You can live like a king if you make three thousand dollars plus a month in Brazil. And Brazil has come a long way in the last two decades. The quality of life is improving steadily.
If I could choose any country to grow up in as a baby it would be Brazil or Australia. Brazilians are excellent parents in general. Children grow up to value family and community and are self confident without being arrogant. They have a great diet, grow up on the beach, and active lifestyles, virtually no childhood obesity. What more could a child ask for!!
im brazilian, grew up there, and i can say you are absolutely right, i had a wonderful childhood, always playing outside, always surrounded by friends and family, i´m 35 and i don´t take care of myself, 10 years smoking, drinking and no exercise, and my health is great, i´m never sick, no flu, no covid, no allergies, no headeaches, no nothing, but i know i have to change lifestyle, i am positive that it´s because my childhood, my mother never gave me any pills, if i had a fever she would just take my temperature often and tell me to sleep it of, if i had a flu i would take garlic and lemon tea, and so on...
You are a very nice couple. It's really cool to watch your videos about my country. I'm from São Paulo and I like videos like yours that demystify the idea that it's a violent place.
I’ve been loving your videos! I’m from São Paulo and I love seeing people from other countries enjoying the city. Every time I go back to Brazil I fill my suitcase with havaianas haha. I also write down all the foods I’m going to eat while I’m there because we definitely don’t get the fruit variety here in the U.S. my favorite thing is always pastel com Caldo de cana.
I watched you guys for the first time in this video and I became a huge fan! Thank you for showing Brazil the way it really is!!! Next time try Florianópolis, in the south!!! Amazing family!!
I think Ivana got the idea about security, it depends on where you are... We´ve had bad moments in the past, I think the situation has improved in recent years though, you just need to stick to normal neighborhoods and you will be ok. I also have some concerns in the old downtown, but due to all the homeless there, as they cause problems sometimes, a bit like what happens in the subway in Toronto, but I feel like society in São Paulo is trying to bring the city center back to life, it suffered for decades with decadency and people and businees moving to other areas of the city, crimes rising, but I see things changing now. Other than that you won´t see many security issues.

When it comes to safety São Paulo may not a paradise but there are a lot of cities in Brazil and even in USA with a rate of homocides way higher than São Paulo. Just don't go to neighborhoods that are too far from the center city or if the streets start to become ugly, there might be pickpockets
You are definitely not crazy for bringing a baby to São Paulo. It's perfectly fine. My only complaint, having done the same thing, was that I couldn't really enjoy much of the city because of him. But my kid was much older then. 10 months. It's a very different age. I love São Paulo. Also, nah dude, groups making complex choreography in public definitely rehearsed beforehand :P
#JetFam I suggest you move to São José dos Campos. It's one hour from São Paulo, one hour from Campos do Jordão (the Mantiqueira mountain range, where temperatures drop below zero in winter) and one hour from the northern coast of São Paulo (Ilhabela, Caraguatatuba, Ubatuba). It's a phenomenal city, with phenomenal education, health and security.
@@perigozin11campinas is dirty and dangerous compared to Sao Jose dos Campos. Sjc is a smart city, clean, safe, closer from the sea, from SP, from the mountains. Tough to even compare.
And yeah, people in Brazil eat dinner mostly between 7 pm and 8 pm. And if you are going out, then I'd say anything between 7 30 pm to 9 pm. Regarding safety, if you are in any capital/big city it depends on the area, some are pretty safe, others nope. Just be alert, especially with your phones. The countryside is way more safe.
If you liked Paulista Avenue, you’ll probably love Minhocão. It’s closed to cars all weekend. There, you can see a lot of street art. It’s an elevated road, so it feels like you’re walking at the height of the buildings. Really cool.
To reassure you, the homicide rate in São Paulo is 5.11 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, lower than that of Canada, which is 5.37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
São Paulo is a safe city compared to the most dangerous places in Brazil. Compared to the US, São Paulo is as Safe as New York, it has crime, but you probably won't be caught on a cross fire.
"Around 50 thousand children and teenagers go missing every year in Brazil" first result on Google. So, stop with the fake news @kay_yaa
I wonder how you'll react when you finally visit the Amazon and try your first bowl of savory açaí. I met a number of people from Pará in college (that's an Amazonian state, huge producer and traditional consumer of açaí before it was cool, btw), and they all found the sweet, guaraná-infused version we favor further south disgusting.
6pm is too early for dinner in Brazil. Most brazilians are having a snack or a "café da tarde" at that time. We usually eat dinner like 8 or 9 pm. Sometimes even later, especially in summertime because the sun doesn't go down until after 7pm, so for our biological clock it's still afternoon.
By the looks of the apartments that they were looking for. And shopping on Oscar Freire. I think they would fit as class B here in Brazil and São Paulo. It will be a very secure and stable life for them. Hope everything works out.

Campinas is better.
I think they've been to Campos do Jordão already
Come to São José dos Campos-SP, we have a lot of cultural places
Visit Curitiba to see if you like. May be a good place to move to, depending on your vibe.
@@perigozin11campinas is dirty and dangerous compared to Sao Jose dos Campos. Sjc is a smart city, clean, safe, closer from the sea, from SP, from the mountains. Tough to even compare.
Six stars for you and the tiny beautiful baby.

Commenting Again because baby Jean is So Adorable 🥰
Love you guys!!

Why did you go there if you have doubt.
São Paulo is a safe city compared to the most dangerous places in Brazil. Compared to the US, São Paulo is as Safe as New York, it has crime, but you probably won't be caught on a cross fire.
Actually those dance moves are uploaded on our brains when we are born here in Brazil, its on one of those core shots we have to give to our babies.
About 50 thousands children goes missing in Canada per year, while in Brazil is less than half of that. I don't understand what is this title about 🤔
Concordo plenamente!
They are clearly desperate for content. If they were so worried, they would have never brought their child.
"Around 50 thousand children and teenagers go missing every year in Brazil" first result on Google. So, stop with the fake news @kay_yaa
Jean is so cute! Congratulations! 💖
A Lhama in São Paulo certainly is not common. This animal is from Andes
Pineapple pizza: always no. But we have it some places, and we call it "California" instead of Hawaian
The baby will be fine, most likely you might get your camera and phones stolen for walking with them on the streets.
the new camera angles look good!
- A phrase that defines Brazilians...among many... "Don't give them an inch!"
What a great trip to Brazil with baby Jean. Oh gosh, she's such a good girl, not fussy at all and that pair of baby flip flops is so super cute. I would get it too as souvenir. Safe travels guys !!
Unfortunately, even Brazilians have misconceptions about Brazil.
Misconception lmao Come down to earth

Born and raised in Vila Pompeia - West Side São Paulo City (near Palmeiras stadium). You are delivering to the world what we call 'open gated community' - this part of the city we found Oscar Freire, Paulista, Jardins, Perdizes, Pompeia, Pinheiros, Butantã, Vila Leopoldina, Vila Madalena and so many more districts that everyone has a friend on each part of it. One of the best places to live worldwide. It has Brazilian and Paulistano lifestyle surround by worldwide street culture.
You guys should go to Ubatuba my friends
Muitooo legallll sampa cityyyyy

It's great to see you guys just two blocks from where I live. The Mequi (McDonald's) is very close to my home.
My view of Paulista on a Sunday. I don't worry because the number of people makes me feel safe. I'm aware of what I'm doing and I watch out for my phone. But, what worries me are empty streets. Paulista on Sunday is full of families.
And even after two years of living here I still can't get used to eating pizza with a knife and fork. I don't think I ever will.
