Mom your the true definition of the word Patience. You take the time out to TEACH your child and not just give him what he wants. I see some parents givw their kids whatever they want because they don't want to deal with the meltdowns. I wish all moms could be like you. I know its not easy but in the long run ..I believe your life will be less stressful and your son will be more healthy. GREAT JOB MOM.

We did feeding therapy and it works! When he was little he only eat french fries, that's all.
The therapist teach us how to introduce a food without Force,Just present the food 1st and different colors and play a little cut them like shapes and number. It's ok touch ,smell, then try a little with out telling him to eat.30mins only .then get the food. Try not to have any gudget. Now he eat all variety of fruits and vegetables! No process food caused health is wealth especially if the kids is non verbal try to give a healthy food.

I discovered I was on the spectrum at the age of 40. From ages 4 to 13. I would eat out of only one plate that allowed my food to be separated. This specific plate. I would always eat my food in the order of vegetable, starch, then protein. Just a thing I did because it just made sense to me. I stopped eating out of the plate only because it broke when my mother was reheating my food in the microwave.
And I repeat, I didn't know I was on the spectrum until I was 40.

I think my daughter is autistic she is 4. She has a SERIOUS food aversion. I haven't had her tested because her pediatrician told me that I need to fix her any food and if she doesn't eat it then don't give her NO OTHER FOOD at all until she eats the food I made for her. I don't think that will work because of how my daughter behaves. The pediatrician said children aren't picky eaters that parents make them picky. She said if my daughter doesn't want to eat then don't give her anything if she doesn't want to eat the food I cooked.
I'm really starting to worry about my baby. Does anyone have suggestions? I'm in distress and I want my daughter to be okay.
She is smart, she speaks well, interacts (sometimes) well with children and other people, she is developmentally great but she doesn't like loud noises, new people occasionally, and again her food aversion is scary to me.
Any advice or suggestions is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi mom quick question, do you also use this method when introducing new foods to your child? This method worked with my son yesterday but I made a Mac and cheese because I knew he would eat it. Im trying to get him into fruits and stuff and I’m afraid with trying new foods this method won’t work.. what do you think?

Hi , has the doctor ever explained why they chew on their shirts ? My son is 3 and acts similar to this .

Hello, the doctor said that some kids chew on a shirt as a fidgeting behavior. They want some sensory input, and the shirt they're wearing is simply the easiest and closest thing to play with.

@@AutismMomandTravel thank you . . My son is being evaluated he isn't saying any words for his age and I put him in daycare thinking it would help and he has started chewing on his shirt really bad doesn't really respond to his name either .

@@SittingPRETTY727 once he is diagnosed start him with ABA Therapy as soon as possible. It helps with communication and responding to his name. Sending you 💕💕

The screen is a reward so that he will eat. Autistic children have extremely difficult eating habits and can lose weight quickly. She needs her son to finish his meals and this strategy works for them both.
