers
The 'Mota' Mota means fat. It's snorlax as a support it'd be hoopa or blissey
My fill Pokémon are sableye and umbreon I actually consider myself a sableye 1 trick I’m super good at using it’s cc and securing kills for my team

How to win lane: have a jungle mewtwo that stays in your lane and an enemy team that doesn’t back up
Blissey, then umbreon released. I will pick it if there’s already two defenders.
Never fill Supporter in SoloQ, since that assumes you have competent teammates.
Pretty much always fill Defender when your team isn't bulky enough and you want to win, but it depends on the rest of the comp. Trev is the best Defender that can turn into a carry and my go-to, but Mamo is great when put into a CC lane, and a damage Defender like Blastoise or Lapras is good when the rest of your comp lacks both hurt and survivability.

I prefer defender cause with it I'm less depended on randombs but I also like playing with supporter

I think it depends on who you are playing against, I think scald bro does more damage and I like it in solo que but surf bro help keep the enemies stunned if your allies have tons of heavy hitters
