Bane looks tremendous. Elbows having barely any bend is a huge pet peeve of mine, I wanna bend his arms! Cmonnnn, but he does have a great look though. Batman, meh.
Yeah The Thumbnail Of Bane And Batman is Very Funny! it’s Like They’re Both Taking A Photo After A Physical Brawl,Like A Advertised Comic Screenshot😂😂🤣🤣🤣.
I immediately repainted my Batman and removed all of the battle damaged paint deco. I also swapped out the head and painted it in classic comic colors, complete with the shadow across his forehead and the blacked out trunks. He looks way better as a standard Batman. Perfect for that Bronze Age era Batman that really hasn’t been done right until now. (With plenty of modifications to be sure)
I'm honestly a little happy the battle damage is painted on for Batman, means I could remove it or paint over it without there being a weird sculpt issue. I'm probably in the minority here but that's an unintended plus for me. That Bane is awesome, just what I wanted for the character.
@@marvinonstage Just what I was thinking, but aren't the grays and blues a little different between them? I'm not big on the head used here, too zombie-like like Anthony said but the OG Knightfall is perfect. I only really wanted the cape lmao
I'm going to checknto see if the Batman that comes with the Bruce Wayne head will work. Having this beat up Batman with the other cowel might look better or this beat up Batman with the Bruce Wayne head sitting in the Batcave exhausted after a big battle could work too.
I gotta say, I wanted this for Bane. Got it on a discount with a code, so only paid 60. Your reviews are always the ones I go for, unbiased amd your setup is always top notch
Really good Bane, hopefully we can get it alone and without the "comic" paint, which in his case does not look so bad, but none of my collection have it, so I will prefer a normal paint. Maybe it will be too big to pair it with the mafex line.
I don't trip about the art on the box. Todd just takes the coolest picture. But if you open up a graphic novel you'll see that the figure represents the characters pretty well. I do agree about the cape. Man it's too thick. Todd could have done a silky material to get that blue metallic shien but with a much more flowy material instead of stiff material
Great review! I'm looking forward to this two pack. I really like the colors they went with for this Batman, though I wish they gave us an alternate head.
I think… and this is just a theory… the cape is a reflective material to try to replicate the heavy shading “comic style” paint job, the same way the No Way Home Spider-Man suit uses a reflective blue material, but it just really does not work here
I expected Anthony to rip this a new one. Considering this is such an iconic moment, this doesn't measure up. Did I buy it? Yes. Do I love it? No. And that travesty of a Batman is the reason. Looks like a damn zombie, not a beat-up human, and the "battle damage" paint is irrefutably dumb. (Torn cloth only casts shadows outside a tear? Major tears in the suit, but not even a scratch on the underlying skin?) And in what universe would Batman wear a cape made out of the kind of material you'd use in a bridesmaid dress?
I let the white knuckles pass because the mask has white paint details that itty bitty detail will suffice. I wish the fore arms swiveled since they equipped him with claw hands and clinched fist. I mean it's a muscle bound mega figure. I would pose that particular Batman to look as dead as possible in the clutches of Bane on the shelf.
I'm definitely getting this set. I missed the first Bane and was pretty disappointed because it looked amazing and is extremely expensive on the aftermarket now. I can take or leave the Batman. He's fine in my opinion. Nothing great but nothing horrible. That Bane is absolutely the reason I'm buying this.
This time the artwork for this on that back shouldn't matter since thats just a civer art for the Knightfall issue. Bane never was shirtless during that scene when he fought Batman abd broke his back in the batcave. The two pack is good but i dislike the shading on Batman even the color blue since that actually doesn't match to comics plus felt it was lazy to just paint the cut marks and suit tears on his versus just sculpting the cut marks and tears
The New Mcfarlane 'Classic' Darkseid will be coming out soon if not Already. You got my support as always! Can't wait for a review of that. Otherwise, Jada, Storm, nd Hasbro Legends are my fav of ur content Anthony. Keep it up bro🫡
I had the "preorder remorse" for this two-pack. The Batman kept scaring me away from wanting it. But the Bane just looks TOO good to pass up. He's an amazing figure. So he's perfect figure to be the center of my Bat Family (Batgirl: Cass, Robin: Tim, Signal, and Red Hood) fighting him.
Great job as always, Anthony💪Have you ever concidered to review the Fondjoy Batflek figure? It is amazing and it ain't bootleg, it is actually licensed figure😊
The complaints about the cape make me laugh. When Jean Paul Valley took over as Batman, he purposely changed the cape because he felt it was too unwieldy, bulky and liability. So it’s very true to the comics….from a certain point of view.
Look.... that one dude was right! When you did the mafex Bane reveiw, I said how I didn't like it and some crap taller said something like "...then go get the oversized, peice of crap, McFarlane Bane figure then." I respond, "Okay. Perhaps I will." Todd made a good one, for a change. McFarlane vs. Mafex, in this one, is zero contest imo. It just looks way better. Mafex obviously is gonna have better articulation, but how articulated does Bane really have to be? Sik
I just got 3 of my first figures with wired capes at the same time and was very disappointed - the material is weird. It does not stretch, drape, or do a figure any good except being able to pose. I honestly now prefer unwired material capes, partially because i can tear it easier and put a decent material there myself
Thanks for your efforts on this review Anthony. Your lighting and audio are perfect from Canada. I fudge the big guys on my display using "artistic license" to have the larger figures with the others. Having these intimidating figures with the "floating scale" of ML can work. "Cheap ass people" bwahahaha. So true. So accurate. Why do companies make 2-packs containing a desired with a non-desired figures? Is it just me or wouldn't profits be more resounding if these cheap-ass people would make a decent 2-pack? Thanks for your review. Basement. I know, I know - you'd rather talk about anything else. @@AnthonysCustoms my bad Anthony, I’m having a terrible Mandela Effect moment. I thought I saw it on the Target app, nope! Just got back from my local Target (part of my daily walk) and nope there. My bad. 🫤
I have this 2-pack. The bane is awesome, definitely my favorite bane figure… but the Batman sucks! I think if you’re going to do a wired cape, the material needs to be different, specifically not as thick and stiff. Also, on mine, the ankle was half off the peg in the box. I managed to reconnect it, but now it’s floppy as heck and the figure can barely stand in dynamic poses because of it (not that it would’ve been able to do that to begin with, but still). Ah McFarlane toys…
Batmans face looks like hes been hitting the tanning bed a little too much. I dont know if the blue is too light or the gray is too dark, or the yellow is too bright, or all 3. Glad to see a cloth cape, but for me it is a fail in both appearance and the thickness/material.
Bane looks great. My only complaint is that the blue "shading" looks like it's a design on his costume. If I get it I'll repaint the suit and just add subtle blue shading with an airbrush
@@PeterTennantyeah and this guy is too big for knightfall😂 I’d rather pair the mafex bane with any mafex Batman, besides they are different scales. This bane isn’t bad tho would buy it if it came with bicep swivel and double joint bicep imo

I'm fine with the battle damage but if they were gonna do it why make his cape perfectly intact when it clearly gets ripped in the comic? Bane is pretty cool though. I think his torso tapers a bit too much but it’s fine. The white knuckles are accurate btw, to the issue where he breaks Batman's back and the cliffhanger from the issue before at least
