Throwing / Making a clay Pottery Cookie Jar & Lid on the Wheel

  • Using about 4 pounds of clay, making a lidded cookie jar on the wheel.
I just throw a cylinder, make a ridge for the lid to sit in and open up the shape from the inside.
The lid is a simple flat type with a bit of a pointed knob.

    That's beautiful work.
I have had a $10,000 kiln ready to go for over 8 years.
    I got cancer.
    They got it all.
    Then got alpha gall.
It about killed me before I was finally diagnosed.
Severe arthritis but getting it under control with the right foods.
    I'm feeling a lot better.
Now I have to sell some stuff and get me a wheel.
Watching you lit a fire under me.
I can't wait to get my hands muddy.
When I got sick, wheels were about $700.00 .
    Now they are almost $2000.00.
    Lol
    Wish me luck.
    Thanks for the video.

Sorry if you already know this, but you can let it dry (not to much, just enough to the surface stands soft to hard and don't break inside), and use a piece of plastic, to give a shine front end to it, it will be some sort of polishing.
