17. Journey along the River Soar what pretty pictures -The Boating Adventure

We journey on the River Soar from its mouth at Trent Lock basin seven in to Sileby Mill Boat Yard in order to take the boat for anti fouling and general renovations and repairs. I have chosen eight images along the way, I have found a number of old pictures and photos to bring to life and give information about each place. We visit the bell foundry in Loughborough and the Carillon in Loughborough. I have used the Eton Boating Song as a link piece and then mashed it together with other great classical pieces. We get soaking wet as we come into Loughborough and our rudder gets caught which needs attention. I also do a spot of singing (see if you can spot it).

Thank you, I reckon our family had a copy of St James Church ,Normanton on Soar. In the painting , is that not a ferry they used to use. Changed to the ferry that you shot of today. Thanks for the better shots of the church. Love the flock of Canadian Geese ? taking off .
