agreed, used to hate Indy but Romains videos are getting me into it. watched it in the early 2000s and it was awful and I gave up lol. it has come a long way and is now a respectable motorsport!

Great stuff Romain! This is SUCH a more entertaining product than F1 racing, the only thing that gives F1 the incredible drama are the stakes involved as it's such a huge deal to win that championship, both for drivers and teams...the pinnacle of the sport. But it's a snoozefest in actual racing terms compared to IndyCar. The only problem (and it's a BIG one) is the TV coverage with the constant ads. You can't watch a car race like a baseball or American football game with all their natural breaks, it totally destroys the experience. I don't have the solution, all I know is you always make a race entertaining by attacking any gap you see. So glad you're enjoying IndyCar and traveling around the States with your family, we're fortunate to have you!
The first races of 2022 F1 season were quite thrilling with Max and Charles overtaking each other back and forth. Would love to see more of that, but it hasn't really happened again. I was so happy to hear about your transition to Indycar. Formula 1 is also a great sport and right now they are both growing phenomenally and i love it. Now that we have seen many F1 drivers come to Indycar we need to see Indycar drivers go to F1 and tell everyone how it is for them. Motorsport is my passion, thx Romain for giving me a great driver to cheer for. I remember your crash in F1 and i was so happy to see u get out of that disaster. Keep on excelling in Indycar, love the vids.

So many passes including those outside passes going around turn 8., I hope the Montreal GP race has many as well, but not expecting it. Can't wait to see you here in Toronto!
Great race and the way Andretti is improving I know that first win is coming, good luck to you and your team , I wish IC raced every weekend it has been great for a while now and the grid is full of great drivers so any top 5 finish is something to be proud of, I would give anything to strap into one of those cars are give it a go, you and the rest of the grid are lucky to race in such an intense series
You missed Push to Pass and having to run two different tyre compounds in the race, both of which are ideas I believe CART/Indycar came up with in the early 2000's.
@@andrewcarter9649 I have been a fan of auto sports for 34 years. Increasing turbo boost momentarily and having only two dry tire options are not gimmicks to me.. F1 used to be that simple as well. I miss their qualifying engine and tires though.
@@7mmalltheway I agree. it's not a gimmick like DRS because you can use push to pass when you want where you want. and you can use it to attack or defend. DRS is much more a gimmick because they dictate where they want you to pass on track with the zones

Pretty awesome stuff. I am an american F1 fan whose love for indycar was reignited by the likes of yourself and other world class drivers deciding to give indycar a try. The likes of Marcus and Jimmie really make this an exciting time to be tuned in. We just need alonso to run a few more 500s.

Battling with Herta going into 5 early in the video reminded me of an incident involving his dad like 30yrs ago at 5 where he spun and then another car ended up on top of him. Remember it live on TV… guess that means I’m not young!
Belle course ! Tu penses qu'il te manque quoi pour accrocher une première victoire ? Meilleur setup ? Meilleure compréhension/tenue des pneus ? Car sur la strat de course ca a l'air bien, sur la fin tu avais l'avantage sur les push to pass face à tes adversaires directs dans la course par exemple.

I love how the onboard camera gave up after doing 7.8 lateral Gs for 50+ laps. Great race.
