  • In this video, I would be discussing how overseas trained Pharmacist can obtain their licence in New Zealand and Australia through recognised equivalent qualification route or non-recognised equivalent qualification route.
The four steps required in the non-recognised equivalent qualification route (Non-REQR) would be broken down for easy understanding. The documents and the fees attached to each of the processes would be explained in details.
Step 1: Application for initial consideration.
The following documents are required in hard copies:
    Application form
    Passport photo
    Application fee
    Curriculum Vitae
    Proof of Id
Evident of change of name if applicable
Evident of your application to register as a pharmacist in any country and the outcome
Disclosure of health matter or con eviction, and /or details of any professional conduct issues ( if applicable)
    Transcript
    Certificate of current registration
Letter or statement of good standing
Reference/Verification of employment, as well as tips on who to use
Step2: Knowledge Assessment Of Pharmaceutical Science (KAPS)
Step 3: Pharmacy legislation course. This is organised by Auckland university twice a year and covered within 12 weeks.
Step 4: Intern Registration and Supervised practice: This program commences on 1 February yearly and runs for a minimum of 37weeks.
Inclusion, an introduction to an alternative route of working in a pharmacy-related field and would be discussed extensively in our subsequent video.

Hello, has the process changed? I checked the Australian pharmacy website and the process is quite different. For example I'm required to upload required documents instead of sending as hard copies.

Australia accept all soft copies for documents evaluation and NZ mostly hard copies.

If that is your situation you skip the work experience section, then provide other supporting documents to state you are a licensed pharmacist but still studying which your CV should reflect as well.

Congrats on your job offer. The first step is to open an account with Australian Pharmacy Council and have your document evaluated and it cost is about $1777 . The maximum length for this process is 8 weeks and if you're eligible you can enroll for KAPS exams which cost about $2190 per attempt and maximum of 2 attempts allowed. The guidelines on what to study is on the council's website. Kindly, find the link attached :www.pharmacycouncil.org.au/pathway-kaps-or-caop/

Can ID card go for complimentary cards?

    • @julietchinelo.6288
      @julietchinelo.6288  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I see why not if details such as the referee full name, contact number and email address are there, but unfortunately must ID cards don't have such details. I think you should flip NZ Pharmacy Council an email to see what other options such as letter headed paper with the required details would be acceptable.

I have limited personal experience and information on asylum seeking in Nz as that wasn't my route of migration. However, I will try to do some research on it and get something organized.
