@@lexzone-six9912 Well no because Cleveland never had so many consecutive postseason disappointments. One thing this particular video leaves out are the heroics of Tyler Matzek. Top of the 7th in game 6 of the NLCS, last pitcher let a run score without getting an out, putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out. Just about any hit ties the game, and a homer puts the Dodgers on top 5-4, and 2/3 of the next batters are MVPs. Then Tyler Matzek comes to the mound and stikes those next 3 batters out in a row, ending the scoring threat and preserving Atlanta's lead. As it turns out, that would be the last chance LA would get, as Matzek and closer Will Smith would retire the next 6 in order. Game, set, match. One of, if not THE most pivotal moment in the series, and arguably the postseason as a whole. Even better, Matzek performed at a similar level the entire postseason, allowing only 3 runs to score over 13 games the entire postseason. And to think that just 2 years ago he was in independent leagues after recovering from anxiety that was so bad that he couldn't even play catch from 5 feet away without experiencing the yips, and then went on to become the most trusted and reliable pitcher in Atlanta's bullpen. Of all the feel-good stories this season, Tyler Matzek's is easily one of the best.
That Atlanta bullpen also took down the Astros who were mowing teams down in the AL side of the playoffs. Minter, Jackson, Matzek, and Smith were key to Atlanta matching 0s with the dodgers and holding Houston to just two home runs in the WS.
Fun fact about the Braves this year: Hank Aaron -- one of the best players of all time -who also played for the Braves -- wore jersey number 44. He also passed away at the start of the year. The Braves had 44 wins at the All Star Game, won 44 games during the second half the season, then won the World Series at the 44th week of the year.
then there's the opponents Milwaukee Brewers the Braves' prior home, and Hank's final destination Los Angeles Dodgers, victim of 715 Houston Astros, managed by his once teammate in Dusty Baker I believe in destiny
One thing to note when they say Rosario was "kind of a good player", he was the MVP of the NLCS against the Dodgers and was instrumental in the Braves winning it all. It was amazing to see.
Braves fan here. It's been almost a month and I still can't believe it. Atlanta has a long history of having the rug pulled out from under us when it comes to sports. We're a city in need of championships and it feels incredible to finally get another one after all these years.
Check out some stuff about Charlie Morton in the World Series. Essentially broke his leg, finished the inning WENT BACK OUT for the next inning for I think 2 batters. Insane, and then to top it off he apologized to his teammates that he couldn’t go longer in the game!!
Theres a difference in being a good hitter and a good home run hitter, there is way more to hitting than just hitting home runs, thats what the announcer meant when he said one was a pretty good hitter and the others were good home run hitters
Pretty crazy out of the 4 trade deadline pickups, 1 of them (Rosario) won NLCS MVP, and Soler won the World Series MVP.. If they gave awards for NLDS, Joc Pederson probably would've won that. Had like 3 pinch hit homers in that series. Crazy ride it was but I loved every second of it!
Any true braves, Falcons, Bulldogs fan knows heartache. That’s what makes winning so much sweeter. I waited 42 years for the Georgia Bulldogs and 27 for another Braves series. We’ve had so many championships that we could taste but just not close out. One thing about our fans though, is that we don’t give up on our teams. You are now an honorary member of Braves Country and DawgNation btw.
25 years old. I’ve waited my WHOLE life for this moment. After trade deadline in august I told my grandpa “we’re gonna win the WS” 3 weeks later he passed away. I know he was watching and jumping up and down. The Braves have always been the butt of some of the greatest moments in MLB history. This city has been the butt of jokes. For this team this year to do it? Unreal. I’ll never forget it as long as I live
Answer to the question at the end: yes it still feels absolutely amazing. We went on an improbable postseason run for the ages, and as a die-hard fan nothing beats the feeling I had watching the World Series parade knowing we had won it all. The fact that we were underdogs made it all the sweeter.
if you've been to the battery recently, there are large ornaments sitting in the pedestal outside of the wahlburgers and i was standing right there for the parade. i was just a few feet away from getting a jersey that i literally watched acuña sign and then throw off the float. hands down the best day of my life.
It’s March of 2022 and as a huge, die hard Braves fan, it feels like it was a movie, and that it wasn’t reality. When that last out put in history forever, I was on my couch, stunned. I couldn’t speak, it didn’t feel real. This journey the Braves have been on has not ended.#BringItBack!!!
Born and raised in Atlanta. Braves fan all my life. I will always get chills seeing that final out. I'm in tears right now wishing my grandfather was still here to see it. Great reaction.
One thing about Major League Baseball that is different than other sports is that it attracts the best players from all over the world. There are no leagues in other countries that even come close to the level of MLB. Japan, Korea, and Central America have good leagues but nothing like the MLB.
I get what you're trying to say here... But you definitely forgot about hockey. Talk about being a sport made up of players from all over the world. The NHL is at least on par with MLB if not ahead.
@@mattkore3251 You're right, but the NHL isn't nearly as big as the MLB in both viewership and in player diversity because hockey fans and players tend to only come from colder climates where kids can play hockey in winter. Baseball is a summer sport and so kids from every corner of the world play and players in MLB come from everywhere.
I have been a Braves fan since I was a kid (a long time ago) back in the Hank Aaron era. My dad used to take me to the games and I saw Aaron and many other Braves greats play. Hank Aaron passed this year before the season started. His number 44 was in the grass of the outfield all season. This World Series win was for him. People were saying that there were angels in the outfield during the playoffs, Hank Aaron, Phil Niekro, Mr. Bartholomay, and Don Sutton who passed away this year. Braves fans have waited for a long time for this. This is what it is all about. Honestly, I thought the season was over when we lost Acuna mid season, but I never stopped watching and hoping. Go Braves!
I've played like many have. Obviously not pro but I know people who have. It's always the same no matter the level. It's never over until the players say it's over. It's something I used to pace up and down the sidelines and yell, "It's not over! It's not over! It's not over until WE say it's over!"
Me too! My sister and I saw Hank in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium hit 715! I watched the Braves with my grandma and my dad and now I watch them with my grandkids 🪓⚾️❤️
@@sylviamc56 my little sister and I loved going to the games and my older sisters husband took us. We still relive it all the time. This Braves team was special this year. You could just feel the magic. Let’s do this again next year please ❤️🪓⚾️
As a lifelong Braves fan I enjoyed the pure reactions but the mini movie left out an absolutely vital moment in this run from the 7th inning of game 6 in the NLCS vs the Dodgers with Tyler Matzek striking out the side with two on no outs and it was with relative ease too. Seasons past that type of inning has always turned into heartbreak but Matzek delivered maybe one of the best relief appearances ever.
My Grandfather passed away in May. He was the biggest braves fan that I know. I love how they won this year of all years when everyone doubted them, that was for my Grandpa!
Braves fan here! Been for over 30 years now. There was a said “sports curse” over Atlanta. Only 2 championships out of the major 4 sports here(NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL) since 1966. The city had the biggest collapse in Super Bowl history, lost TWO NHL teams to other cities, and the Hawks have never made it to the finals in Atlanta. So needless to say, we are still feeling excellent over here. I was at game 6 of the NLCS this year, and when Rosario hit that 3 run home run, the place literally shook! I stood still and Truist Park was literally shaking!!!
Being an Atlanta fan this is something I never thought I would see, I know that sounds dramatic but something always happens to our teams in Georgia and to see it finally happen is remarkable. This Braves team played some of the best ball down the stretch and there was only like 3 games the entire postseason they couldn’t win, they were competitive in all the rest. What a great story for this team to beat the odds and win the whole thing! Go Braves!!
I don't root for any other Georgia teams but been a Braves fan since the '80s and that's not dramatic to say. Anyone who follows any Georgia team will tell you about the long string of heartbreak fans have experienced and how it's always expected something incredibly unlucky or bad will happen
I’ve been watching Braves baseball since I was six years old in 1982. Being swept up in the momentum and excitement of the second half of the season and playoffs is one of the magical times of my life. We now live ten minutes from the stadium, and getting to walk with my kids down our streets to see the victory parade is a moment I’ll never forget (Braves player Joc Pederson sprayed a beer all over my wife and four year old son - but it’s all in good fun)
Bro as a life-long die-hard Braves fan, I LOVE this video man. The fact that you don’t know much about baseball and still can watch this and understand the energy that was in that stadium these playoffs is incredible.
As a Braves fan, I absolutely sobbed watching this. Thank you for reacting and posting! It didn't show that Soler got COVID and didn't play in the NLCS, when "kind of a good player" Rosario came in for him and was the MVP of the the NLCS. Then Soler was able to come back for the World Series, and was the MVP.
Rosario, the player they dubbed an "ok" player, was the NLCS MVP and broke a team record for hits in a series. Praying my Braves re-sign him. Loved the video. Will def be watching more
I still can't believe it, this was truly awesome. Great for the state of Georgia and city of Atlanta, and all the BRAVES fans around the world. GO BRAVES AMERICA'S TEAM!!!!
I’ve been a fan for all 16 years of my life and I went to games since I was two years old. I was at Game 2 and Game 6 of the NLCS. I have no words to describe how exhilarating it was to be there. The excitement in the air was beyond expectation. When we got the final out of Game 6 I was holding the flag I brought to the game high and proud. I cried when we won the World Series.
Man I've watched that video 100 times, I'm a diehard Braves fan. I was 8 the last time they won the WS, I'm 34 now. It's been a long time coming. I think I was more excited to see your reaction to the video than I was watching the video myself.
I was at that game where St. Louis was up 10-0 after 1 inning. By the 2nd inning, I had the entire row of seats to myself as everyone had left. Our hopes were dashed quickly. Last year, we lost the 3-1 series lead. It was at that point where I was resigned to the fact that failure was our destiny. I didn't think I'd ever see another championship again in my lifetime. When that final out was made, and our franchise player caught that ball at 1st base to end it, I couldn't begin to describe the feeling that came over me. I still can't describe it. The Braves fans had suffered for so long. They deserved a season and an ending like this. We may not ever win another title, but it will not matter to me. This will stick in my mind for as long as I live.
As a Braves fan, this is the best feeling I will ever have in my life. I wasn’t alive for our last championship in 1995, and this was is so different. So much prior playoff failure, and Freddie Freeman, the soul and spirit of our team since 2011, finally has his ring. This is a beyond resilient bunch, and I will never take it for granted
My best friend was the biggest Braves fan I’ve ever met and sadly, we lost him back in August. So seeing the Braves pull through and win it after that was beyond what words can describe
Braves fan since 1969...yep, I'm that old. I have been lucky enough to have Seen the Braves win it all twice,1995 and 2021. This year was BY FAR more exciting because it was unexpected after Acuna Jr. Was lost. My Clemson Tigers are having an off year, so the Braves filled in nicely. Enjoy your show
@@nomdeguerre7265 I pull for Carolina and ALL of South Carolinas teams when they're not playing Clemson. I grew up a Frank McGuire Basketball fan. I switched in 9th grade when I started going to Lineman Camp at Clemson. I want Carolina to go 11-1 EVERY year... Merry Christmas
Lifelong Braves fan and I'm glad you got to enjoy the hype we felt this entire season, the biggest highs from the lowest lows. The pure sport definition of an underdog was this season. Don't even know if it has properly set in that we are champs for me. Started watching the team as a kid back in the '80s. Backstory is during the 90s we had one of the most successful teams in Major League baseball but we only managed to win one World Series that entire time. We won our division a record 14 consecutive seasons. And then the team got bad for a few years. Managed to rebuild everything and got back to winning the division again 4 years in a row but there was always this thought that we weren't going to win the whole thing, just have a good regular season team again that occasionally wins some games in the postseason. What you saw in this video was the culmination of that whole process and for us longer-term fans the payoff for years of loyalty.
Braves have been my team since a kid and getting to go to many games a year this year was MAGICAL BY FAR!!!! Thanks for taking the time to watch this!!! Gooooooooo BRAVESSSS!!!!!!
I’ve been a Braves fan since 2003. Watching the Braves in the World Series was the greatest moment of my life (having my kids is number one though). I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. The best story of the Braves here.
First the Braves then Georgia both Champions believe me it feels unreal like it didn't happen even though it's been months since it did. Go Braves FOREVER!
Been a Braves fan all my life and seeing them win the world series and then Georgia win the college football national championship in the same year still seems unreal... Unbelievable feeling of joy
Atlanta Braves fan here. No team from Atlanta (not just the Braves) has won a championship since 1995. This was huge for the city and the state of all these teams. The trades made were for guys with high upside but their downside is low and they played well. I went to 4 of the games, I will never forget this run and moment in my life
I have waited 26 years for this moment I'm a fan since 1990 and I've seen so many heart breaking seasons 💔 and they won on my 45 birthday how awesome is that 💙 👏 ❤
I love that they put that part in the video where he said Rosario was just an alright player. Then he went on to be probably the most pivotal player for us during the playoffs especially in the later rounds and the world series.
44 wins at the all star break. 44 more wins, won them everything. After losing the all time great #44 during the season, there’s no way he didn’t give us his blessing from above. CHOP ON FOR LIFE
I've been an ATL Braves Fan since birth. Still remember the 1995 world series. 26 years since then. Braves Country (called Braves Country because ATL, GA has the only MLB team in the South, except for Florida) has been dying for this. PARTY LIKE IT'S 1995!!!
As a braves fan it still blows my mind we managed to pull it off hats off to our general manager Alex Anthopoulos for risking a lot and going out before the trade deadline and picking up Duvall, Pederson, Rosario, and Soler without those 4 players I dont even think we would of made the playoffs
As a lifelong Braves fan (Win or Lose since 1978), It was great to see these guys play with passion and pride and take on all comers. The Brewers, the Dodgers, and the Astros. Teams with more "Talent" and a better record at the All-Star break Bombs away in Atlanta, GA!
When it showed Rosario hit for the cycle, that means he got a single, double, triple, and home run, all in the same game. Those are very rare. But the amazing thing is he did it in just 5 pitches. That has probably never been nor ever will be done again.
yea like joshua simmons said we thought we were gonna win for the past four years but we lost and lost and lost but we finally won one lets gooooooooooooooo

This is so cool to see your reaction. I have been a Braves fan since I was a kid. There are some things that are universal in sports. The thrill of competition, passion of the fans, and an underdog story are why we watch. Thanks for posting this and I hope the teams you love and follow do great also. Cheers!

I've been an Atlanta Braves fan since 1980. And I'm not even from there. It was a family love for this team. Each time, each year, with every new team they had proved why we loved them so much throughout the years.
Been a Braves fan since the early 80s. I remember the last WS win in 95, but this one just seemed more special. Thank you for showing it. Remember to keep your Chop On!
Still can’t believe we won. I’m still pinching myself. All of the teams in our city seem to always fall apart in the playoffs. So to see how they kept fighting was amazing!
Go Braves! My son died in an accident before they took the Series. When they fought hard and won, my knees buckled and I was bawling. My son’s celebration of life was all Braves theme, everybody wore their jerseys. My son always wore 44 for Hank Aaron. I purchased a Braves urn that levitated a Braves helmet above it.....like magic. RIP Nic....and I think you made this Series win happen from above❤️ saying hello from Atlanta GA
I'm a HUGE Braves fan. I have to admit I shed a tear of excitement when they won the World Series. Such jubilation after decades of disappointment. I'm still in shock. If you have any baseball questions about the MLB I know way more than the average guy. Baseball is my #1 sport. Keep up the great vids!
I love this…being British, I can assume baseball doesn’t hit as hard to you as it does an American….but seeing the excitement this video brought you is a breath of fresh air baseball desperately needs! I’d also like to point out we lost our ace pitcher in Mike Soroka, our all star right fielder in Acuna, our catcher for 60 games, our silver slugging left fielder Ozuna, and our up and coming stud rookie center fielder. The resiliency this team showed this year is a story in itself! #chopon
I'm a Georgia lady and I am so proud of the Atlanta Braves!!! My granddad watched the braves every game and he passed away before they won their first World Series, so I hope he watched from Heaven his team winning their 2nd World Series.
For extra context, at 6:17 that was our pitcher who got a hit for the walkoff win 😆. They ran out of bench bats and had to use the pitcher as a replacement

This World Series means so much because all the heartbreak they have had in years past. I was so happy they won. Go Braves
I was born in 95 which was when they last won the World Series. I grew up in New Jersey but it was while the Braves were always on TBS so I started watching and following them. To have my heart broken in 2013, 2018, 2019, and 2020 (the last one while i was deployed) was so painful but to finally see them go all the way, I still get goosebumps and tears watching this. It's been over a month since it happened but my boys are still the champs! #ChopOn #GoBraves
The last time the Braves won the World Series was in 1995. I wasn’t alive yet. I’ve watched the Braves ever since I can remember. The good, the bad, and the ugly. To watch this team (who by the way had a 0.3% chance to win it all at the all star break) come back against all odds and win it all is pure euphoria! I watched every inning of the Braves post season! Even at work when I wasn’t supposed to! Lol. I still get chills watching the mini movie and all the other videos! It’s especially nice to see someone from another country reacting to this! Long time Braves fan here! I still get goosebumps when I watch this video. The city of Atlanta needed this win badly!
Definitely not a Braves fan. You’ll have to search very deep inside of me to find this, but I respect them.
Hey, at least we aren't Philly!
Hey man respect to you for saying that
Thanks for saying so. As an Atlanta fan I have to say for most of last year, you guys were the Kings.
Braves fan here. It's been almost a month and I still can't believe it. Atlanta has a long history of having the rug pulled out from under us when it comes to sports. We're a city in need of championships and it feels incredible to finally get another one after all these years.
We did it boss! Still hyped ngl
Don't forget that we also won the MLS title in 2018...that counts too.
@@rojorj17 Forget? I got scarves from MLS Cup, Campeones Cup, and US Open Cup! 😁
Check out some stuff about Charlie Morton in the World Series. Essentially broke his leg, finished the inning WENT BACK OUT for the next inning for I think 2 batters. Insane, and then to top it off he apologized to his teammates that he couldn’t go longer in the game!!
I'm from/in Atlanta!! Cheers mate! Go Braves!
Heck yeah bro
Go Braves! This is the second World Series win I’ve gotten to see. Great series.
It still hasn't quite sunk in for me quite yet. Unreal season.
Prime example is ichiro suzuki
@@DBinDC and duvall was clutch all year and led the NL in RBIs
Yeah like Adam Duvall lots of power but strikes out to much
Any true braves, Falcons, Bulldogs fan knows heartache.
When they won that was the best day of my life, I had tears of joy coming out of my eyes when that happened
Red Sox fan here, I'm really happy for you Braves fans!! Well deserved championship. Fighting till the end, I fu*king love it. Well done lads
Still come back to this awesome reaction you did from time to time to get me hyped up for another year of Braves baseball
One thing about Major League Baseball that is different than other sports is that it attracts the best players from all over the world. There are no leagues in other countries that even come close to the level of MLB. Japan, Korea, and Central America have good leagues but nothing like the MLB.
Yep! Money can buy a championship in baseball although the Dodgers can't figure it out
@@trumphatesyou Braves are 14th (I believe) in payroll. Its all about how u manage the $$. Having a good GM is invaluable and we have one!
yup see my comment
@@ScottAndScarlettsDarkHumor So true. This team never gave up.
Me too! My sister and I saw Hank in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium hit 715! I watched the Braves with my grandma and my dad and now I watch them with my grandkids 🪓⚾️❤️
@@perijetton9275 Wow! You are so lucky to have been there in person for that! I saw it on tv. What a moment!

I’m in tears how much this means to me I wish my dad was still here to enjoy this with me.
Rosario, the player they dubbed an "ok" player, was the NLCS MVP and broke a team record for hits in a series. Praying my Braves re-sign him. Loved the video. Will def be watching more
At least 10 times watching that video, I tear up every time, still doesn’t even feel real!!
I love how excited this man is going on into this video. Just shows how special this year was for Atlanta
Enjoy your show
There's one thing a Gamecock and a Tiger can agree on: the Braves. ;)

Couldn’t have said it better
Watching this in December and still loving and remembering this. It was a beautiful moment and so happy for my city.
I was born and raised in Atlanta been a braves fan all my life just proud of my braves forever and always
Been a Braves fan all my life and seeing them win the world series and then Georgia win the college football national championship in the same year still seems unreal... Unbelievable feeling of joy
My favorite team for over 40 years. This made me cry all over again. Thanks for showing this...I had not seen it before. What a great season!!!
These guys have inspired me beyond words. Witnessing every home playoff game in person was something I will never forget.
When it showed Rosario hit for the cycle, that means he got a single, double, triple, and home run, all in the same game. Those are very rare. But the amazing thing is he did it in just 5 pitches. That has probably never been nor ever will be done again.
I'm a lifetime Atlanta braves fan it's been 26 years and it feels amazing.
As a Braves fan I enjoyed all of these moments, and also this vid :D
The atmosphere for the playoff games are unreal, there's no words to describe it especially being there in person
yea like joshua simmons said we thought we were gonna win for the past four years but we lost and lost and lost but we finally won one lets gooooooooooooooo
i would just like to say… i am a diehard Braves fan and this is my first time coming across ur channel, i love the energy u give off & the mentality of “hey maybe i don’t know this sport that well but i’ll give it a shot”… ur a genuinely amazing reaction channel. u have earned my sub, great video man!
What a team to represent a fan base! A month on I still get goosebumps thinking about what our guys accomplished and how they did it. Hyped and never coming down!
This is so cool to see your reaction. I have been a Braves fan since I was a kid. There are some things that are universal in sports. The thrill of competition, passion of the fans, and an underdog story are why we watch. Thanks for posting this and I hope the teams you love and follow do great also. Cheers!
Cried the rest of the night. Was an amazing run. Probably one of the best in mlb history. Love my braves. Congrats from chiraq killinois
I can never be mad at these boys ever again. They gave me someone the best feelings and emotions I’ve ever experienced!
I'm in Atlanta and has been a Braves fan all my life. A month after winning it all, I am still on Cloud 9. I love it. Truly an extraordinary and amazing season for the Braves. I love wearing my Braves World Series Champions memorabilia. Thanks so much for doing this reaction. Now time for you to join the ranks and become a Braves fan as well! LOL!
Magical run by my Braves!! Thanks for sharing this moment as I will never forget my emotions when we won it! So much talent on this team, and they will be in the thick of the conversation this year also. I look forward to another great season and possibly, another championship! Truist park will be lit this year!! Go Braves!
I've been an Atlanta Braves fan since 1980. And I'm not even from there. It was a family love for this team. Each time, each year, with every new team they had proved why we loved them so much throughout the years.
This is without a doubt my favorite video in all of TH-cam! Thank you
Been a Braves fan since the early 80s.
Still gets me choked up watching the highlights
I'm a HUGE Braves fan. I have to admit I shed a tear of excitement when they won the World Series. Such jubilation after decades of disappointment. I'm still in shock. I was at the NLCS game they won to get to the World Series. By far the best crowd I've been apart of. Love the video.
#chopon
Thrilled to see this from you!!
Love the channel and you folks over there in England/UK...Keep up the good work! BRAVES COUNTRY!!!

Huge Braves fan. It’s still unbelievable. I get chills every time I watch that video.
Been a Braves fan since I could remember and have been waiting since 1995 for this and I smile every time I watch these highlights

Life long Braves fan, I was 9 when they won it in 1995. Watching those highlights (I’m not ashamed to say) just about brings me to tears. Man, just so much joy for a fan base that had waited so long to reclaim the crown!
As Braves fan since at young age. Because me and both of my papaws love the Braves like I do. I know they was in heaven smiling when they won. When they they won it in 95 I was 4 going on 5. This World Series means so much because all the heartbreak they have had in years past. I was so happy they won. Go Braves
As a life long Braves fan, the ups, the downs. It's incredible. It's been a heartbreaking road but it's been traveled and conquered. Go Braves!
Lifelong Braves fan here, and I'm watching this in the middle of December. It still gives me goosebumps. Lol. Great video 🤝🙏
Thank you for posting this!
Probably one of the most pure world series ever , so clean 😍
A man of culture I see
After watching them my whole life, words can't describe how I feel, I got louder than that crowd
I've been a Braves fan ever since 1983 when Dale Murphy and Bob horner and I've been covering with the Atlanta braves through the 90s and I'm so happy this year they won the World series
