I got a 4090 in December of 2023 for $2,200 after tax at Micro Center. I'll be using it for at least 6 more years. If my previous card (2080Ti) had more Vram I probably wouldn't have bothered with the 4090 when I did.
as someone who bought a 3060 ti (8 gb fml) right when the 30 series released back in 2020, I think im going to go with a 5080 or wait to see what happens with rdna 4.
Just buy that 5080. AMD is just releasing a bad product with a bad price. Is very sad this duopoly, but if you going to buy something, better to go with the best brand
Short answer. You would have to be an idiot to sell your current graphics card now in hopes of picking one up when they release. These cards will be bought in mass by scalpers with the intent to double the price. Just hold on to your card until you have a new one in hand unless you don't need your computer for a few months.
its possible to get one, not in a chip shortage like we were in 2020 and 2022 and bitcoin mining on gaming gpus just arent worth it anymore, so that just leaves scalpers
I just sold my 4080 for 85% what I paid. Was originally thinking would just get the 5080 but with it having only 16GB of VRAM I'm gonna see how the reviews pan out for MFG and then possibly get the 5070ti which also has 16GB for same price sold 4080 for. Not interested in the 5090 as price is just too high. I woulda got the 4090 had I known that you could fully recoup your cost down the line though. I'm not sure same will be true for 5090 with them having increased price by almost a third and the raster uplift not looking as being in same ballpark as 3090 to 4090. If the MFG software works as shown in cyberpunk by DF then Nvidia may even have shot themselves in the foot trying to sell their top tier cards.
I paid $1,699 for my 4090, and I had it for 27 months. Then I sold it a few days ago on Ebay for $1,699. But after shipping, insurance, and Ebay fees, I was left with $1,450. For a 27 month old card. I was well satisfied with that.
@@Rob-Davidson i am glad you found absolut stooopid person to buy 4090 for that price.... tbh, i sell all my gpus before rumors came out. so obvious price was very pleasant for me, now everybody cry if they dnt get half the price for their overpriced trash. DLSS4 wellcome...🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you have a 40 series, DO NOT UPGRADE for more fake frames. I don't recommend cranking up your fake frames just to get more frames. Latency goes way up, and it just doesn't look better and doesn't play better unless you have a 5060 and it can't handle high-end games. But if you have anything in the 40 or 50 series in 70-ti ,80, and 90, you shouldn't run fake frames. Just lower your settings some to get more real frames. And remember, kids, always turn your TAA down or off. ❤ new game devs are lazy and want games to be blurry. Taa= blurry
@rudyg6922 im forced to use it in-game for some games I play. Battlefield 2042, for example, uses "forced" TAA. This means it can't use anything other form of anti-aliasing. In Battlefield 4, i use 4xMSAA, and it shows some jagged or flaws in the game here and there, but it isn't blurry while moving. Blurr busters forum has a whole article on bad TAA. Not all TAA is bad. But many are and/or they don't allow us to turn it off or use another anti-aliasing. It may be because on Battlefield 2042 there's cross platform play with console systems playing or they know most people are playing on low end cards wanna play and if it's too sharp it'll he harder to render for the majority. When bf3 came out I couldn't run it for many years. It was a tough game to run unless you had the very LATEST cutting edge highest end GPU. But anyway lol.. ya taa for many games =blurry while moving. I tried turning it off in nvidia panel and that didnt work for me. I tried editing config files for the game without success. It's a multi player game so ya no luck
@ Ah ok I agree Taa isnt perfect I mostly play single player titles and in the newer ones it tends to be just as good as smaa except you know slightly soft image-wise lol
It depends on what your current card is. If you're rocking something from RTX 2000 or previously than it would make sense. If you have a 3000 series than it depends and if you have a RTX 40-anything then don't waste your money.
That's not true. I have a 4070, which has served me well for the last 20 months. However, upgrading to the 5080 will give me double the raw rasterization performance and triple the raw RT performance without even taking DLSS into account. Plus the extra VRAM won't hurt. Are you saying me upgrading from the 40 series to the 50 series wont be worth it? I already have a buyer lined up to buy my 4070 for $400, so the 5080 will only be $600 out of pocket for me.
@@03chrisv Then by all means go for it. I should have been more specific in that it's my opinion it wouldn't be worth it to upgrade from an equivalent tier 4000 to the equivalent 5000 card. So if you have a 4070 it probably isn't worthwhile to upgrade to a 5070. If you have a 4060 or 4070 and are going up to a 5080 or 5090 then it could make a big difference.
NO! Keep your 4090. It's going to be a legendary card with the 1080ti. I upgraded my CPU to the 9800x3d with my 4090. to me it' like this. 7800x3d + 5090 equals 9800x3d + 4090. The 5090 is not enough upgrade to warrant ditching the 4090.
Features are nice to haves and should not be not necessary to play games. $550 FOR 12GB of VRAM? Textures don't care how fast the memory is, 16GB of GDDR 6 is better than 12GB of GDDR 7 to run the best textures. AMD has a shot here if they price right.
I wouldn't expect anything more than 20% in raster, which is not bad tbh. I'm also looking out for 5070ti or 5080 depending on better bang for buck, but I come from 7900XT.
I am the owner of 4080 as well and I have pre-ordered the Pimax super. In my case, my question is whether the 4080 is powerful enough to utilise the Super.
@ well, good thing that AIBs are finally offering so many different variants of the cards. That’s means more stock. We shall see. The FE for sure that shit will be gone but tbh Best buys website does a good job. I was able to snag a 4080 Super FE launch day from them without any issues.
I have a Titan V (which performs worse than a 2080 ti even without dlss), that I won a few years back... after experiencing the high end I don't want to go back to days on the low end (460, 1030, 2060S). So I saved up for over a year and will definitely be getting the 5090 16gb vram is why im not going for the 5080, and 32g vram is why im going 5090. Plus its all GDDR7 too. Anyway in some games of today that are very gpu heavy and poorly optimized, the Titan V struggles. Not in fps so much (at least now that I upgraded the cpu from an I7-8700 to the 9800x3d) but in artifacting and other weird graphical effect... or it will thermal throttle. While its absolutely fine in well optimized gpu heavy games or cpu heavy games. I don't want to push my beloved Titan V to the point it dies either or ignore half the games out there, plus its a pain to find any other Titan V users posting reviews saying if the card struggles on this random game or not. So instead I'm gonna frame it and make it a conversation piece in my gameing room once I get the 5090. I think the Titan Vs struggles are a result of the Vram being hbm2 vs gddr6x of most modern gpus. While Hbm2 vram has way more bandwidth and is more power efficient (often meaning less cooling is needed so less is given, which is why a Titan v got away with the old blower design); hmb2 it also has less channels, less data per pin, and has lower clock speeds. Which is probably why its artifacting and thermal throttling. Anyway, AMD used to use HMB1 back in 2015 but phased it out for GDDR6 for gaming gpus for a reason.
@@antoniomontana9646 I really believe that. Now some 4090 owners may still really want to because they have disposable income and just always want to have the best.. understandable.. but NVIDIA really is targeting 30 series owners or earlier.. and low tier 40 series owners. The vast majority of people do not upgrade every cycle.
@@AverageLarryGaming Actually that's not true. Most of the people who own a 4090 have a lot of disposable income and want the best, they are not shopping based on value but on having the best performance possible. Don't be surprised when it's mostly owners of the highest end hardware upgrading once again because they are the only ones who can afford to.
If you are down in a 20 series card? Then yeah go upgrade. The level of enjoyment will not really change, a games a game. Chasing frame rates that are indiscernible to the human eye makes no sense at all. An upgrade is an upgrade. It does not matter if you are going from an RX580 to a 6600 or from a 2080 to a 4070. You will still get the same satisfaction from the experience as you will chasing the latest and greatest every two years. Which is just stupid. Until there is a game that you are dying to play will not run on your system? There is no reason to really be falling for all this hype. As someone who played the original Doom and Wolfenstein at 320p with
The answer is yes and no. Wow, just stunning analysis. So the 50X0 series NVidia cards have become Schrodinger's GPUs. Maybe we can take a deep breath and wait until some production units are able to be actually TESTED before pronounce a death sentence...
My 3070 is still a low-mid range 1440P card. I think the 30 series is still very viable, even though DLSS is becoming more and more enticing to have good graphics settings even at medium while keeping above 60 fps for these brand new releases at 1440P. I have a backlog of games on steam anyway, so it'll be a while before I even touch a game like Silent Hill 2. Heck, 1440P native with locked 30 or 40 at max settings without RT does not sound bad on controller.
Nope getting 9070xt. 4070ti performance with matching RT and FSR comparable to probably DLSS 2.0 that will get better over time for so cheap. This is a gamers friend.
4090 owner here. Going to do the trade in program with Newegg for a $1350 return. That makes the 5090 cost much more digestible at around $650 before tax. The trick is beating scalpers to that buy button.
I got 4090 from a guy who after 5090 announcement feared 4090 prices will fall like flies when glorious 5090 is released. Price was fairly good at 1300 bucks for card with one year warrantly. I could perhaps negotiate better price but I didn't want to be offensive. In our country we have rather large tax so 5080 will be about this price and this GPU was what I predicted I will get. Then again people selling their 4090s is great opportunity to get even better GPU for cheaper and I predict I will be able to sell 4090 later before warranty runs out if 5080 is for whatever reason better or if Nvidia maybe releases 5080 Super or something. 5090 itself seems nice but for me 4090 was already amazing improvement coming from 6900XT
@@xpodx Not really brand new its still 1.7k usd if you lucky. Plus its beats out all these new gpu besides the 5090 and its not that crazy difference idk. He might have got cheap but 4090 still going to be a monster.
I currently own an RTX 4090. Purchased it at MicroCenter the morning of release. I do not feel the need to upgrade. I game at 4K (PG32UCDM) and the only component I know will definitely improve my gaming is a CPU upgrade. I have the i9-10850K and I can notice that it’s not able to keep up as well as it used to when I had first purchased it in 2020. GPU upgrades aren’t always the answer. If I upgraded to the 9800X3D, my gaming experience will become much smoother without needing to upgrade the GPU. This is all just to say, sometimes a CPU or monitor upgrade will do more for the gaming experience than a GPU upgrade will. Not always, but sometimes.
Still using a 1080 oc. It’s still viable for 1080 on mostly low settings for newer big/demanding titles, and even more so with fsr but that of course comes with its own caveats. Plan to get a 5080 or 5090 and rock that like my 1080 for the next 10ish years. In relative whatever I get will be more than a significant upgrade
I have 2 options. Return my 4080 Super prebuilt to store and buy 5090 to build around (I’m still within return window). Or buy 5090 to replace the 4080 Super in current system and sell it after. Any input?
Guys, the fact that the 4090's are still at the same price when launch and in some places even more expensive, these are good cards. If you have an 4090 and you are not making money out of it (streamer with moderate to big viewership) or producting/editing content and making money out of it, USD 2,000-2,500 for 20-25% more speed (in some areas) is not worth it.
@@marlesdk I believe that if you're upgrading your Monitor/s to any of the new 4k monitors being released then it would viable to upgrade from a 30 series GPU to the new 50 series.
I’m keeping my 4090. The 5090 doesn’t look like a huge upgrade beside multi frame which is only few game a have and I am certain it maybe buggy day one. Plus scalping is likely to happen. I have seen this too much when people sell their graphics for anticipating for new one just to not get one or have to buy scalp.
30% or more is a massive difference. Getting 100fps at 4k, you'd be getting at least 130 or more. Lowering the settings a little and you can get 4k 144hz on avg. But I'm getting 5k 144hz next and if I sell my 4090 I'll get the 5090.
@ 30 percent is not huge performance uplift with 25% price increase. It is not worth in my opinion. I usually like to get double or more to be worth since it’s a 2k before tax graphic card. Also I am happy with the performance with most of games. I rather wait for the 60 series. I like to wait every other gen since I get the most out of my money.
@@xpodxyeah, but it's not more efficient, or even higher perf/$... Why do you want to spend more money for linear performance or worse diminishing returns... This generation is only a boost of peer/$ for the 5080 andat e 5070 as the 4090 was the only good perf/$ cars last generation.... Unfortunately. The RTX 4000 series just makes all the non RTX 5090 RTX 5000 series cards look more appealing because all the cards had crap performance for the money. Even if 5080 is close to 4090 performance the 4090 will still on out in more circumstances because of its higher amount of VRAM. The VRAM will help it keep it's value.
@tanker242 cuz i want more power. I'll take what I get. Of course I'd rather have 20000% percent better. But just because it's a couple years later doesn't nessasary mean it improves. Takes tons of effort and ingenuity. It's amazing we get even 30-40% better in just 2 years.
I get you, but likely it will be 25% faster but for USD 2,000- 2500 dollars. Not counting that they might come up with issues we don't know yet, overheating, ports melting etc. If you would have an 4080 it would be cool to upgrade to 5080 just for the new technology and its only 1000-1400. I have a 4090 which i bought for 2,000. Likely will get the 9900X3D and stop my purchasing hornyness.
7800xt owner here: should i go for the 5070ti or higher if i can grab 1 for msrp? Most 40 cards back then were too expensive (scalpers mainly) but a microcenter opened near me and should I upgrade? Im fine with FSR but seeing more frames could be nice on cyberpunk or stalker 2
I would. FSR is so bad, it would be worth it just to have dlss. Im switching back to nvidia this gen, have a 6950xt and hate fsr, but its required in a lot of new games.
Waiting for Hardware Unboxed to have a true workout on these cards. It's going to take longer than any previous Gen. ❓ Don't you think? Dissecting all this frame producing tech?
i have a 3090 atm. wondering if I should try to sell and then get a 5080. or would it be better to wait for maybe the 24gb variant (hopefully) for the 5080
I have a 4070 Super and think I’m gonna take the leap to the 5090 to pair with my 9800X3D that’s still in the box, making this my first custom built PC

But I also am VERY happy with my current AM4 ROG Strix X570-I with Ryzen 9 5950X... weigh up the cost/benefit of upgrade to AM5 with prob (at this stage) 7950X3D or see what the 9950X3D brings with power draw etc... but TBH my rig with the 4070 is totally fine... yeah... wait to see REAL benchmarks of all the gear is best I reckon - don't just buy because its new and there.
Depends, do you have a lot of money and don't care about parting with it? It's very telling when nvidia publishes only DLSS improvements and RT, rasterization improvements will be extremely modest, possibly single digit improvements. If you game on 1080 or 1440 then I would say you most definitely do not need to upgrade.
@ yea my 3080 runs like a beast on 4k without RT..but turn that shit on and its crap. also with newer games it runs out of vram. your on a 3090 though so you wont have that problem.
For once since the 30's generation I'm a little less enthusiastic about upgrading, I have the 4090 and the money for a 5090 but when I look at the graphics on the NVIDIA webpage especially Far Cry 6 raw performance, I find it a little sad, we're talking about what 20% maybe 25%, not too sure that the $2000 plus is justifiable here, passing a generation is not a problem for me.
I'm buying 4090's, I pay $399 if it's almost new, $50 if it has dust or has been used to play Cyberpunk or Star Citizen. I'm also buying 5090's next year when the 6090 comes out, I will pay $5000, 4999 of those dollars will be ai generated.
Upgrading to the RTX 5000 series really just depends on your specific situation. Luckily I have an RTX 4070 that I can sell and just pay the extra couple of hundred dollars to get the RTX 5070.
I'm running a 3080ti at 1440p. I'm also upgrading my IPS to a 480hz OLED. Since I won't be moving to 4k, a 5080 is tempting with the performance and vram bump. I can get $419 for my GPU with Neweggs trade in program. Microcenter is only offering me $266.
People have to understand the pricing. The 4090 slots right in-between price wise with the 5090/5080. Performance wise without dls4 is in-between them as well. What makes the 5090 for me is the 32gb ram and a 512gb memory bus. With power unlocking....that card should be a monster for 400 bucks more. 2 years ago I bought a 7900xtx and skipped the 40 series...5090 here I come.
One other thing occurred to me when they announced these cards, I don't know how many others are like me out there, but I game almost exclusively on Linux. DLSS ray reconstruction came to linux very quickly, but It took over a year for frame generation to come to Linux, are we going to have to wait for the signature feature of these new gpu's to come to Linux or will it be available day 1? also they said that you will use the nvidia app for games that dont support multi framegen, that app is not avaialble on Linux and nothing has been announced so will that become avaialble? Nvidia is all in on steamos at this point so hopefully they move fast on bringing these features tot he Linux ecosystem.
I'm a owner of a RX 7900xtx, love the card, not interested in any upscaling tech, just never use it, on my previous Nvidia cards. I just go raw dawg style, don't even like Ray Tracing. But with saying that, I'm seriously considering a the 5080 or 5090 to push out the max frames I get. But how much extra the new GPU's is the question.
I have the 3080 Ti as well.. just played the new Indianna jones title @ high/Ultra settings with ray tracing on and it does great. Im hoping to get ahold of the 5080 @ or near MSRP but at least the 3080ti is roughly equivalent to the 4070 super minus frame gen. 3080 Ti is by no means dead.
@@samuelbehrendt6291 3080ti here too. It's still really solid at 1440p tbh. I can get good trade in value so a 5080 is tempting but I may also just skip another gen.
I run a 4090 FE I bought for $1450 before tax at launch, and let it sit in my computer, mostly unused for the last two years... For shame. I also have a 3080 ti as a paper weight, it works, and my brother owes me money on a 3080. Also have a 5700xt laying around somewhere I traded with someone for an equivalent of $800 because they wanted my 3060 ti I was going to sell. I should have just sold them all instead of being lazy or depressed.
I want to see the raw performance first, if its similar to the 40 series then no. If you do vr games you want raw performance if the vr game doesn't support dlss. The tensor cores are way bigger though, so they might be very fast ai GPUs. The raw performance might not be enough to upgrade to, because prices are still inflated, and not a real gen on gen performance uplift. Just more fake frames. Is dlss4 instantly compatible with games that have dlss3? Or does it needs implementation? Its going to be interesting what the reviewers will say. Nvidia has yet to pull a fast one on the 50 series, until we see what the raw performance is. You just know they don't want to give you a fast midrange GPU.
Seriously ? You need PCIe 5.0 to get the performance as advertised, meaning you need to have an expensive motherboard and DRAM ! Also when upscaling is nescessary to get where you want to go then you are getting ripped of very bad since not a single 5000 series card renders over 1080p natively. It's just as if the made the 5000 series the same as the 4000 except with a much higher power consumption. In short : It's utter crap ... again ...sigh
The only thing I took from this video is that if spending money is your hobby, then get a 5090. Nvidia's so called "comparison" is just garbage, just generate more AI predicted frames and call it performance... no thanks. Jensen saying the 5070 will perform as well as a 4090 is incredibly disingenuous,
It's tough to ignore those multi frame generation numbers, but I think people should try to consider the baseline raster performance of the cards when considering an upgrade. For upper midrange like me, 5080 is a good card to consider, 5070 Ti also looking strong. I think for the next step down, that is where AMD's 9070 XT is trying to step in with price to performance. We have to wait for reviews to know exactly what the numbers are going to be. Thumbs up.
I heard the raw performance uplift wont be much and in the 10-15% range on a 5080 vs 4080 so if that's true, then this will be like 4060ti levels of "improvement" with ai/frame gen being where the improvement is at with dlss 4. Planned obsolescence
@@YoungGirlz8463 What? Still? A majority of players enjoy AAA titles which are single player. Titles like Resident Evil are huge. Lots of people want good visuals and a good story over an online shooter or RPG.
Not unless necessary. Have a 3090 and its no where near a big enough boost for the cost from my situation. Really a far less need to upgrade as often with consoles holding back majority of game's system requirements, etc.
Getting a new GPU, especially the 5080 and 5090, at the suggested retail prices is only going to happen during launch. Once they sell out (and yes, they will sell out, even at those prices) you won't find them again at that price thanks to scalpers and the like, not to mention potential tariff increases. My plan is to hold on to my current GPU till I can secure purchasing the new one. If I manage to snag what I want, then I can sell the card I have. And probably still get a good price for it, even used, as its a 4080 Super nVidia Founders Edition that I bought when it launched last Jan. If I'm not lucky enough to pick up a 5090 FE, I will still have that card, so not the end of the world. I missed out on the 4090 and I refuse to buy from scalpers, so I plan to get a 5090. Good luck to the rest of you with whatever you decide to do, and watch out for scams! If its too good to be true, it probably isn't.
I passed on a 4090 and installed a 4080 super in a SFF. I'm happy with the performance, but I'm still tempted to upgrade to a 5080 or 5090 water cooled to fit inside an SFF🤔
I'm kinda regretting getting a 4070ti because of the 12gb of vram. Would like to grab a 5080 or 5070ti for the 16gb of gddr7, if they don't sell out before I get a chance at one.
Just sold my 4090 with the aim of getting a 5090. Do I need to? No, not really. But I can. So I'm going to. I should really upgrade my 12700k first. But that can wait till later this year where I'll probably go with a 9800x3d.
What gpu are you using in the mean time and how much you sell it for? Unless you are lucky to get one day one, you are most likely either getting a scalp one or no 5090 at all. I seen this too much when people sell their graphics card for the new one and didn’t get one or have to buy scalp. Look at the 30 series and 40 series history
@@AntDknator I agree. Don't sell your old graphics card before the new ones even come out. That's why I'm holding on to my 3090 until I get a new GPU in my hands. I don't want to be stuck in a situation where I can't play games, and I can't get the exact card I want because they are sold out.

Honestly I am really impressed with NVIDIA. The AI improvements are ultimately pro-consumer even if alot of people think every frame should be rendered natively. As time goes on, there's more and more hardware to optimize for and it becomes harder. The AI technology helps mitigate the difficulty of optimizing games. Also despite their market dominance they haven't jacked their prices up too too much. They definitely could have jacked them up more. Also people are kind of freaked out by the MSRP of the RTX 5090 but I view it more as a workstation class GPU then a gamer card. I say this even as someone locked in with RDNA 3. (I have an Alienware M18 R1 with a Ryzen 9 7945 HX + Radeon RX 7900M)
I'm currently on a 3080 10GB and I'm waiting to see the reviews and prices for the 5080 and 5090. I know I'll need to upgrade but the biggest factor for me would be the pricing on the market. 5080 would probably be powerful enough for me, but that 16GB VRAM.......would prefer it to have at least 24GB as I'm dabbling a little in generative AI. Honestly though, I don't think I'll be buying a new 50-series card anytime soon, cos I see that huge gap between the 5080 and 5090, and I'm 90% convinced Nvidia has another card in there. A 5080 Super or Ti or Super Ti. Maybe with 24GB of VRAM.

I got a 4090 in December of 2023 for $2,200 after tax at Micro Center. I'll be using it for at least 6 more years. If my previous card (2080Ti) had more Vram I probably wouldn't have bothered with the 4090 when I did.

@@formulaic78 I'd use that money to get a used 4090. It would save you money over getting a 5080 and you would have more Vram.
Taa= blurry
Thank you for your facts 🎉
Taa bad? What do you use? Smaa?
4070 Ti Super and above, yeah. Sure, don't upgrade. but for me, 4070 owner. I need RT Ultra. Deadass. 5070 Ti is my way to go.

id do the same if i had a 4090..chances are i will do the same for hte 60 series though. as im going 5090 this year
It depends on what your current card is.
On the other hand with AMD you got 16b vram but terrible upscaling and drivers that constantly crash and have issues.

So I saved up for over a year and will definitely be getting the 5090
16gb vram is why im not going for the 5080, and 32g vram is why im going 5090.
I love my 4090 i keep it

If you are down in a 20 series card? Then yeah go upgrade. The level of enjoyment will not really change, a games a game. Chasing frame rates that are indiscernible to the human eye makes no sense at all. An upgrade is an upgrade. It does not matter if you are going from an RX580 to a 6600 or from a 2080 to a 4070.

@AntDknator 5% isn't much. 25%+ is pretty solid.

I have a feeling the 40 cards are only gonna get more expensive and not many people will want these new cards
I might get a 5080 and sell it when the ti/super varient comes out.
But how much extra the new GPU's is the question.
i have gtx 1660 ti from 2019 what you think 🛩
I have 4090. I'm keeping it until 60 series.
peasant
@@YoungGirlz8463Lol cope he saving his money for powerful gpu like 2080 to 4090
running 3080ti and it is still a good work horse for what i do, no need to upgrade
@@samuelbehrendt6291 the 3080 is though sadly
You are literally wrong on every point you tried to make lol
Ok, you suggest 6k AMD and 3K Nvidia users to upgrade and play what with those gpus? Those few unoptimized games that you might like or not?
The only thing I took from this video is that if spending money is your hobby, then get a 5090. Nvidia's so called "comparison" is just garbage, just generate more AI predicted frames and call it performance... no thanks. Jensen saying the 5070 will perform as well as a 4090 is incredibly disingenuous,
I sold my 3080ti 750$ , found a 1080 60$ , im playing small games right now , it works well , i’ll get the 5080 when the time is right
It's tough to ignore those multi frame generation numbers, but I think people should try to consider the baseline raster performance of the cards when considering an upgrade.
I cant believe people are still playing single player games!
Why would you believe that is the real question lol they are all around 30% uplift
@@YoungGirlz8463 What? Still? A majority of players enjoy AAA titles which are single player. Titles like Resident Evil are huge. Lots of people want good visuals and a good story over an online shooter or RPG.
My 3090 with Upscalers work well. I dont need to upgrade now.
yup
even on cyberpunk with path tracing or indiana jones?
same with my 3080ti at 1440p
The 5090 will be scalper price of about 3,200 good luck buddy and 5080 5 percent faster than 4090 for scalper 1799
Do not buy fake AI copy FPS.
Look like you lost quite a bit of weight mate, good on ya.
@@AntDknator I myself sold my 4090 about 10 days ago on eBay for $1,900, netted over $1,600. I have a 3080 as a backup, and it is actually performing much better than expected. I'm not worried about failing to get a 5090 at retail, I was able to get a 3090 and 4090 on day one.
@@stevetb7777 as long you have a back up, then you are good. Hopefully you get a 5090 day one
@@AntDknator He won't tell you because he didn't have one.
and if he did and ANYBODY paid over retail now if a FOOL! Not worth more than 1400$ MAX as the 5080 will match if not beat it at 999$.
No, Don't sell. That is all
after 6 years of heavy use my 2080 is slowly dying. and will be buying a complete new system. i hope i can get a 5090.
Hold on to your RTX 4090. This GPU will go for years from now. My next build will probably have the ARTX 8090 in it by 2030.
I would assume that any buyer who can afford an RTX 5090 can also afford a house fire suppression system.
Wait for the reviews. Maybe even wait for the technology to mature a generation.
The 1,999 isn’t a realistic price it’s going to be 2500+ everywhere
4090 will be moving to the living Room 5090 will be powering the Ultrawide in the PC studio!
I have a 3080 don’t know what to do
I plan on upgrading from 6750xt to either a 5080 or 9070
Yes, just like when you sold your 2080Ti thinking you were going to buy a 3080 at MSRP.
I'm sticking with my lenovo legion 5 pro laptop with rtx 3070 with lossless scaling in use when needed😎
you don't know what lossless is.
I am keeping my 4090 and getting a 5090 when its in stock which could be months. The scalpers will probably buy them all up.
I want to see the blender benchmarks before buying
I'm planning on upgrading from the 3080 FE to 5080 FE.
I think the 5080 TI will have 18GB RAM
