Lol, yes thanks for making this! I had the same initial impression wondering how this could handle off road, but only ever see it on the streets. No suspension looks rough haha, but cool it can kind of handle it
I built a reverse 3 wheeler with a tao tao rear end. Different carb and variator weights and it'll carry a 250 pound man up dirt hills, through sand and even manage in a little mud. 50cc is enough, just needs tuning. Mine now has an 80cc head. The front end is from a Yamaha big bear 350 with 25" tires.
this is cool, I wanted a Trail 125 to go offroading just to explore the Reno desert a bit, but this fits my budget better. Didn't realize it's so capable of trekking. Thanks for the vid.
I’ve considered one of these myself. Not in my meager budget just yet. Knowing that is is capable off of prepared pavement is a major plus should my intended or unintended routes take me alongside a bayou or some utility right of way. The bag installation and cargo description was quite handy also. The rear shock mod mentioned could be handy also. Thank you for bashing yours around, Chuck 😁
just got me a 2022 ruckus. they are not known for their take off, as i am learning. but they really come alive in the grass and dirt. having to much fun on this thing! need the trail 125 now lol. great video!
good test video dude. rucks are pretty fun all over machines. could i suggest you wear gear in your videos? im not expecting full leathers but a helmet and gloves would give a good example to other riders watching your videos.
I'm considering one of these myself. about 200lbs but 6'4" - do you think it would still work? The road I plan to take it on is no worse than what you tackled in this video
I like this bike, but I'm 23 stone, so not sure if it would take my weight and for how long. It would make a great little second bike though for friends and family to ride.
@@sticks7793 not rude, just telling it like I see it! I got a 2017 stock Ruckus and love it, sometimes I ride in shorts, but my knobby knees are tanned! Ha ha.
Honda ruckus do not have a oil filter like other bikes, to must dust that’s sucked up in the air box can make its way into your oil and mess up the motor
Hey if you still have it and I’m wondering if I can have it. I’m turning 14 in a few months and I love ruckus’s it would really help getting around my town
Great video. Is the rukus worth $3,000 more then the similar Coleman? Coleman's are like $1,000 or so . And the rukus $2700. Plus all the fees and taxes another $1200. Is the rukus worth it? I'm interested in a rukus
100% the coleman s are kids toys lol, they ride like shit and are built for like 300$ they are unreliable yo could give me one for free and i would just sell it or give it away
I have a lance Cabo 125 and I basically like to go out and do Adventures just like you do and it's nice to know that other people are out there doing that as well. Keep up the videos and tilt camera up a little bit more please
@@ChuckyWright np man, my ruckus handles well on off road paths well - just watch out for mud. The belt will snap and the centrifical clutch will powderize
Let’s see a tow video🤷♂️there’s a guy on here that towed a canoe down to the ocean and used to paddle for a bit and Load it up and went home and then I met a guy on the Honda ruckus Facebook group that actually towed a sail boat and used to slowly brake backwards down the launch ramp and launch his sail boat it was amazing! Plz reply with some feedback and see what you can do!
I loved my ruckus but I can say that it would do better with a better torque response. If it just had a little more punch you could really whip this through the mud. I used to roll through good sized puddles and the water splashes around the front end so well that I got none of the water soaking me up.
I have said it for 30 years and I’ll say it again. “It’s a Honda, It can do it”. They keep going. Great video. You’re a champ
they just never stop
"We made it to the top of mount Trashmore " lol
I can't believe the Ruckus was able to climb that hill and go through all that. That was impressive.
i was amazed specially with me being 195lbs
Hahah I take mine off-roading every week, the loose sand downhill is where the ruckus fails dangerously short
The Ruckus is an amazing little bike.
Lol, yes thanks for making this! I had the same initial impression wondering how this could handle off road, but only ever see it on the streets. No suspension looks rough haha, but cool it can kind of handle it
My grandparents have Honda scooters. One is a ruckus! I love testing it and riding it all over. Great video!
so much fun!

Wow! Impressive! For such a small motor, the ruckus did very well. After all Honda quality is very hard to beat. Great video!😊👍
I can’t believe you had 17,500 feet… You have balls of steel brother! Total respect
thanks man
The black and orange is the nicest colours I’ve seen this bike in
Excellent video. I have watched quite a few videos concerning the Ruckus, but your’s is the most satisfying.

it will do more than you would think!
I upgraded my rear shock and was amazed at how much of a difference it made...up next forks!
Which shock did you go with?
What was wrong with the old strut?
@@TC-yx1qt super soft, would bottom out on cracks and potholes made for an uncomfortable ride. The new one feels like proper suspension.
Thanks for doing the video. I'm very impressed by the little Ruckus. Especially doing the hill climb!

Mt Trashmore? is that east Michigan or is that a generic name for dumps landfills?
i’m grabbing mine tomorrow and planning on taking her on trips to the desert since my 4runner is only 2wd i’ll have some fun on this bad boy out there
Yoooooo my guy, where did you get that under the seat bag for the ruckus??????
amazon

It's a scooter , not a dirt bike.
