Are the odds high to get a room provided by Studierendenwerk Mannheim? I applied 5 months before the move-in date but I know you can start applying 6 months early.

I applied as soon as the portal opened and was able to secure housing with them! However, a friend I knew who applied a few days later wasn't able to.
