Thanks Jackie, that particular tote was on the chopping block when I was sorting out some bags to sell because I hadn't used it. However on second glance I think it's too nice to sell 🥰

Thank you so much for this. As a woman of a big age with wrist and elbow issues, this is fantastic. Also, when anyone asks me why I bought the McQueen bow tote, I'm going to tell them 5ftNothing made me do it. lol. I was so happy to see an actual review of the bag, with a lot of useful insights, and you confirmed that it would fit my needs, so I thank you!

As a 76 year old handbag lover all her life I am having issues with heavy bags and my arthritis. This video was very helpful, thank you.

Thank you, I'm so pleased you found the video helpful. I don't think people realise how much arthritis affects your life. As well as the pain there are all the other dexterity issues to deal with. I'm hopeful that medical research will find something that really helps. We have to try and stay positive 🥰

Hi Monarch, this is a video I've wanted to do for ages so when Eli left a comment about her broken wrist and which handbags would I recommend that were easy to use with 1 hand, I thought I should do it now 🥰

Hello Kaz, this is such an entertaining and informative video. I do love convenient to open and close bags. The bag has to work for me, not me working for the bag. I always say, I love flap bags because I can just open the flap, look into it, grab what I need and just close the flap down while everything is secure. With zipped bags sometimes I need two hands to undo a zipper and may not always close my bags, leaving myself at risk of spilling everything on the road or bus lols. I can be fairly clumsy outside of the studio. PS I still will always have a soft spot for Mulberry bags as it was my first gateway into higher end handbags.

Thanks Grace, I love flap bags and bucket bags like the Picotin. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Mulberry 🥰

You know, when you referenced “where has all the time gone”… there’s actually science behind that phenomenon (feeling like time is speeding up as you get older). This shift occurs because our brains form fewer new neural connections as we age, reducing the number of memorable events that make time feel elongated. Seeking new experiences, like starting a TH-cam channel, can help slow the perception of time, making life feel richer and more expansive. One of the many reasons why I want to learn Spanish, it’ll help me keep my brain firing on all cylinders! 🧠⏳

I love your comments 💜 My bestie and I were discussing this only last week, but I do thank you for pointing it out because I think a lot of people don't know this. Learning a language is one of the best things you can do. Him indoors and myself practice our French regularly and I learn a bit more Italian when I have time. I also *love* Oxford University's online courses. I completed the Advanced Creative Writing course last year, I'm sure you would love it because you are a bit of a wordsmith. Good to hear that you're learning Spanish, such a useful language. Before I started TH-cam I was going to do my doctorate in the Performing Arts but I don't have time at the moment. Maybe futher down the track I will. Sorry for the essay 🥰

@@5ftNothingYou have a fantastic well-rounded environment of continuous learning! 🏆 I agree, most people don’t realize that we need to do more as we age, not less. I do love those online courses!

I have dysgraphia and I’ve been showing signs of early on set arthritis despite only being 30. I can tell you for sure that regardless of how good a bag looks if it’s a pain to use I won’t use it. You’ve laid out great suggestions here and I greatly appreciate it. I have to learn to be more deliberate when shopping for bags. I used to just buy whatever caught my eye regardless of functionality but these days that simply won’t work. The leather on the Aspinal of London tote looks very luxurious. I’ll have to see if I can’t get my hands on one of their bags to see the quality in my own hands. Perhaps I’ll snag something in the annual sale.

Sorry to hear that Chris, you're quite young to have to be putting up with issues like that. It really is so important for bags to be very user friendly. It's been my first criteria since I developed osteo arthritis. Aspinal of London are great quality. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed by them. Thanks for the recommendation of the peekaboo, I'll have to check it out ❤

Hi 😊 so glad you made this video. Seeing the bags and their pros and cons for people with dexterity issues was so enlightening.
Like very much the Aspinal of London Lottie and the medium Tote. I'll be looking at their website for seasonal sales.
I have put in an insert in my medium long handles Longchamp bag and it's working out ok for the moment. Sadly, being in pain almost 24/7 for the first time in my life and having to do everything so slowly now, takes out a lot of enery. But wiggin' it😊
Love all the bags you showed today. Really pretty and if they are functional for our issues, that's a double win. Take care and thanks again for your great content❤

Hi Eli, Aspinal is definitely the best quality I've found for that price point. I did however go a bit overboard as I do and bought too many of the same style but in different colours. I'm slowly selling them because most of them haven't been used. I know what you mean about chronic pain, it's draining emotionally as well as physically. I do hope there's some improvement with your wrist 🥰
