I love the formal park, but it would have to be summer for me as I would feel cheated wearing my trails on all that path and miffed if I ran through the woods and slipped everywhere and came out with muddy road shoes... Ha ha you had more ha ha than Danny when he came to Charlton! Lovely to see Gabby. Thanks for sharing.
On my visit, I thought of it as being like Bramhall without the hall :) My main memory of Glossop is spending about half an hour before the start playing frisbee with one of the volunteers dogs though XD
What a beautiful & varied park, Nicola. I will have to go & see it when I run at Lyme Park next year. Only six days now until I fly off to Ireland for my two parkruns overseas. At Glenfarne Wood I will have the novelty of seeing the U.K. across Upper Lough Macnean from the turnaround point whilst running outside of the U.K.
Looks like another cool park run. I remember having to deal with midges one summer after a rainy evening when I lived in the midwestern US. I live in the mountain west now, so we don't have any problems with those. The Great Salt Lake does have its share of mosquitos if you are close to it and at certain times of the year there are a TON of gnats near the river here. That did look like a fun course, although I suspect if you were a fast runner it might get a little frustrating weaving around people on the narrow trails. As always, you do a fabulous job showcasing the races and look forward to your content.
Thanks Eddie 🤗 Urgh... Bugs that bite are the worst! It's exactly how to ruin a good time really quickly 🤣 I think you're right about faster runners having a tough job but they seemed to do well navigating the rest of us 😃
@@NicolaRuns did Millbrook Monster 10k last night non stop in 53 mins quite tough for me this year last mile there are some steep steps and those killed my legs off but the good thing the entry fee inculdes a chip butty from the local chippy near the start well its going to be fine this week and in 2 days WaterGrove park run for me i love these tough runs etc
@@NicolaRunsCome on you can see the sheen of sweat due to the heat. Maybe, just maybe, a pre brunch shower was in order. I'm sure your friends love you two enough to not mind.
@@BillyBobJoeSnr lol... I was super sweaty! But I had baby wipes and a change of clothes. No shower though 🙃 The friends had done parkrun too of course so it was all good 😃
Well done yet again. There is something inherently unique about the villages in the Peak District, a real link to bygone times. Nice commentary and good tourist info. Thanks again
I adore the Peak District. Every now and then I forget about it and then fall in love with it again when I revisit. You're right, there's definitely a special feel there 🥰

Ooh you make a VERY good point about shoes! Definitely one to visit in summer! 🙃

@@NicolaRuns i know at Bramham 10k this morining it was not to bad ie the rain came to trail bit of race muddy and wet so had to be careful

@@MichaelTinker-dt1rp well done, chip butty sounds like perfection! 😃
@@NicolaRuns finished the race 36th out of 50 runners
Excellent run , yes the van is very handy for a snooze 😴 , she is growing up fast . Are you doing another road trip this year ?
Hmmm... yes I guess travelling with a bed will always appeal to a teenager 🤣 Nothing big this year, just a few weeks here and there 😃
@@NicolaRuns , that trouble in Leeds wasn't near you was it ? I hope not , we living in strange times . Just checking in 😊
@@bren70ssss94 awww thanks, it was a few miles away so all was calm here. Thanks for caring 🤗
@@NicolaRuns Always , gonna watch the new vid now , just noticed it , hooray :
Excellent video, but the "ha-ha" is actually a mill race
No way! That's interesting! Thank you so much 😃
That breakfast looks immense but I'm curious as to how veggie black pudding works?
It was mainly lentils, I'm not convinced it's particularly black pudding like but it was nice 🤷🏻♀️🙃
Not so sure about this week's parkrun fresh....
What do you mean? 🤔🙃

@@NicolaRunsMust admit this seems absolutely idyllic compared to the Edinburgh marathon. I was gagging at the thought of blood drenched tops.
