This song is actually the Inkana Hilha (friendship dance). It is one of the Chickasaw social dances. This song is showing friendship and is sung to let the people feel welcomed. It has over one hundred verses. We just cut it down for time sake. Today we use this song to welcome people to the cultural center and at our dance grounds at Kullihoma.
I just found out I’m the 6th great grandson of George Colbert I always asked my dad if we were Mexican And my grandfather was a big darker skinned man But I just thought he was tan from working outside Glad to see this
