I think Beverley have a slightly 'old fashioned' tuning compared to Grantham; the tuning is slightly less stretched than compared with Grantham. I guess Beverley were cast and tuned near the start of Simpson tuning so working out what sounded exactly right was still being experimented with.
@mathijs_matthiasklok8951 there's a definite slightly more old fashioned sound to St Mary's bells as a result of the different tuning of the bells. It something you can hear on older recordings of music from the Victorian era.

I do have to say David but I do think Grantham bells are nicer than these bells.
