Thunderbirds FAB 1 Rolls Royce.

Gerry Anderson passed away yesterday (26th December 2012), as a tribute to Gerry, I thought I would share with you some film that I took of FAB 1, the Rolls Royce from Thunderbirds. In THUNDERBIRDS the series, Parker the chauffer drove Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward about. This full size replica was created (based on a Bedford) to publicise the film THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO! I shot the film in 1991 at a car show where they had a number of TV cars on display, Bond's Aston Martin DB5 (tricked up version), Emma Peel's Lotus Elan and The Saint's Volvo P1800 S. I will upload those at a later date. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the clip. R.I.P. Gerry.

Lovely to get a glimpse, if only a fleeting one, at the end of the video of the 'Saint's Volvo'. Especially interested as I own a 1966 1800S.

@@keefster001 They are getting quite a rarity these days. There's one under wraps in SE London, but I haven't the cheek to lift it and explore further - and the state of the house doesn't fill me with the confidence to knock and enquire!! Thanks for uploading the video. Pete

Thank you for the comment. I don't know if the car still exists, I did Google it and found a web site where you could hire a SIMILAR looking car for weddings etc.

The second time I went to Keswick I wanted to see this car again. The museum had closed down and a note in the window said it had moved to Miami. Same as those notes in shop windows that say "we've moved across the road". As though you could just pop across to Miami on the next bus.

Thanks for sharing. I saw this car at the Keswick Museum, 'Cars of the stars'.
This Museum is sadly now closed. The collection of many famous film & TV cars, including all the James Bond cars, were sold to a collector in America. They are all now available to be seen as part of The Dezer collection.
