    Answer that focuses on resilience:
I believe that I would be a good veterinarian as I am a highly driven and resilient individual who enjoys the challenge of adapting to new situations. Since young, I have always had an interest in promoting animal welfare and as such have always sought ways to do so no matter my age. This started off with the creation of a neighbourhood watch group whose purpose was to patrol and ensure that stray animals in the community were healthy and safe. Later, I started volunteering at animal shelters too once I was of eligible age, where I first helped as an animal shelter helper before taking on multiple roles and eventually landing myself in a clinic role. This gave me opportunities to build my animal handling skills and engage with veterinarians.
These experiences helped broadened my horizons as it made me aware of the challenges that veterinarians face daily. Burnout and compassion fatigue is a common issue in the industry and I soon learned from other vets that there is no all-encompassing solution to address this. Hence, a good vet is someone that can manage their expectations effectively and is self-aware of their current state of wellbeing. These are traits that can promote resilience and is something that I have carefully spent time cultivating through years of working in animal-related fields.
