I like how Micheal's heart skips a beat at like 6:58, he checks his pulse on his neck, but then goes right back to talking
I've had full workups and my heart is fine, but I still get skipped beats like that and it's jarring. They can hurt or take you off your square and I will check my pulse like that sometimes too lol
This is definitely the most unstable lineup of hosts…

I love that Michael talked about using the glove to block your opponents view before you go for a headshot, and it was the exact move he used to land his last hit before his TKO over Graham in Saturdays fight!

I was already surprised when I saw the title and thumbnail, but when I played the video, I see an Aussie? That was REALLY unexpected to see Alex so far from home.

@@NothingXemnas I mean, he's been in the podcast several times l, includibg last week (or the week before?), where he talked about his upcoming trip. He's also been in at least Will's and Ian's videos when he came to the States before (and vice versa when they when to Australia).
That's said, I had forgot and was still surprised to see him in person lol

I love how they both started out thinking they'd trounce their opponents, trained till they thought they'd lose, and then ABSOLUTELY DUNKED on their opponents.
Especially Alex he repped aus very well
That is honestly how you're supposed to train - for worst case scenarios, then it is so cathartic to just cruise and destroy.
It's scary cute how Alex seems to still be oblivious to the fact that the is a Greek Demigod, and he will dunk on mere mortals every time xD
As someone who was there, an after-fight podcast with Alex and Michael would be great to see

Yup. I didn't see the fight but I read the results, and Alex was apparently beating James (Odd1sOut) so badly that Alex felt bad and had to beg the judge to end the match. They didn't even finish the first round.

Yeah he flogged him. At one point he just let up before the ref even called it to make sure he was ok. Big respect to james though he kept going even after some heavy hits

let me just say....when I saw michael coming out I saw the south east asian killer in him...and he fought smart, very smart. countering the weak left jabs with a right over the arm could have been the winning move for everyone there. michael realized it after round one. true engineer right there. beautiful to see. just beautiful.

Im still hyped. he did exactly what I expected from a engineer. he had tactics ready, trainined what was important in the short manner of time (his jabs I believe) and reacted fast to changing situations eg saw that he could counter the jabs with right hooks...really great

I'm epileptic and when you guys explained everything going black and coming back that is kinda what it feels like when I have a seizure. You get this craaaazy "hungover" feeling before blacking out usually but not always

Alex walked into the Ring and dismantled his opponent. That was a great fight, even if he chose to speed run it.

@@JaredConnell Dad won his, I think Alex Ernst won his, i did a thing won his, Michael won his, JustaMinx won hers (that fight was gnarly, my favorite of the night), Eric lost his and I don’t remember the name of the guy he was fighting, Harley (Epic Meal Time) won his and Doctor Mike won the ending fight against iDubbbz. I probably forgot a few but that’s the gist of it, I can also give more details for the i did a thing/theodd1sout fight and later bc that’s when I joined the stream
@@alderbraue i say alex ernst vs ryan was the best fight of the night. Idubbz had the hardest fought fight by far and i think that's pretty clear even though he lost in the end.
I would not want to jump scare those 2 dudes as part of a prank, they're locked and loaded. Glad to see William and Michael in the same room again, and to have an episode in person is a breath of fresh air.

I recall hearing that injuries, especially head injuries, shot up when they introduced boxing gloves, because you're still transferring just as much force unto the opponent but now you aren't cracking your knuckles in the process so you don't get that "oh shit this is really dangerous" feedback that would otherwise moderate your punches.

The fight response is a hell of a drug! Grew up in a small town so fights were just a fact of life because bored teenage boys hit each other. I totally get what Alex is saying about how you become a different person once that first hit lands on you.

Boxing gloves are to protect your hands, not the other person's face/body. The sport would honestly be safer without gloves or at least with something like a 4oz glove rather than 16oz. The psychology and strategy of the game changed significantly after gloves were brought in just because people didn't want to see the more visceral and bloody injuries from a bare knuckle punch to the head, but those cuts and broken bones are infinitely better than the long lasting brain damage that comes from constant full force blows to the head.
Both of them demolished their opponent.
