Download 2006!!! DOWN were the first band I seen at Donington, I still remember hearing this live like it was yesterday. Phil's rant at the beginning was legendary so I'm lucky my ears got to hear this live. Hot fucking day it was as well!

Remember this so well, rumours were going round the campsite that they’d be playing in the morning. Because if I remember correctly they weren’t on the bill originally there just “???” And there were a lot of rumours as to it would be.
Still the best download I've been to....the aftershock tent was an experience 🤣...the bouncers spraying aftershock down your throat with a super soaker in the que 🤣
Epic performance. Phil's vocal performance was better when they played Donnington in 2009. But i like the audio mix of the instruments in this video more.

I was lucky enough to see Down open for Metallica in New Orleans. I didn't know a single song, but now i'm wishing I did because I could have enjoyed them so much more.
Phil really demands a big response from the audience. Heard stories that he would stop the show if he didn't get what he wanted from a crowd and throw temper tantrums. Is any of this true?
I discovered that he was saying the same thing at every festival. It's embarrassing really. It would have inspired me to throw bottles of urine at him. He certainly wasn't looking for violence when he was in a jacuzzi all day in Newport whilst in Pantera while roadies were trying to score smack for him. True story.
It is inspiring to me for Phil to stop in front of all those people and say that if you fight him, then you will lose. Do you think that he chose the rose in a whiskey bottle, or do you think he chose Brutus?
