I love my ti. Got a Alpine white 97 with the 5 speed. Also has 240k miles 😂 these engines are bulletproof
I bought it for 500$. Owner got a new car and believed it had a blown head gasket. Check compression and the head gasket and both tested great. Needed a radiator and thermostat and good as new.

Have you done a leak down test on the red ti? My e36 had two burnt exhaust valves that weren’t sitting properly. Changed head with a spare and got compression back. These motors are easy to work on. You will need the camshaft locking plate for timing and flywheel wheel pin.
Lvk 408 I actually just got in the camshaft blocks today haha. You’re probably right. I think someone tried to get in there before and messed something up. I’ll take a look and see what I can do. Thanks for the info brother 👍

get two m50s or m52s and swap 'em both. maybe the motor from that e39 that's too far gone?

I have a '95 M42, I am currently re-shelling my e36 but Id be open to a motor trade if you have a usable motor hanging around that you wanna get rid of, Im in the New England area of the U.S.
Save the 5 speed, interior and junk the rest. Rebuild the red ti 😁
