I am fascinated by the sheer variety of style and the fact that most of them wear suits even though it is quite warm. But I can hardly imagine that when they were asked about how to stay cool, that they actually felt cool and comfortable.
IMHO Cabral is spot-on, and manages not to look like a peacock. (Although I don't think Italian men are particularly bothered by egregious flaunting.) I'm fascinated by how fashion reflects the terrain that the wearer originates from, or from which his ethnic peers derive. Cabral's style is very similar to many other sub-Saharan African men of fashion -- minimalist, casual chic, monochromatic with a tilt towards an undramatic color palette. (Speaking of men of African descent only, this would be different, say, for Caribbeans or black Americans from the American South. Each is guided by his ur-terrain, so to speak.)
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like you can very much see how the first guy is far from "cool" and much closer to "sweating my balls off". Well that's what you get with tight cut trousers and jacket.... After all there is a reason why linen is usually cut a bit loser.
It's a cool look but ironically they all talk about individuality and manage to be dress nearly identically with only slight variation in color and pattern
Well, there's only so much variation you can have with dress, really, unless you're prepared to be really out there. I definitely see differences in the way they dress. It's still the classic combination of suit and tie, of course, but the idiosyncrasies come up in the silhouette or cut, the texture of the fabric, choice of color, and personal accessories. And how it shows off the man, himself. That's where the individuality comes from. I think they all look magnificent.
Not feeling the dark leather shoes with no socks and bright colors. Not cool and definitely not cool for one's feet. Linen, perforated leather suede, cloth...many alternatives and substitutes exist for men. For god's sake, wear a real pair of socks if the heavy leather shoes must go on. Jeesh.
MR. Porter. Does such a fantastic job and justice to the world of Fashion. Cheers!
Very beautiful, style!!I wish I could visit Pitti one day

Leinenstoff... Daraus sind die Anzüge sicher
@@balticsea7891 Bei hautengem Schnitt hilft auch Leine nicht. Helfen tun bei dem Wetter nur luftige Schnitte und wenige Lagen.
Great video, nice to hear their thoughts
Mr porter makes more sensible fashion content than even vogue and GQ put together
It's insane to me to see Saman Amel in this video just as an innocent bi-stander only to have his own video 5 years later
Style never fails
Love Italy!
There is someone close to the limit between well dressed...and well disguised...
the best way to keep cool in summer is wear a plain white tee like Tony Ton @3:12
This was a great video, very nice hearing their point of view.
No socks and friendship bracelets... LOTS of them. Oh. And ONE boldly colored thing. Down pat.
Peacocks everywhere...
okay
Magnifique

That bag that gentleman had was amazing.
I was waiting for someone to say the word 'eclectic'
Pitti is the home to tightly tailored suits. I think it's just a trend, it's certainly not what defines the gentleman.
slimmer tailoring has always been an italian thing. for example american suits are way boxier, it is how it is.
Pitti Uomo goes back to the 50s so its not just a trend sorry :p
did not expect MDV to pull off that double b jacket
OK i see your g-shock with green suit. Lmao
Does anyone know what sunglasses Armando Cabral is wearing?
Do you have a clip on picking the right sunglasses for the right kind of suit ?
What is pitti stand for
that art dealer is fierce
I love it!!
40! Older Gentlemen??? I'm 43, I behave like a 25 year old and have the mental capacity of an 18 year old. So there huh...
kurjan100 i like your style
You 47 now??
KurJan&Urbano Sad. Peter Pan does not end well.
You’re in your early 50s now, over half a century old.
Pitti is a trade show, not a fashion show
When is the next Pitti Uomo ? How many days is it for ?
+Sebastian Beasant thanks
❤❤
Love that sort of style, but I could never pull of a suit. More rick owens/julius for me xD
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!
Khalil Carter Word!
Unless you're 300 lbs you can pull of a suit, definitely.
What's the deal with those silly bracelets!? We wore this in elementary school, which were pulled out of the gumball machines...
I came towards the end
I liked the way this video was directed and illustrated but i personally am not a fan of any of the styles by the men featured in this video.
Very nice video, but wearing a tie in the heat just to show off other is self punishment.

Also, linen has to be looser at it doesn't stretch like cotton. If linen is too tight it will just burst at the seams
What a pitti.
i think i need a job dude all these guys have 5000$ outfits on

Roberto Mararo is the only legit guy there.
Mr porter could have featured some Asian attendees. Just an idea.
Always wear a great watch.. Please no I watch lol
2:05 this guy is wearing a fake watch. Over pretentious people.
+KenChiwo whats fake about it ?
pause at 2:19 . The replica watch is a knock off of the Patek Philippe 5002, a 3million dollar watch.
who cares lol
You are right, who cares. But wearing a fake watch that represents a 3 million dollar watch is kinda alarming. If it was a fake rolex (whatever)...
+KenChiwo Hey maybe it's an homage watch. Perhaps a Parnis ;-)
I pitti the fool
Those shoes look like my grandads slipers
кайФ
eft that. I'm rocking a short sleeved dress shirt.
But being well-dressed means wearing something discreet

I bet you know better today not to wear a dressy white shirt with a regular suit tie with a linen suit.
its all rather oldstye, isn't it ? I really do not like all that doublebreasted jackets ... it makes men look fat even they are slim 🙂
