Great stuff. It was lovely walking with you guys for a couple of hours, and yes, the high level route was magnificent! Thanks for including us in this instalment. Really enjoyed catching up with your previous adventures, and look forward to future exploits (especially the Iceland saga…!)
Tom, fair play cracking on having been stung like that. You are definitely a power couple. Both of you are interesting solo to watch, but when together that's the magic! Bravo guys, you remain my favourite van life couple.
Tom you are the man no doubt. Anyone who has been stung by a wasp will definitely not forget it but to be stung by so many jeez I don’t know how you do it I’m glad that Izzy was with you she is a mighty girl and would keep anyone going 👍🏻🇮🇪☘️
Wow Tom , some people would have said they’ve had enough after getting stung by all the wasps. Your willpower is astounding and with Izzy by your side doing her singing and dancing takes your mind off the pain for a while. You’re always guaranteed a laugh 😂 with Izzy keeps your spirits up. Well done to you both. 😊
Impressive commitment. The Bee stings was a shocking thing to see. Well done and thankyou for sharing your journeys and the stunning countryside with us.
Tom, you poor love. I got stung last year and couldn't believe the pain. I honestly don't know how you coped with multiple stings. Glad Iz was with you. Be safe. Hope the rest of your walk is blessed. Have a great week. 🙏💚💫🌸
Awh Tom dear love you... The stings looked really bad... You certainly have been pushed to the limit with trials on the walk... So glad Isabel was with you... Just take care... You are amazing.. Love to you both... From Rosemary in Belfast
Wow, Tom, you poor bugger. But a massive thumbs up for continuing 👏 👍 you legend. With Izzy looking after you and by your side you will smash this challenge 💪
It was good that the paramedics were able to give you the all clear. I will always be so thankful for the NHS. Definitely come back and explore the Scottish Borders more. Find Melrose Abbey. That is where Robert the Bruce's heart is buried.
You two are amazing . Tom you could see how much pain that you were in , wasp stings hurt like he'll. Well done , it's good to see the funny side of falling ❤
Omg Tom, that would have been extremly painful, l have been stung twice at kne time by wasps, not lots like you. I am glad Izz is alongside you for a while, good luck, love from your Aussie friend.
Oh Tom - feeling for you, with those wasps - very glad they gave you the OK. I spent the last 2 days in hospital and can assure you it's not the place to be! Oh yes, and Iceland is definitely your kind of place - you'd both love it
Crikey, well done guys.. Tom what on earth!! How did you carry on with horrendous wasp stings.. You and Izzy always so positive. Through the rough and smooth. Thank you so much for sharing with with us.. 😎👣
Tom you are great to keep going after all them wasp stings, great that lizzy was with you for some moral support. Definitely put Iceland on your bucket list well worth a visit an amazing country. Best wishes from the copper Coast ireland 🇮🇪
Wow Tom, so sorry that you got stung so badly. Glad that you were given the all clear. It’s nice to see the both of you walking together. That Bothy was a great place to stop. Take care. Nick
Thanks, guys for showing such beautiful countryside, you are so lucky with the week ahead. The weather will be sunny and warm no rain whatsoever going into next week. Just a very settled spell ahead for you both.
It's crazy watching you both go from Glasgow to the borders! I live in Glasgow but travel to the borders regularly to spend time with my partner. I find it a real long drive so hats off to you both for walking all that way 🤣
ouch, those wasp stings must have been awful, glad you are ok, this walk is becoming an epic adventure, good job iz was there to keep you calm - well done guys
Wowers, what a dramatic start to this section of the walk, so glad to know it was not a life threatening injury to you Tom. Also glad to see you Iz, you do make the walk all the more brighter and funnier, stay focussed you two, and enjoy being young and free 😊
Pleased you were ok Tom after the wasp stings imaging it not only hurt like heck but also took a while to settle off, drains you doesn’t it. It’s great following your journey, hope all goes ok in the next leg. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Good afternoon Tom and Izzy wow wasps stings and slippery path you guys are having a rough time especially Tom your lucky your not allergic you would be dead ok good times a night in a great bothy take care stay safe see ya soon😘🌸🌺🌿🌻
Antihistamines are useful to carry in a small first aid kit. Use them for insect stings! September is when wasps are likely to sting if you disturb their ground nests (just walking close by will do it). If you are attacked the best strategy is to run as they will only follow you so far. Then take an antihistamine to reduce the effect of the bites.
I once cut a wasp nest in half trimming a hedge. You have my sympathy. It took a week to settle down, and I wanted to scratch the lumps for even longer. I'm ashamed to say I took revenge....
Last weekend I was up at Peebles cycling 120K in the Tour o the Borders Sportive beautiful 🏴 countyside Moffat is so lovely head up the valley to the Grey mares waterfall 😍 Happy Hiking guys stay safe with them wasps
Another great video from the two of you... And impressively edited and pieced together.... You've rapidly become my go to you tube Channel... Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Great video as always, carrying all that kit including your drone is an outstanding feat. The wasps was a real bummer, I experienced a similar event in mountain walking in Spain. The honey farmers have hives placed off small tracks that they can access, I wasn’t as bad as you but as we were running away from the bees my wife fell over and damaged her wrist so trying to pull the stings out was even harder!! Happy days walking ech!! Love the content, well done again. Cheers Mike 🍷🍷
Well done guys. I know exactly how you felt re the wasp stings. Nasty . Great going and I completely agree with issy when she said make the most of your youth.
Hey - You walked past Hogwarts at the start?! The heather is so purple. Really beautiful. 😊 So awful about the wasp nest! Poor old Tom!... And then poor old Drone fighting off the buzzard! ... That still loch was stunning! Glad Izzy wasn't hurt !!! That bothy looked amazing... (it's a good job Izzy suggested looking in the other building with the fancy toilet! 😂) Great video 👏👏👏
Well I was thinking as I watched this series it would be great to follow in Tom's footsteps but I am allergic to wasp stings so this was a shocker...hope the swelling is gone, Tom. And hope the rest of the walk is free of problems...
I'm throughly enjoying this adventure, it's beautifully filmed and edited, my heart went out to you Tom with those wasps! So glad you got help and are on the mend
Love seeing you both back together. This is an epic journey and we look forward to your new videos every week. Hope the Wasps sings don't dampen your spirts too much.
Being a gardener have strimmed a few nests, one this summer very similar to you about 50 stings, I couldn't get my boots on for a few days.they leave a pheromone on you that's why they swarm you run like hell s best. I found antihistamines and calamine lotion good , but you're probably ok by now. Lovely to see you both again
Wow, really scary Tom. Glad you’re ok. Beautiful drone shots, beautiful scenery. That wasn’t a buzzard, that looked like a falcon! Glad your drone is ok!😊. Love watching you guys!❤
That was pretty intense for a time after seeing Tom's stings. Glad you're on the mend bud! The Southern Upland Way is a beautiful part of the world, as is St.Mary's Loch. So pleased you both loved it round there 👍
We’ve been following along and found it hard to know how you carried on after getting all those wasp stings Tom. Having such great support must have helped. You’re both an inspiration, even to us oldies. 😊 Keep going. We’re really enjoying your journey.
Hells bells Tom credit and respect to you mate. One sting is bad enough but bloody nora that must have smarted. Watched your journey from start and just caught up. Brilliant mate, simply brilliant. Big thumbs up from me. 👍👍👍Top man. Atb Dave aka wackyswanderings
7:25 They stung your vitals??? 😲😖😉 Seriously though, you're a f*****g trooper, pal! Hope you liked Moffat - I grew up there; and I trust you stocked up on Moffat Toffees for the trip! 😋
Hi Tom and Isi, I was worried at the beginning you were taken out of your challenge, those wasp stings look nasty, great you can hike together, as it may get pretty lonely at times for you, especially with no signal for contact at times, this is all great content, If you are talking between you both about going to Iceland, then you probably know of the 2 iconic trails you can combine together there for a 4 to 7 day thru hike, I would also look into trying the thru hikes through the South to the North of Iceland, you would bring a lot of views for alternative hikes in Iceland? etc etc,, this would have to be next year though! and fly there, and rent the van when needed, as it could be a nightmare getting to Iceland by van, if you are going by van, then go back to Norway as there are so many great trails there to thru hike, If my ankle was not so screwed I could have hike the section of Offa's dyke, if you wanted the support, as I would like to bag that thru hike, but torn ligaments take a long time to heal 2nd time around, I guess, We are all routing for you here on our chairs🤣, safe hiking!
Izzy suit long hair, love your travels, which I was younger to do this, but at 61 with a metal bar in my foot maybe not good idea , stay safe guys x a huge respect Tom, a lot squaddies would have given up after the wasp incident, but you sir are a trooper,
I dont know about you but that looked the best so far for the scenery. The history of those passes are interesting, the feet that you follow. They've been stealing each others' sheep and raiding back and forth a century or more. The Borderers were ferocious, engaged in blood feuds, respected few laws outside their own, were expert horseback raiders whose skills transferred to military service all over the world.
Christ that was nasty, Tom. The standard ambulance crews err on the side of caution, so will recommend A&E, just so that you're in the right place, if you deteriorate. Some ambulance crews are highly skilled and equipped paramedics. I'm histemic (my body overreacts to some insect bites and I swell up) so I probably would have gone in. I thought Issy was about to have a heart attack with those blue lips ...until I remembered she'd been eating Bilberries
We are a week behind due to been away ourselves but just wanted to say that we have just really enjoyed watching this episode guys ..Big Ouch Tom on those stings !! :o)
Love the Scottish Borders. Use to travel from Berwick Upon Tweed to Stranraer for the ferry to Ulster. Absolutely beautiful. Wonder if you will go near Ettrick? Never seen anyone covered in bites as bad as that Tom. Glad you are okay.
That looked bad Tom. Couldn't have been easy to keep going. How are you now ? Is it all settled. Great video, good walking folks.. look forward to next week
Sure ya have a FA kit in ya back pack, I always carry antihistamines for such occurrences 🙂. Moffat is great, has a brill toy museum u know :-) Good effort guys 🙂
Tom, hornet or wasp stings can be painful and a "full body attack" was no laughing matter. Epi-pen for allergic reactions was always in our First Aid bag. How about you>? Do you have allergies per the paramedics treatment ? Keep going at your own pace !!!
Great stuff. It was lovely walking with you guys for a couple of hours, and yes, the high level route was magnificent! Thanks for including us in this instalment. Really enjoyed catching up with your previous adventures, and look forward to future exploits (especially the Iceland saga…!)
Tom, you're not human, you're a machine. Even wasps won't stop you. Amazing scenery. 👍😊
Tom, fair play cracking on having been stung like that. You are definitely a power couple. Both of you are interesting solo to watch, but when together that's the magic!
Bravo guys, you remain my favourite van life couple.
Absolutely brilliant, this was filmed and presented masterfully folks! Cinematography at its finest!!!
Aw Tom, you are a legend! Iz you are a guardian angel.Stay safe. Respect you both.
Tom you are the man no doubt. Anyone who has been stung by a wasp will definitely not forget it but to be stung by so many jeez I don’t know how you do it I’m glad that Izzy was with you she is a mighty girl and would keep anyone going 👍🏻🇮🇪☘️

Good to see the team back together. Respect for carrying on after the wasp attack. “Using bodies while you can” really resonated, need to move more!
It was good that the paramedics were able to give you the all clear. I will always be so thankful for the NHS. Definitely come back and explore the Scottish Borders more. Find Melrose Abbey. That is where Robert the Bruce's heart is buried.

Stuff of nightmares there Tom. Well done for carrying on.
Thanks, guys for showing such beautiful countryside, you are so lucky with the week ahead. The weather will be sunny and warm no rain whatsoever going into next week. Just a very settled spell ahead for you both.
Marvellous. I don't think I'd have survived those wasps. I could say something about laughing at Izzy, but I won't .... smirk, smile.
It's crazy watching you both go from Glasgow to the borders! I live in Glasgow but travel to the borders regularly to spend time with my partner. I find it a real long drive so hats off to you both for walking all that way 🤣

O Tom you must have been in so much pain! I had one sting and it hurt for hours!
So great to see you both. The scenery with all the heather is beautiful. Flies not so.Tom I hope you recover well from the wasp stings.❤❤❤.

I've had the odd single sting from wasps, mainly picking plumbs. To have a swarm like that WOW!!!😢
Very happy i found this channel. You two are awesome. Good luck with the rest of your walk Tom.

Don’t worry they went back to normal size after some antihistamine
@@LostInTransit😂

You did well to deal with those wasp stings, must have been very painful. Always wise to get a check up as everyone reacts differently to stings
So sorry to hear about the wasp stings - that looked so painful! Also, think it was a Peregrine following your drone. Super cool!
Yep, looked like a peregrine falcon to me too.
Great content guys! 🙂
Truely beautiful country. Glad had Iz there when the wasps attacked.
Thanks for sharing.
7:25 They stung your vitals??? 😲😖😉

Well done for your efforts so far. When are you due in Gretna? I live a few miles away so would pop down to see you over the border 😊
So sorry Tom
And thank God for Izzy. I got stung by a wasp and ice cubes felt really good
Ouch Tom, that looked a pretty serious reaction. Are we off to Gretna Green next week for a secret wedding? 😂🎉🎂
God, i love you guys xx
What an adventure!
Great C Izzy back
Ouch that looked painful Tom
You can go to Iceland with the van by ferry.
We have seen this, just need to save up the £3k ticket cost

dude you're 100% the best person who's documented this walk on youtube and you haven't even gotten half way yet 😂
