Tens of thousands of children are abducted and sold on the black market in China every year. Reluctant to tackle or even acknowledge the issue, Chinese authorities offer no support to desperate parents.
" I watch them every day ," says Mr Sun looking at CCTV footage of his son moments before he was kidnapped. Children have become commodities for buying and selling. Like thousands of Chinese families, the Suns have received no support from the police and are continuing a desperate and risky search on their own. Parents like them are viewed as troublemakers. "How dare you question the government?" the police shouted as the parents took part in a protest. The government does not openly acknowledge the issue. According to Amnesty International, statistics at the provincial level or the national level on child trafficking are classified as state secrets . Many blame the country' s one-child policy: with parents often relying on sons to look after them in their old age, boys will sell for as much as $6,000.

My heart breaks for these families. I can't began to imagine my son|daughter being abducted. Not knowing if they were sold into human trafficking, or a rich family. All the unknown of the fate of my child would be enough to drive me mad. One way or another they find the strength to keep fighting for the sake of their other children.
i shudder to think of what could have happened to these toddlers... who are these sick scumbag monsters snatching defenseless children? How torturous for the parents, all they can really do is share their story to warn others about these scenarios and hopefully prevent further tragedy. If that woman can't stay awake in front of the camera I would have to assume she's on something some sort of drug or medicine, she looks very unconcerned about her child to be honest. And if so many children disappear in China I would definitely not let my child go anywhere alone! In fact, if I went to China I would leave my child behind at home.

I do not know what the care system is like in China but in many countries children are abused & trafficked when in care too. Too many children suffer while adults do not protect them, or worse take advantage of them.

There is something that I am having trouble understand. It seems that all the missing children are age 5 or less. Never seen any child reported missing age 12 or older. This tells me that it may not be sex trafficking. So, what's going on here ?
Good question, many r sold into begging like the documentary said, some to work, organ harvesting or illegal adoption, this is a massive worldwide issue, developed or non developed nations.. yes I believe most of these children r sold into sex trafficking, especially for the Elite of the world. it's probably for money. they sell the children to other families or make the kids work for them as models or something else like that.
The younger the child the easier it is for the kidnapper to break them in & groom them. The kidnapper likely spanda some time training them up, molding them into doing any work that a buyer would want: Housework, farming, babysitting, begging, luring in other children, being tortured, child porn, being raped etc. Also it is kind of sweet & nieve to not realize that evil people rape children of any age, usually the younger the higher the price.
