Thank you Sean for another great video 📺! 💡 Just an idea 💡
*I think that, maybe, if you would make some smaller items such as ornaments or coasters or some sort of trinkets,(or wooden postcards)you could sell a lot of them. I know, I for one, would love to have a little piece of France 🇨🇵 and your handy work. If it's something smaller it would be less expensive and I think more of us could purchase them. If you made wooden postcards, you could get a stamp of the cottage and dip it in ink to decorate the front...I hope that's helpful. I so enjoy watching your videos and want to show support however I can. 😊🙏🌟💝💐

You could try a fundraiser live stream, highlighting the favorite items in your shop. Honestly I’m better at saving than gaining money 😂 but getting a live commercial in the garden with the fam would probably be much enjoyed. Also I’m not sure if you have a wishlist for your fans to purchase necessary items you may need. Some people are more comfortable gifting things you need than donating so it might be worth looking into. That could definitely help with materials. That’s all I can think of right now. I do hope it’s helpful.✌️💗

In the past the render was limewashed so that light was reflected into the inside space. They did this at the new castle south of Paris. I think the name is Guerdilon. It made a considerable difference to the light. This also goes very well at smoothing a rendered wall surface.

A quick google search and putting some numbers in online calculators tells me one 2 Franc Français coin was worth the equivalent of 90-95 euros in today's money. So, by the looks of it, that wasn't just some change, but quite a stash. If it was still worth that much, you could've bought some materials with it 😜

I recognised some of the coins. coins with a hole can be put on a string. 1000 per string would be about 10 lbs and traded for value of $1k give or take the region and politics and the cut the stringer kept for stringing so some may only be 970 per string. Chinese cash coins originated from the barter of farming tools and agricultural surpluses. Around 1200 BC, smaller token spades, hoes, and knives began to be used to conduct smaller exchanges with the tokens later melted down to produce real farm implements. These tokens came to be used as media of exchange themselves and were known as spade money and knife money. They are still a form of currency or the material to make knives and spades of equivalent or higher value. I have 2 that a friend gave me, in the 1970's they were still circulating as currency. I believe they are the oldest form of currency in the world - everyone should recognise them immediately in my opinion. If your coins are made of copper and you had a 10 lb string it would be worth 35 Euros. You might have just enough there for a cup of coffee. String them up and hang them in your shop for good luck!

I had to close my Etsy shop this year and put all my merch in a local shop near me because i couldn’t even waste my time creating listings anymore because the shop just died and wasn’t bringing anything in. I went from $1000 a month or more to $0 overnight. For a little side hustle it just wasn’t worth all the energy and subsequent failure. A lot of Etsy shop owners have just opened their own shops through Shopify because its easier, they don’t pay Etsy fees and it’s just a better experience for everyone involved. I’m so sorry Sean, I totally feel your pain. Ironically I did my BEST during the pandemic, so weird!

I'm building a brand new home in America and I can't believe the costs of materials, the wait time and the interest rates are climbing and climbing. It's sad though that there is no creativity in construction anymore. My home is custom but we will never have the detail and beauty of the wood working etc. I watch your channel and Billy's along with all his friends channels, to learn how I can modify my home myself once it is built. I want to add crown molding, trim work etc. We have almost 40 C here in America this week. But what is nice we do not have the humidity in the Pacific Northwest.

Sean, I love seeing this project. It's always fascinating seeing the way the old buildings were made. If it was me, my arm would be wimpering with fatigue.
You always do such a thorough job of getting it done right.
Looking forward to the next instalment.
I must say whenever you say you're
stopping for a cup of tea, I always what one too. 😁
    Cheers

Interesting to hear different times people are watching your video around the world. It'll be out at 2:30 pm in Ontario Canada 😊
