Every comment you receive from The Wolfpack will tell you that this is a once in several generations band. Unique in that they formed out of the bassist’s desire for a Maiden sound, coupled with a much heavier sound that she loves but is only now played by increasingly old men…no insult to those old men intended. I take it that you chopped a few frames from the video to get around copyright, because I’ve heard this song so many times I can tell you which notes were missing! They are incapable of making a bad, even mediocre song. They either do epic or masterpiece. Holy War won a fan vote for the “best of album” as best song (though the label did want a fair mix of tracks) but out of coming up to fifty tracks, Holy War isn’t in the top Half of a league table, if I were forced at gunpoint to produce one. They are also only capable of excellence when it comes to live performances. Most songs are indistinguishable from the studio originals, and a good many are better. I’ve seen the greats, I’m 62. This, I’m telling you with a straight face, is the best, most complete band I have ever heard. And you couldn’t hope to find nicer, more engaging (or more beautiful) human beings in the whole music industry. I totally adore this band.
When Miho formed the band her goal was to play Irom Maiden style music, because she was a big fan.thet even have a few songs that sound exactly like Iron Maiden songs, one that comes to mind reminds me of Aces High.

@@NormandyGaming Completely agree, the talent in this single band is just unreal. To be brutally honest, their talent both individually and as a whole is bar none...and it's not even close in most cases. I know many will argue there are many great drummers, all in Japan (ironically), but Haruna TO ME is the best. And anyone who says there's a better duo than Midori / Miyako, isn't paying attention to what they're doing quite frankly. They have set the bar so high that you just come to expect it EVERY song. Have seen many musicians react to them saying they wish they could play like that and have heard others turned off by them claiming they "shred too much" lmao. If you like metal in its purest form, you will love everything about them!
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html. Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
I second Swan Song with chopin intro for your next Lovebites reaction. For non-generic sounding bands Japan really is the place to look for, I'd like to introduce you to Hanabie with the song "we love sweets", the title is sweet but the song is spicy.

They're a better Iron Maiden. As you react to more, it will be clear how much better they are!!. Next; "Set the World on Fire"" and "Swan Song with Chopin Etude". Fun Fact; Final engineering and production is done in Finland by the same team that does Nightwish.
Welcome NG. Glad you like them... So much more to see, don't leave it too long please.. Take a look at Raise some hell live next.. It's awesome. I have another one for you.. Also from Japan, also all ladies, relatively new, but very good.. The band is Hagane, the song is Super villan, here is the link th-cam.com/video/MCqzm0nUxbM/w-d-xo.html Almost 7 minutes of awesomeness Best wishes from France..
No offense but it is Dickinson not Dickerson, anyway you are among the few that gets it right while everyone else compares them to dragon force or slayer. Great catch in getting Iron Maiden vibes.
Great review!! Yes, she is Bruce Dickinson in a white dress. They even have Steve Harris in a white dress as well. They even play an homage to Aces High, a tune called The Crusade. th-cam.com/video/0guewPdnrKQ/w-d-xo.html All these members compose, write, arrange, and play all their songs except three insanely great cover songs BTW.
100% a better/heavier Iron Maiden!! My all time favorite band with over 50+ years of metal behind me. Miyako (right) & Midori (left) are the best lead guitar duo going today, if not ever...and I mean that absolutely.
No. It just a new way I'm tried recording these because the sound keeps getting messed up with my recordings. Everything looked fine when I recorded it but then when I went to edit it was like this. I don't want to rerecord because I want to be honest with you guys. Just me trying to figure out how to get my recording equipment to work properly. Got something new to try when I record next week that will hopefully resolve both issues.
I want to go to your comment on the U.S. making "generic" metal music.. In a way, yes, you are correct, but at the same time, you are wrong.. Everyone knows who Slipknot, Korn and Limp Bizkit are.. Nobody has any idea who Aether Realm, Seven Kingdoms, Savage Messiah, Theocracy, Starkill, Mindmaze, Wilderun, Graveshadow, Nekrogoblikon, Winterhymnor Lords of the Trident is.. With that being said, I have created a playlist of music videos of all unknown U.S. bands. (It's a playlist in progress) th-cam.com/play/PLMVX0LYxOdWRKZpSK4TzVJwM7NVIrIfDl.html
Wanna grow?? Lose the 4:4 and convert to 16:9. Also, there is a lot of "deadspace" on the left. Maybe move over there and enlarge the screen for us. Otherwise, good soundlevels! And good reaction... Much love!
Are you talking about the music video itself? It has something to do with the way I recorded it. Been having trouble with the sound skipping and tried something new for this week's stuff. Instead I got 4:4 and it still skipped so that didn't work. I got something new I'm trying next week. I have another camera that's higher quality but zooms way in on my face. In your opinion would that be better for spacing?
Yes, Iron Maiden but faster, heavier and cleaner. Sacrilege? Play them back to back with some Iron Maiden clips and you'll see. It's not a slam on Iron Maiden. Medicine, automobiles, technology and every other field of human endeavor progress and improve. Why not metal?
"Tokyo DiverCity" is pronounced "Tokyo diversity", NOT three seperate words, "Tokyo Diver City" (there is no such place, lol). It's a play on the word that's really freakin' out the tin-foil hat Qanon crowd. LMFAO!!! The Japanese are proud of their positivity and diversity as a country, and they're really good with English language word-play.

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
SOLO: midori
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
SOLO: miyako / midori / both
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
I love getting comments like this that inform me of so much!
@@NormandyGaming Enjoy the ride this is one of the greatest musical acts ever.
If you like anime, Lovebites has a video to their song Wimds of Transylvania, this is their most Slayer sounding song.
Break the Wall is their most Slayer sounding song IMO, but Winds of Transylvania is good too.

I second Swan Song with chopin intro for your next Lovebites reaction.
For non-generic sounding bands Japan really is the place to look for, I'd like to introduce you to Hanabie with the song "we love sweets", the title is sweet but the song is spicy.
That's actually already recorded edited and uploaded. I think it drops on Sunday or Monday I wanna say
The hanabie reaction to be clear...I was surprised there's wasn't even a copyright claim on it
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em

This Band has no peer.
They're a better Iron Maiden. As you react to more, it will be clear how much better they are!!.
Next; "Set the World on Fire"" and "Swan Song with Chopin Etude".
Fun Fact; Final engineering and production is done in Finland by the same team that does Nightwish.
Swan song has been recommended a few times. Adding to the list.
@@NormandyGaming Another vote for Set the World on Fire, and add Thunder Vengeance to the list.
Welcome.
🤘🎸🐺🎸🤘Wolfpack💙✊🤘
Welcome NG. Glad you like them... So much more to see, don't leave it too long please.. Take a look at Raise some hell live next.. It's awesome.
I have another one for you.. Also from Japan, also all ladies, relatively new, but very good..
The band is Hagane, the song is Super villan, here is the link th-cam.com/video/MCqzm0nUxbM/w-d-xo.html Almost 7 minutes of awesomeness
Best wishes from France..
Nice! Thank you so much adding to the list
@@NormandyGaming Thanks man, look forward to your reaction.. Best wishes
No offense but it is Dickinson not Dickerson, anyway you are among the few that gets it right while everyone else compares them to dragon force or slayer. Great catch in getting Iron Maiden vibes.
Lmao my bad definitely mispronounced that
Great review!! Yes, she is Bruce Dickinson in a white dress. They even have Steve Harris in a white dress as well. They even play an homage to Aces High, a tune called The Crusade. th-cam.com/video/0guewPdnrKQ/w-d-xo.html
All these members compose, write, arrange, and play all their songs except three insanely great cover songs BTW.
Nice! I will check it out!
Nice my favorite of lovebites is Swan Song. Pd = pls react to gacharic spin mindset 🙏
I'll add it to the list!
@@NormandyGaming Do the MV it will make you feel on top of the world.. here is the link th-cam.com/video/QmL0V667QzI/w-d-xo.html
100% a better/heavier Iron Maiden!! My all time favorite band with over 50+ years of metal behind me.
Miyako (right) & Midori (left) are the best lead guitar duo going today, if not ever...and I mean that absolutely.
Actually it's Bruce Nodickison.
You don't need to do that to the aspect ratio.
Are you trying to make them taller?
Swan Song Chopin
I was speaking in generalities but yeah. Thanks for sharing the playlist I'll check it out
Wanna grow??
@@NormandyGaming Keep the camera, fix the software.
Keep up the good work 😃
Is Bruce 4 feet 10 no then it’s not him.
