    Great video 👍. Exactly the way my fuego was. Quite an interesting design haha. Tinkering and tuning reels is so much fun 😁👍.

      Glad you enjoyed! I wished i jumped on the Fuego Band Wagon when it was cheap on Amazon. I could have tuned that one too >_< but yeah these reels are great! Since CDM reels are all about shoving a shallow spool on their normal sized BC reels, the Tatula is a perfect candidate given it's a small low profile reel! I can't imagine doing the Tatula TW.. even smaller at size 32 MM Spool vs this/Fuego at 34mm!

      What bearings did you use on your Fuego? I want to upgrade my bearings, spool and drag but I can only find parts for the Tatula.

  • @Sum1Fishy
    @Sum1Fishy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    With the smaller bearings, it takes less inertia to get them spinning. If you use heavier lures, it "burns" up the bearing- meaning it will over heat them and that will reduce casting and can cause permanent damage to the bearing if they get gouged. Ceramic bearings will continue their inertia longer so once they get going, they spin longer.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't think that would ever happen in reel tho ya? Like one would put thus reel on heavy rod and throw a super heavy lure.. and likely will run out of line before it can even generate that much rpm to damage the balls. At least not in a bfs reel.

    • @Sum1Fishy
      @Sum1Fishy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rawrfishing yeah that's the theory but I personally never worked on reel with heat damage. I worked at a tackle store by the beach all we seen was salt corrosion.

    What do you think about the fixed inductor spool vs the chameleon DIY spool? Is it better to hvae the fixed inductor or be able to use the mag z-force brake with light lures?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My roro spool for this reel (fixed inductor cup) was a bust. I have several videos of it earlier this year. Backlash galore and the gap for this reel and the spool didn't work out. the gap was too big and i kept getting the line into the reel. Now for my Daiwa Alphas Air TW, the roro spool is pretty awesome. So it's mixed feelings so far. But this spool so far is performing beautifully for the past few sessions. As per the end of my video, this reel sits above every CDM BFS reel up to date. but of course, the cost is much higher!

    Long time fan man. Quick question for you. I got the Ray's bearings for my tsurinoya spirit fox. Does the placement for these follow the same rule for the spirit fox too? Flush towards spool and flush against spool?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      awesome man! I was just following instructions from the Roro website on how to install their bearings! I don't think or believe that it would normally matter, but that's not my area of expertise. But i can tell you that the SpiritFox is fun with the upgrade :) much needed for the heavy spool!

      @@majorlazer83 Unfortunately, I am not familiar with that reel so I don' t know what is available on the market. I would think you can do some finesse fishing with that reel. It really sucks that GoPro is heavily used for TH-cam video productions, yet they don't communicate what the actual needs are. If we all can record on 4k, we would all do it because YT does a great job scaling down to lower res. But since i can't and won't, i was hoping i could at least do 2k... but looks like it won't happen!

    Hi Jimmy, I noticed something in these roro's from aliexpress. The first impression is that they spins very well, only it seems that they came lub with a extra-fine oil because after a fishing trip, the water came in to the bearing and it starts to turn less, and when you are doing maintenance and cleaning the bearings it doesn't spin like before. So I believe they come from the factory with some specific high performance oil, the problem is that I didn't find any here, do you know of any that sells on Aliexpress? Are your zephyr roro like that too? Nice video my friend Thanks :D

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a very interesting finding. What do you used to clean it? I haven't cleaned mine nor taken em apart. I would run them dry if I cleaned them. But all I have at home are some old school quantum hot sauce. Haven't really gotten a chance to try some new school stuff. I can make a post I guess for best bearing oil in the Facebook group I guess. I wanna buy stuff eventually for winter cleaning

    • @marcusfelipe7479
      @marcusfelipe7479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rawrfishing I use lighter fluid or benzine, some also use kerosene. I saw that it is some of the liquids that are recommended for cleaning hybrid ceramic bearings and micro bearings. I never had any problems cleaning the bearings with these liquids, for ceramic and micro i don't use oil but for ordinary bearings I put a drop of oil lub or use silicone spray, the silicone makes the bearing lubricated too and much loose than with oil, the silicone it does not create a 'paste' inside the bearing, leaving it more run free. But these roro's after i clean them they run well but not like before, and after a fishing trip they are practically without any rotation.Try to make a test, use them and in the middle of your fishing open the reel and try to rotate the spool bearing to see if it continues to run well.

    • @marcusfelipe7479
      @marcusfelipe7479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rawrfishing if the quantum hot sauce was very thin, I believe it helps in the rotation of the micro bearings, do a test with a droplet, if it doesn't work, just clean it with benzine, lighter fluid or kerosene.

      Okay you sound like you done everything right. Now I am super curious on how these bearings will perform if I use it a lot and then take it out to clean. Now are both bearings like that or is it just one? It's so odd to see that happening. I do have a contact from roro, so hopefully they can help us understand their products more

      About Marcus Felipe comment:
      Please let him to read this information first, to know more about how to do maintenance Roro Spool Bearings: rorolure.com/blogs/rorolure-studio/5-steps-to-clean-roro-spool-bearings-for-baitcasting-reel
      To keep high performance, after cleaning,
      for the ceramic ball bearings don’t need to add any oil on it.
      For stainless steel bearings, must be re-lubricated after washing. We don’t sell any oil, please could refer this link, the oil is very good for stainless steel bearings:
      japantackle.com/tools-and-others/grease-oil/to000244.html
      I read the article and doesn't look too off about what most of us do. Since my bearings are still working, i'll continue to use it until end of season before I take it apart, clean it and reinstall.
