Hello Lydia. I love, love, love loafers too. It would be so helpful to see a presentation on how to style loafers using different types of socks with different types of clothing. Thank you for your marvelous styling tips.
Yes, please! I need a video on how to wear socks with different length pants (jeans specifically). I live in a very cold climate and need socks in the winter.
I love your voice! Thanks for sharing your lovely *gtdupe* bag / wardrobe collection :) I actually love how you store your collection and definitely an inspiration for me in my future home
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *gtdupe* leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I think that people love your quiet luxury videos precisely because it is exactly your stile... It looks effortless on you, you're a natural. Thanks for the video! ❤
I love wearing my Monica Vinader jewelry with my casual looks. I watch Lydia for ideas about sharp looking outfits, and even though I'm older but I get compliments from young women all the time. Thanks Lydia!
Love all the outfits in this video. I am in my 70 and have dressed in this manner for years but I feel your videos have helped me to tweak my style and keep it up to day with the things I already have in my wardrobe.
The term 'quiet luxury' is relatively new, but its concept of course has been around forever, which can be defined as quality of materials and craftsmanship with no loud logos, usually present in simple, classic styles, cuts and colours. This was a way of life for my Italian parents for everything, from decor, to food, to clothing, and as we are influenced in our childhoods, my siblings and I breathed in these standards through osmosis. Like you, Lydia,, some of us have already been living 'quiet luxury' as part of our innate sense of style for years, well before it became a coined term. This is probably why I was attracted to your channel, even though I am older than you. While at times it may have felt a little boring for some, timeless pieces are always appropriate and the right foil for a little fun and unexpected details to keep things fresh,
@@drdornesowerby5863 Tonal pieces worn together will usually result in a polished and elegant look, but so does a 2 tone colour combination of classically paired colours. There are some colour stories that will always be timeless and chic, like for example - Black + Tan/cognac/tabac, Navy Blue + Tan, Light Blue + Cool Brown, Grey + Burgundy, Grey + Blue --- to name a few. Colour choices have a lot to do with creating a 'quiet luxury' or understated elegant look.
@@o.m.6374 you missed my point entirely. I meant a red jacket with black turtleneck and black trousers, pink pussybow silk blouse under a grey suit, and a bright Hermes scarf with a grey jumper and trousers, so on. A lot depend on skin tones and climate as well.
@@drdornesowerby5863 From your reply: "You can wear colour but only one at a time.", I indeed took it to mean wearing one colour only. It seems you are considering black and grey as being a non-colour, which is incorrect. The examples you give of colour combinations (red+black, pink+grey, grey+bright/multi coloured scarf) may be different from the ones I mention, but the concept is the same, which is a 2-tone colour combination. Having said this, you will find that colours that are usually considered as 'quiet luxury' tend to be less 'bright'. No objections to a pop of colour though.
I'd love to see some quiet luxury/ casual but pulled together evening looks. My issue is I tend to go too fancy for dinner outfits and feel overdressed instead of effortlessly stylish. Thanks Lydia!
You are such a true fashion inspiration, dear Lydia. I also think that quiet luxury in the sense of high-quality, well-made, wearable whilst also classic pieces is such a great trend that it is not even a trend anymore.
So glad that you are still making videos about quiet luxury because the more ideas on how to wear them beautiful the better. It’ll always be part of my style whether it’s trendy or not.
I love your own quiet style of delivering these videos. You wear your clothes with such elegance and polish. Everything you say makes it easier to discern when out shopping, or even when looking in our own wardrobes to create outfits. I’d love a video on quiet evening looks too please ❤
I am obsessed with those loafers! That entire look is just screaming classic and timeless. You look like a movie star in the 90s and i love that on you!
Tonal pieces worn together will always give off a pulled-together and considered look that creates a sense of 'quiet luxury'. I think autumn and winter in particular are excellent times of the year to showcase the concept of quiet luxury with layers of knitwear and scarves and with the way certain fabrics drape like wool, or a wool-silk and cashmere-silk blends, and of course introducing a bit of suede in footwear, bags, belts and clothing will amp the look. But what I think really does the trick is colour, and specifically a tone-on-tone look. I think you have mentioned this before, Lydia that simply pairing the colour of your top to your outerwear, whether if be a coat, jacket, blazer or cardigan, will instantly create a look of considered quiet luxury. This always works for me, especially when I have one of those 'I-don't-know-what-to-wear' moments. And the cooler seasons are just the right time to do this.
Watching you has given me the opportunity to re- imagine my wardrobe. Your strength is in your delivery and thought. Love the quiet luxury style so much, it truly is timeless. More please.
Basic clothing that fits correctly. Colour that flatters and nice fabrics without fussiness in design will flatter and look quality. A tailor will fit clothing beautifully at modest charge if the garment fabric justifies it. My son used to have his purchased suits etc corrected by a tailor including his shirts. Tailors are remarkably skilled.
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
I recently discovered your channel . I like your style and I think you give great ideas. Although we are not the same age, your style is timeless and very elegant . Thank you

Hello Lydia, thank you so much for this video. I would definitely like to see QL evening looks please. Your videos are always so useful and inspiring. Thank you for your amazing work!

Thanks for this! I’d like to see more Quiet Luxury outfit ideas, like the loafers with a skirt. A video of outfits for each tip mentioned here for daytime, evening wear, etc. I’d also like to see your athletic wear and loungewear tips if you have any.
Hi Lydia. I’ve been a fan of those things since I first started working. I’ve just retired but I will still dress that way, just less corporate for some pieces. I love loafers too and I wear navy nearly every day. I try to find alternatives but keep going back to it. I know it suits my skin tone. I love your green blouse and that whole look. That green would probably look drab on me unfortunately but I could probably add white. It’s a gorgeous piece and suits you. I like your classic style. You always keep it up to date and accessories certainly do that. I think people are calling it quiet luxury now to make it sound more modern. 😊 I agree about the handbags. I’ve never owned a luxury brand and would avoid them anyway. There are too many fake copies around. I prefer not to show logos too. I like your suede Flattered bag. I was thinking of buying it actually. I watched another influencer a day or so ago who said what you were saying about the mid-priced bags and she also featured the Flattered bag. So I might wait. It might get too popular. Thanks Lydia. Love your videos.

I have a 1940s cocktail ring, 18 ct gold bands of diamonds and a big red stone in the centre. It has a suggestion of a bow shape and is beautiful, made in a time when some women were working men’s jobs for good pay during wartime, so designed for what women wanted for themselves and bought for themselves. There are some on eBay now and then, some have diamonds in bands like gears very architectural and stunning to wear. I have brooches I wear frequently and am teaching the tiny grandchildren about brooches. Even the boys. I have just been buying a couple of marcasite brooches, extreme labour to make the good quality firms. Beyond that I have lots of Mediterranean coral and best amber from Kaliningrad. I had trousers like you are wearing in quite heavy beautiful wool years ago and various tops to match. I have unique belts and jewellery from Kieselstein Stein, a silversmith in New York who makes bags, belts all with solid silver mountings, and jewllary. Significant jewellery with themes and an edge. The belts are crocodile..real..with solid silver fittings. I have crocoidieles and the crescent moon with the man’s face as belt buckle and a heavy brooch.
