this is one of my favorite luke combs songs. it shows him going from small gigs to larger and larger gigs, his then girlfriend, nicole is a sony label exec that got him signed. in turn luke wrote and performed a set of 4 songs. the proposal song - beautiful crazy, then better together, loving on you and forever after all (that he sang at his wedding reception for his wife)
He's singing about a girl that broke his heart and the only thing that has helped him get over her is his guitar. He gave her his best and the only thing he has left he puts into his music. But her ghost follows him around. In his previous video One number away his ex-girlfriend wanted to meet up with him but gets in a car accident on the way to see him. And at the beginning of this video you could hear the news on the radio talking about a car accident which was her

Keep in mind that Luke put out his Can I get an outlaw EP in 2014 and didn't get signed until 2016 after doing the video with Upchurch in late 2015. Look at the views on the Upchurch video. That is what drove up the hype with Luke and made record labels see that Luke was marketable.

He sings whatever his record label daddy tells him to very nicely. Unfortunately its pop country that sounds exactly like everything else that comes out. Pretty sounding trash.
Personal opinion here but Luke Combs is much better than Dan and Shay and certain people like most Luke Bryan and a majority of the songs made by Florida Georgia Line.

And for Luke he’s all around good no matter what his music sounds like. Don’t get upset lol. Florida Georgia Line was a band I loved since I was little. I have no disrespect for them, I just don’t like certain aspects of maybe a handful of their songs. Over all though they are good.
And Luke is definitely one of the leading Country artists, and seeing the fact that he has sold out stadiums and has a huge fan base, he is quite liked and is considered more country than others. That doesn’t others aren’t as country as him but I specifically am talking about voice and less about look.

Luke is a sellout. Upchurch gave him his first break then he turned around stabbed Upchurch in the back and tried to throw him under the bus. Luckily it backfired. Love y'all though💕💓
He might sing good but what he did and continues to try to do to Upchurch turns me off.
